i was talking about 2 ideas: Craftrade Items + ModMaps. there. done. let your minds wonder about it. not gonna retype. LOL!

Craftrade Items: think of Warframe's crafting feature. the hilt, blade, etc. putting up for sale for players to buy, gold isnt the only currency. gems, resource materials, etc.

ModMaps: think of "Mighty Quest for Epic Loot" back in the early days when it was on PC. not the mobile one, which is what it is now.

A Map generator would be a really neat idea, instead of this seasons, allow the community to create their own events, arcade style.

could probably get some really neat side games, like Dota was for Wc3

Personally I'm betting it gets the Starcraft treatment, slightly better resolution.

I want it to essentially be Diablo 2 with D4's engine and graphics, but I know that won't happen. THAT is a true remaster, not the slightly higher resolution sprites they gave Starcraft, or the HD models they gave Warcraft 3.

I think the Warcraft III; Reforge team set the bar honestly, that is the direction that the whole classics crew wants to go, so it will not just be slightly higher graphics imo

I don't really either, honestly. But the PR around it was wrong, and any fan could have told them it was going to turn out poorly. The best solution would have literally just been a slide that publicly said the sequel was currently in development with like a piece of art, followed by a "we don't have anything else to say right now but it's coming." It felt odd at best and wrong at worst, and I think it speaks to either losing touch with the fanbase or losing the authority to communicate effectively due to decisions higher up.

Yeah, what I meant was there was already an outcry for Diablo 4, and people joking that the announcement was going to be a mobile game, and then when that is what people got after being hyped beyond belief just to be shot down a few days before, telling us to not be that excited (I'm still waiting for that this year).

people went nuts, and I don't blame them, Blizzard lead everyone on and had all these people purchase blizzcon tickets and virtual tickets just to completely disappoint them, people were understandably upset.

I'll bet anything Immortal will be a great game, and although I was reluctant at first, I will end up giving it a shot.

Warcraft IV doesn't exit easy. Exist only for sad fanboys warcraft 3. Is not Warcraft the franchising going to die but Diablo .......

I strongly disagree, there have been multiple openings for an unannounced real time strategy game, after reforged was already announced, so unless Diablo 4 is going to be a RTS (which would be hilarious), it is either the beginning of Wc4, a New Starcraft game or a new franchise, My bet is on Wc4, they already laid the ground work for it with the "Son of the wolf" comic taking place some 50 years from now.

What we have now was suppose to be a quick fix until the Blue tracker got fixed, then Dfans went down for that 3 months, and I think they just kind of forgot about it? maybe? lol

When did they say that? Do you have an actual source that quotes them somewhere? Because the only major quotes I've seen are from David Brevik:

Naw, you're right, it will only be 4, unless they reveal Wc4 which would be freaking amazing.

I was hoping for the SC FPS, but they split that team for OW2 and D4.

Blizzard has just declared last blizzcon 2018 warcraft IV is not in project actually.

Things change, after Blizzcon 2018, they now know that people want it, so it is probably one of the unannounced projects that was hired for this year.

They are updating all the graphics for a reason.
