If it is to be called anything it is Fluff/Lore. Useless to the main story and mechanics of the game but provides you some info about the "world" of the game.

I think you have the same issue as me, you look into stuff...WAY too hard, I will agree Warriv isn't the biggest easter egg but he is one none the less, but the black mushroom most diffenently is, it's clearly a callback to Diablo1 and isn't always there, you have to search for it like an easter egg, it has no purpose other then to make you laugh at the moment, who knows it might be a secret item for later use (cow/pony portal perhaps).

The leak that was right about everything else so far stated that the 5 classes announced at launch would be Barb, Sorc, Druid, Amazon, and Paladin.
But like every other leak, take it with a grain of salt until it is proven true, they already said they are going to be releasing multiple classes throughout it's release, so they could change their minds on the starting lineup.

I believe they are talking about Xbox Live and Playstation +. Sony has been Notorious for not allowing Cross play.

Keep in mind that this game is still a long long ways from being done, and this was for the most part, just a demo for Blizzcon, They probably borrowed some assests from D3 to make a quick demo, such as the UI, items drops, and monster high-lightning, since they don't have the lighting effects in yet it, they wanted the players to see the environment before they go and tweak it.
