Aug 30, 2008My point is simply that if they were created by an Angel then it's possible their warriors fight for the High Heavens like the Zakarum (apparently) and thus replace the Paladin in some way (classwise). I think a greek based Paladin/Ranger sounds more original and cooler that the idea of the inquisitor which sounds too much like the old Paladin himself.Posted in: News & Announcements
Aug 30, 2008Posted in: News & AnnouncementsQuote from name="Elfen Lied" »Kind of weird since the only ones who fight for the Light are the Zakarum. Multiple times in Diablo lore does it speak of Inquisitors, yet we have not seen them.
Ah but you're forgetting that new society living on Skovos which were founded by an Angel and her lover (which was briefly introduced in the lore panel of the WWI). Sounds like we may see something like a half human half angel class or something along the line.
Aug 30, 2008What's all that whining about the paladin, people are already going nut about the graphics supposedly being wowish do we really need the paladin back as a class. It may have been a popular class in D2 but it's D3 we're talking about and we need new popular classes lol.Posted in: News & Announcements
The Barb returned mostly because lorewise he got ties with the Worldstone and because his people are still somewhat in touch with their Nephalic powers (As demonstrated by skills like Warcries, Hammer of the Ancient, Seismic Slam, etc.) and all this make a good plot device. Mark my words, the new class fighting for the light won't come from the Zakarum Church.
Aug 30, 2008Yeah it was cool and it seems to have brought back some faith in the community. I hope next time they'll talk more about the lore and how it started for Diablo somewhat like they did in episode 2 with SC. I'm curious about how it all started, space vampires anyone?Posted in: News & Announcements
Aug 28, 2008Here's some ideasPosted in: Diablo III General Discussion
A monster that multiply itself when you use normal physical attacks (like the barb could only kill it with skills like Hammer of the Ancients)
A monster with an unbreakable shield and that can only be killed by attacking his back.
A monster that is invisible when you're staring at him and try to sneak up behind you when you show him your back. You would have like just a couple of seconds to kill him when you switch back or you would have to wait for him to attack you.

Am i wrong or it's already in news? lol. I just made myself happy for nothing heh.
Lol, the wait to Blizzcon is going to long if they're already starting to show us reruns of previous interviews...
Aug 26, 2008Veltras posted a message on Whats the Backstory of Sigon? Or the Immortal Kings? There isn't any official backstory about these items. Some such as Tal Rasha, Bul Kathos, Griswold, Natalya and Trang Oul are based on characters from the game and the books but that's it.Posted in: Diablo II
I heard this suggestion before that Cain could give you the backstory of items in D3, so if any of them is returning we might hear something someday.

Lol, good old timesMoe: You'll all be back, you, you and YOU
Barney: Of course I'll be back, if you didn't close I wouldn't even leave
I used to play D2 a lot more, but the game became way too much repetitive. Yeah sure there's always that build you didn't try but heck it still stays the same old routine.
I still play sometimes but just when I don't know what to do or when I'm too tired to do anything else.
Aug 26, 2008Posted in: Unannounced ClassQuote from "mattman155" »Fire bomb=trang set fire ball
exploding pets=corpse explosion to a point
enhancing=curses but backwards and only on enemies
soul harvest, i never seen it. What is soul harvest?
Fire Bomb may look like Fireball (mainly because of splash damage) but fire bomb is a lot slowler at farther range and thus plays differently plus you don't need Trang Oul to use it.
Exploding pets /= corpse explosion, you don't need to kill monsters to make your pets explode and thus the mechanics aren't the same
Enhancing pets with locust and fire bomb isn't a curse it's a buff and is nothing like the Necro ever had
You can watch Soul Harvest in action here
Aug 26, 2008Posted in: Unannounced ClassQuote from "ZonerZ" »what about almost every single WD skill we've seen being an alteration of a necro skill?
What about Fire Bomb? Locust? Soul Harvest? Enhancing/Exploding pets?
I have a feeling that The WD will be played a lot differently than the Necromancer.

Jun 21, 2008Posted in: NewsQuote from "Schism" »Ever heard a french conversation ?
cough. german. cough.
Frenchies are not that kind of evil, but trust me they are more uncapable of than what you could believe... cough @ueer... cough... @ueer.
Jun 21, 2008Posted in: NewsQuote from "xibbog" »Sadly, there doesn't seem to be enough noise. I don't expect a D3 to be announced unfortunately.
I don't know there, if there's a place on earth where I expect Diablo to appear, it would be in the dark and sinister streets of Paris just next to the La Porte de l'Enfer.
Paris just seems to have a Diablo feeling about it.
Jun 21, 2008Posted in: NewsQuote from "Explorer" »http://wc3db.blogspot.com/2006/06/blizzard-worldwide-invitational.html
Blizzard has never had a worldwide invitational outside of Korea...Interesting...Blizzard has never announced a Diablo title outside of Europe...Intersting
Weird that this fact didn't come out of the bag earlier. Is the countdown to the final countdown finally nearing its end?
6 days 23 hours 12 mins 4 secs left before the WWI
Jun 20, 2008Veltras posted a message on Diablo3.com becomes Diablofans.com! Blizzard acquires diablo3.com.Don't worry they're not going to do anything, they'll probably wait at the very last minute making the tension so intense for us meanwhile that the very pages of these forums shall tremble with angst.Posted in: News
Jun 20, 2008Posted in: NewsQuote from "likwidsteel" »I will most likely kill myself, because everything else in my life sucks... Diablo is probably the only thing keeping me alive... That's really sad...
Indeed, but you're forgetting that Diablo is the most evil game in the world...
Not even death can save from him ;).
Jun 18, 2008Posted in: NewsQuote from "Medievaldragon" »By making the game Digital download, if you lost your CD now that the no-CD patch was implemented you can purchase Diablo II via digital download instead of buying a CD off ebay or from a store.
Also newcomers to the Diablo franchise are now able to download. I am a heavy collector of Warcraft novels, and all its previous games, and on 2004, I purchased Diablo II and LOD.
Naturally there is a portion of Blizzard fans who have never played Diablo, and if they wished to purchase it they can do so now straight from Blizzard via digital download.
This benefits many types of fans' technical needs and issues.
I hope that Blizzard will do the same thing with their future titles, but as soon as it gets out. That way I won't have to lift my fat @$$ off my chair and go to store to buy a copy.
Jun 18, 2008Off topic: Hey MD, I got the word that diablo3.com isn't working for some people in europe, do you have any idea of if Blizz has finally took the domain?Posted in: News
On topic: Great news, if only I didn't already have a virtual copy of D2 LOD.
Anyways I wonder what else they're going to include in the patch, new monster? new runewords? or simply fixing some bugs.
Jun 16, 2008Posted in: NewsQuote from "timmatahii" »OMFG do you see it!
DIABLO is above the LETTERS L AND I
And if you NOTICE! thats JUST TO FREAKY TO GET UNREAL!
Really better clues are needed
If this is how things are right now, imagine what kind of rumors we're going to find on these forums in two years if D3 isn't announced.
Jun 16, 2008Posted in: NewsQuote from "ov3erlord" »get your hopes up people, something simply must happen at the end of wwi!!!! you seem to forget the positives quickly:
1. why would they choose THE DATE and not any other?? just to piss us off? that would make no sense at all. the coinciding date is a great hint, because if they just stuck a needle into a calendar and choose the date, they would have a 1:365 chance. so this must mean something, or can you think of any other date which would mean something specially for this game?
2. diablo3.com being transferred is also a hint, although a smaller one
3. xfire wwi tagline
4. pinata, all the other hints, top secret diablo positions opened
i mean come on, how can you not give it more than 50/50, i'm thinking more about 80/20.
now who is with me on this one? any true diablofans here?
also, a month ago md and umaro were so active here, md had a lot of posts where he defended wwi as the announcement place, now for some reason he is quiet and just posts news etc.. no high hopes from him.... seems simillar to those blizz people who know something and just don't tell
Don't forget that WWI has been rated 16 and older, and that Diablo is the only Blizzard franchise rated mature.
I'm telling you people it's a conspiracy from Blizzard, they're just playing with our minds to make us go crazy before bludgeoning us with something even crazier. There's apparently no reason for them to announce D3, but still every evidence are pointing in that direction.
Jun 15, 2008I knew it! thanks for the confirmation MD. It's weird but just a day after the patch there's going to 10 days, wonder if Blizz will take diablo3.com soon and make a countdown with it just like they did with starcraft2.com last year.Posted in: News
Jun 15, 2008Just to add a little to the rumor mill, anyone noticed that the ladder reset was just a day before we're 10 days away from the WWI. Maybe it will be the prelude to a countdown, but judging by the silence of Blizz so far it's probably just crazy talk.Posted in: News
