    We definitely don't know enough on this topic at this point to be able to judge it. Let's say you need a specific skill, well maybe a class specific item that gives you + to that skill will be all that you need. Plus if the mercs are going to more elaborated then maybe you can use one to counter the weaknesses of your build.

    It's hard to wait, but we really need more info on what they're planning for the new skill system.

    Never thought the UI inventory in the past Diablos were that awesome. I think they weren't creepy enough and they were too bland. The new one got that gothic feel to it, so in a way it should feel even more diabloish.

    Yeah that's what Ureh is there for. It already has been said by Leonard and Bashiok that we wouldn't see Skovos in D3 but that the Artwork was to build a background for Sanctuary. It's probably the background for a new class or as some might want to believe a future MMO.

    seems that they'll give us a rpg full of action, viceral action, but this time with a deep story, like a good rpg must be, be prepared to see somethig bigger than final fantasy, or god of war,or the previews diablos, or whatever you've seen about envolving game story:thumbsup:

    $%#$ where can I buy this game now!?!... oh wait nvm :rolleyes:

    It's an obvious improvement from the previous games, but I'm still glad to hear they're going to do it. When you look at SC or even WC you can easily find memorable protagonists from the story (like Zeratul, Kerrigan, Arthas, Malfurion, etc.), but looking at Diablo the only thing you find are antagonists or NPCs (The Butcher, Lazarus, Tyrael, Diablo, etc.). Sure we remember all of the classes' from both games, but we like never got to actually know them, like who are they in the first place, what's their past and why are they doing this. I think it's about time they give the main classes a personality of their own.

    Where's the Oblivion Knight? Okay they weren't that cool in D2, but in D1 they were really scary evil looking :evil:.

    And what about the Souls, who hasn't at least been killed once by a barrage of lightning coming at you from nowhere and then one of those ghastly being popped out of thin air.

    Certainly both of them are more memorable than the Blunderbore and the Blood Lord (even though they were pretty cool too).

    Think about it

    Diablo 1 -> Diablo 2

    rogue -> act1 rogue

    Warrior-> act2 mercenary/act 5 barb

    Sorcerer-> act3 Iron Wolf

    I have the feeling that we're going to see some D2 classes return as mercs, I can already see the pal and the necro come back.

    posted a message on Aging to death
    Some people just have to die sometime you know. They already got problems living 50 years without being eating out from the inside by boredom and all that weird stuff they repressed as a child. I mean when you've been doing the same things for a longtime it just gets boring after a while, and more than often people don't come up with a very big imagination so yeah life is boring... If tomorrow science invents a new way to enable the average Joe to live for the next 5000 years I predict that not even 1/4th of them would make it throught the first 1000 years, they'll just kill themselves after a while.

    Me, I'm different. I'm a man of science backed up with one crazy imagination, I just don't know when to stop. Here's a little secret, the only way to truly live forever is to die a couple of times along the way. The tricky part is that you have to find your way back into the game everytime, just like Diablo :P.

    Here's another question for you. Why did Albrecth had Diablo's Soulstone stuck in his head. :P

    thats why i posted what i posted... so we all agree alaskanfire?
    yes we know marius is kaput... my point is, he was so frail and dumb and stupid and weak, do you think his history might be revealed a little in D3... WHY HE GOT THE DREAMS? remember? he always had the dreams. Even before he met the wanderer.
    What made him so special?

    Marius is just one of Diablo's back up guy. You know the guy who do all the important stuff while Diablo's busy fighting Tyrael or something. I'm sure he got others, like that other guy Juris Khan, since he wasn't killed in Kingdom of Shadow I think we should be hearing about him soon. Diablo needs a way to come back on Sanctuary after all, but again that's another story...:evil:

    posted a message on Bigger Towns and More NPC's
    You know what they say, the bigger the merrier.

    Well maybe New Tristram and its surrounding towns are going to be small, but looking at the concept arts of Caldeum, looks like it's going to be one huge city. Maybe they'll even have to put waypoints in the city to allow you to go from place to another.

    Ureh too seems to be a huge city, but that's another story...:evil:

    posted a message on The Triune
    This has been discussed plenty of times before, but looking at Blizz penchant for ridiculously big shoulders I think those "heads" are just in fact part of Diablo's shoulders and they have mouths just to make him look more creepy.

    As for the Triurn returning, I think there might be some twist to it. Like instead of worshiping the three prime evils maybe they worship Azmodan and the 7 deadly sins. I'm saying this because of that demon the Thousand Pounder who has the title of Gluttony Incarnate which suppose that we'll probably fight the other ones before finally fighting Azmodan.

    OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!! nobody noticed this????? how can you not. its the first thing i noticed.

    so the horadrim was established in 897. ok that is ok to me.
    mephisto soulstone under kurast area in 902. ok sounds reasonable.
    diablo captured and horadric monastary built. 918. ok
    and im skipping the rest cause it mostly gameplay.
    baal defeted in mount arreat and worldstone destroyed.....!!!!! 1265!!!!!!

    ok this makes me think. horadrim. only surviving horadrim. dekard cain. now we dont know how old he joined horadrim(i think) but we know he was with the capture of the prime evils.

    which would mean 902-1265 he has been alive. WTF.

    this guy is over 200 years old???????????????

    begin discusion of this old geazzer now.....

    I think I understand what your trying to say, but Jered Cain is Cain's grand father or something like that, so there's no problem here.

    Cool update, Skovos apparently isn't a location we'll go to in D3 but it serves as a background from one of the new classes...

    There's a strange mage looking guy standing on a rock in the second artwork. Strange, maybe he's conjuring that sandstorm or whatever it is.
