Sep 15, 2013Ryude posted a message on Legendary Build Changers, Travis Day on Paragon 2.0, Travis Day on Paragon in Ladder, Lylirra on DataminingFrom the wording on how ladder works, it sounds like the problem of Diablo 3 will still be there. The only thing that will reset is Paragon experience, the characters and their items will remain. Basically, the same players will always be at the top of the ladder.Posted in: News

Sep 14, 2013Ryude posted a message on Diablo III - Reaper of Souls Datamined Class Changes - including even more Crusader abilitiesI've come to the conclusion that DH as a class just doesn't work. It's a fun class to play, but when it comes to efficiency it just isn't good.Posted in: News

What we can take from this, is basically that ALOT will change, playstylewise. Im ok with this.
Also, changing weaponthrow to a furygenerator = brilliant.
Only for Barbarian's and Wizard's. The other classes will play pretty much the same builds. -
Sep 13, 2013Ryude posted a message on Diablo III - Reaper of Souls Datamined Class Changes - including even more Crusader abilitiesI think people are just going to rage at these changes, but in reality most of them probably won't be like this when it's released.Posted in: News

I'm so thankful for all the hate... I mean, otherwise I'm sure Blizzard wouldn't have done a thing to improve the xpac unless people were like "THIS GAMEZ IZ LIKE SHEETZ... NO STATS, COLORFUL PONIES, I'M OUT! FUCK YOU BLIZZ AND YOUR RMAH!!!"... thankfully they have that great feedback to work on.
Obviously all the civilized negative comments about certain aspects of the game are useless. Oh wait, you're gonna pull the "fat Wilson" card? Nevermind then, sorry. Move on.
Sorry, let me explain what I meant...Quote from Ryude
I agreed with you until you said that Borderlands had completely broken elements, known for not patching and addressing game isssues. That's like the complete opposite of what Borderlands 2 is known for.
Axton's Turret was literally unuseable in any of the higher difficulties (one shot by most mobs).
Zer0's abilities were outright broken (to the point where you could find videos of people one-shotting mobs in the higher difficulties with no weapons).
The other classes had skills which simply didn't work until like 8+ months after release.
They released like 2-3 DLCs without even caring to address the vanilla version's problematic skills. Even with the hundreds of threads about it on their own forums. There were also these: 1 2 3 4 - iirc it took Gearbox quite some time just to fix those (couple months).
That was my personal experience with BL2 (played with Axton, found a lot of bugs and had to find workarounds or leave missions incomplete). Maybe yours was a bit more positive
I mean you can pick apart any game. Even Diablo 3 after the expansion will very likely have issues that were there from day 1. You gotta look at it as a whole.
Will Thorns damage ever be worth using?
Will there ever be team deathmatch? -

Actually it's in Blizz's best interest to let this information remain up on Diablofans.com
It's free Hype and PR for them.
yeah well they're not exactly known for their intelligence, are they? lol
One of the most succesful gaming companies in the world with the same few industrial properties?
Probably one of the few that still manage to keep those franchises fresh and running, and being a huge source of income a dozen+ years after their first games were released, despite all the hate and negativity from the playerbase?
One of the few that releases consistent patches to their games that actually address gameplay concerns (unlike other big franchises like Elder Scrolls, Fallout, GTA, Burnout and Borderlands, which barely fix bugs and the "completely broken" elements [as in unuseable, not unbalanced] 6+ months later)?
And that actually listens and replies to feedback, usually giving the context in which some decisions were made (in a similar fashion to Riot Games, which basically become what they are today by communicating with its playerbase)?
Yeah, I don't see them as the dumbest gaming developer company.
I reserve that title to companies like Westwood Studios, EA (LA), SEGA and Ensemble Studios.

Random, but still not as random as Diablo 2. If it truly is random like D2, then expect no one to play any act except 5. -

Exp from already dead characters better count! But then again, I'm pretty biased having a lvl 100 dead. But still, the exp was earned...
Yea, but I don't want to get my hopes up. I'll just believe that only living characters xp will be counted, that way I won't be disappointed if they announce dead characters xp doesn't count. -

You have to download DreamScene, then download the link in the youtube video, then use DreamScene to set it.
I'm too lazy for all that, I'll just settle for static wallpaper -

I mean when everyone else is at level 70, it's very likely that MP10 won't keep up with the inflated DPS numbers. So I'm really hoping they increase the difficulty and not just in act 5.
I'm 100% sure acts 1-4 will be "bumped up" in difficulty. It would be kinda ridiculous if acts 1-4 would become obsolete for the expansion. They also said there won't be an additional difficulty setting IIRC, so they need to have another solution for leveling 1-70. Maybe MP1+ will set all monsters on Inferno to level 70 automatically (which would cause some other problems, e.g., people on an MP10 ironman have this gap between Hell and Inferno). I dunno. Well, one more thing I'm looking forward to at Blizzcon ;-)
Agreed, very interested to see how they're going to deal with these issues. I am sure they have thought this through, as the plan all along was to release expansion packs to raise the level cap. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

Yeah, I'm the guy who deleted his account with 2 Paragon 100s. You don't remember me so I can understand that.

Act 1 = max ilvl 62
Act 2 = max ilvl 64
Act 3 = max ilvl 66
Act 4 = max ilvl 68
Act 5 = max ilvl 70
MP1+ = max ilvl 70
Another thing is that Monster Power has sort of become deprecated, we either need higher MP or remove it and make Inferno truly difficult again. Especially once players get 3k dps 1H (and god knows what the other slots will have). Players will reach 1M dps easily.

What we know:
-Each level of paragon gives you 1 Paragon Point.
-Each stat or passive bonus has a maximum of 50 points.
-There is 4 bonuses per category and 4 categories.
-Assuming you max out every bonus, you would need to be Paragon Level 800 to cap out everything.
-When asked what the maximum Paragon Level would be, they said infinite.
-Paragon experience from previous character will carry over to the new Paragon Level.
What we don't know:
-If Paragon Level still gives automatic stat bonuses and MF/GF.
-The experience curve, when asked they said they may be adjusting it from what it is currently.
-If the experience carry over from character you played, but then deleted or died in HC.
-If there will be new portraits above level 100.

Remember 3-5 months ago they said that they are going to fix Archon and Fury generation. TR monks are balanced by the fact that their damage output is quite a bit lower than if they weren't using it. Using Archon and WW/sprint offers higher dps than if they weren't, that's OP.

Yes, however, they also stated that the loot 2.0, paragon system, etc is coming to the base game as a free update. What's unclear is whether the loot runs and nephalem trials are included in that.

Well let's face it, no one can do MP10 without the Gold/RMAH.
