1. Yes party members benefit from it
2. No your follow can not apply the debuff or dot (legendary gems don't work on followers)

Most of the time I'm not in 5760x1080(surround) because streaming that way on twitch is clunky :-/
Pay no attention to the blurry cord mess
I only found a menagerist once on PTR and didn't get a chance to check the icon on the minimap. Does anyone happen to have a screenshot of the goblin icon as it shows on the minimap? Or does it just look like a regular goblin icon?
Edit: found it on reddit!
The days of getting 15x group xp is gone with the loss of XP leeches. The current number is ~3x or so, which, imo, is a good spot. Diablo 3 is NOT a single-player game with multiplayer capabilities, its a multiplayer game with single-player capablities. Having SOME disparity between the solo player and the group player is fine.
I respectfully disagree. It's the exact opposite since Diablo one the game was designed as a solo player environment with multiplayer functions added on and tuned after the core story mode was finished. Considering the fact that you only said Diablo 3 I'll bite on that. At BEST it's a game designed for both play modes. Unfortunately the depth of story mode takes too much time and effort to be considered an additional play mode. This goes for beginning game, mid game and end game content. OP has a valid point.
I agree with Bagstone and Autiwa. Don't interpret this as "I don't care about non season blah blah blah" but this is one of the reasons why playing in season is your best bet if you want an even playing field. If you think about it, the non season leaderboards would be in the same boat if previous seasonal players decided to just play non-season instead for an era. Also, I have boat load of legacy legendaries and sets just for the giggles in case i want to do something on non season. But it's definitely not an exploit and it may go against design intention but it's not going to be adjusted.
It sucks no doubt. But it's not entirely unexpected. In California we call that a "bummer".
I'm gonna have to strongly disagree with you on that one. I keep every ancient Item I can for the classes I'm currently playing in season in case a current meta breaking build comes out that I need to switch to. I Also keep all the ancient items for the classes I am using in season for the roll over so that I have something to test with on PTR.
So I was messing around with D3planner for awhile trying to think of a good generator build for DH that eventually lead to a chakram build. I'm Curious to see what people have to say about it. I think it would be good for either 4 man or solo. Nothing game breaking mind you but it's kind of interesting:
So any thoughts?
lLways play public games for normal rifts and bounties. They just get cleared quicker and I've never been a fan of communities. It winds up taking longer than just dropping into a public game. Greater rifts are only done with my 2's partner and unless it's the first week or two of the season.
