Anyone noticed that Ureh is just next to Caldeum, that's pretty suspicious.
Also does this look like a ruined city to you?

Jul 18, 2008Veltras posted a message on Kingdom of Shadow - Lost City of UrehThere's a lot of interesting theories going on around here.Posted in: News
This may be unrelated, but I remember during the WWI that they said something about the Race from which the Rogues originated and I thought it was related to this city for some reason I can't remember.
Diablo III - World Lore and Environment Art Panel
Caldeum
Leonard Boyarsky - Lead World Designer of Diablo III began the discussion panel for the
Diablo III World Lore and Environment Art Panel. Skovos and Caldeum are some of the zones to
be explored in Diablo III. Skovos is an ancient city where the rogues come from.
- Richer History and Deeper characters: NPCs will say where they come from to make it feel
like you are playing in a living world to reflect their culture and philosophies. Caldeum
population have a eastern kind of look.
EDIT: I just check the map and Skovos is actually one of the Amazon Island, is it possible that the Rogues actually came from the Amazon?
Can't wait to go the Amazon Island -

Jul 11, 2008Veltras posted a message on Diablo III Trade and EconomyWhat's the difference between getting a big lot high runes/sojs/godly items and getting a big pot of gold?Posted in: News
To get a lot of good items you need to do a lot of runs, hoping that someday a monster will drop something. But what usually happens is that you only get crappy items. Then what you do is wait for someone to make a game asking for this item and try to charge him the big price for it to screw him over. Like the other day I tradded a fal for two facets + some crap and then a couple of days later I found someone who tradded one of the facet for 1 hr.
To get a lot of gold, what you need to do is to kill a lot of monsters. It could take forever but as long as you're killing stuff you'll get there eventually piece by piece if you must.
So what's the difference? With D2 tradding system you had to spend a lot of time trying to trad crap for good stuff, while if gold would be more important you could get good items directly by tradding gold instead of trying to trade sh#t all the time. -

Jul 5, 2008Veltras posted a message on Blizzard Comments On The Classes In Diablo 3Posted in: NewsQuote from "paikdoosan" »Why would Diablo III be more WOWish if they made a Paladin. Diablo already had a Paladin originally and WOW got it from Diablo.
That's weird, I didn't play much to it but as far as I know Warcraft II had paladins first before Diablo 2 came out...
Imao Paladins don't belong in D3 and certainly not as he was in D2, we need something new and fresh.
Quote from "Sly_dawg19" »4.Rouge
And heres why: This one is completely obvious, DUH. There will be an Amazon type character, Rouge fits male and female, it can encompass all aspects of fighting. This is a no brainer.
Rogues are like Amazons, there's no such thing as a male Rogue... -

But but but there's already a paladin class in WoW, wouldn't it make D3 more WoWish.:mad: -
Jul 4, 2008Veltras posted a message on Blizzard Comments On The Classes In Diablo 3Lol, I made the exact same thread yesterday.Posted in: News
Anyway, as long as the classes are more unique and there's more class specific quests and interactions with NPCs, I'm in.
Just can't wait to know what the other 3 classes are. -

It's hard to wait, but we really need more info on what they're planning for the new skill system.

$%#$ where can I buy this game now!?!... oh wait nvm :rolleyes:
It's an obvious improvement from the previous games, but I'm still glad to hear they're going to do it. When you look at SC or even WC you can easily find memorable protagonists from the story (like Zeratul, Kerrigan, Arthas, Malfurion, etc.), but looking at Diablo the only thing you find are antagonists or NPCs (The Butcher, Lazarus, Tyrael, Diablo, etc.). Sure we remember all of the classes' from both games, but we like never got to actually know them, like who are they in the first place, what's their past and why are they doing this. I think it's about time they give the main classes a personality of their own.

And what about the Souls, who hasn't at least been killed once by a barrage of lightning coming at you from nowhere and then one of those ghastly being popped out of thin air.
Certainly both of them are more memorable than the Blunderbore and the Blood Lord (even though they were pretty cool too).

Diablo 1 -> Diablo 2
rogue -> act1 rogue
Warrior-> act2 mercenary/act 5 barb
Sorcerer-> act3 Iron Wolf
I have the feeling that we're going to see some D2 classes return as mercs, I can already see the pal and the necro come back.

Me, I'm different. I'm a man of science backed up with one crazy imagination, I just don't know when to stop. Here's a little secret, the only way to truly live forever is to die a couple of times along the way. The tricky part is that you have to find your way back into the game everytime, just like Diablo :P.

Marius is just one of Diablo's back up guy. You know the guy who do all the important stuff while Diablo's busy fighting Tyrael or something. I'm sure he got others, like that other guy Juris Khan, since he wasn't killed in Kingdom of Shadow I think we should be hearing about him soon. Diablo needs a way to come back on Sanctuary after all, but again that's another story...:evil:

Well maybe New Tristram and its surrounding towns are going to be small, but looking at the concept arts of Caldeum, looks like it's going to be one huge city. Maybe they'll even have to put waypoints in the city to allow you to go from place to another.
Ureh too seems to be a huge city, but that's another story...:evil:

As for the Triurn returning, I think there might be some twist to it. Like instead of worshiping the three prime evils maybe they worship Azmodan and the 7 deadly sins. I'm saying this because of that demon the Thousand Pounder who has the title of Gluttony Incarnate which suppose that we'll probably fight the other ones before finally fighting Azmodan.

I think I understand what your trying to say, but Jered Cain is Cain's grand father or something like that, so there's no problem here.

There's a strange mage looking guy standing on a rock in the second artwork. Strange, maybe he's conjuring that sandstorm or whatever it is.
