Naw it sucks. Smite is just a bad spell, even with double smite and 6 shains per smite its still shite. If they made it so the second smite cast also returned another 5 wrath it could be considered
The BEST thing about that armour is the Transmog is ( I think) unique and looks proper "Ima holy crusader lolz" unlike most other chest transmogs.
Yeah, and the whole Diablo 3 Vanilla revolved around trading non stop on the AH or enjoy the "amazing" item rewards that killing monsters gave us....
A trading game, yeah, sure.
Sometimes i wish Developers would stop with those propaganda speeches.
You understand there's a butter zone here, right? The AH's were on one end of the extreme. BoA is on the extreme opposite.
The truth is often somewhere in the middle. It is incumbent upon Blizzard to find this middle ground.
There isn't a middle ground, either you can free trade items or you cannot. There isn't a "free trade for X amount of time" that doesn't fall into the former. People will find a sick item and just log off until they find someone to trade with.
Also Jay Wilson last worked on Diablo 3 how long ago? His quotes on the direction on the game are hardly relevant at this point; even overlooking the fact that the majority of the diablo 2 crowd blame him for the ****stain Diablo 3 was on launch.
Start combat : Punish for 15% more block chance, Shield Shield Shield, Punish (kinda like a WoW rotation lulz)
When you're out of Wrath, SHIELD GLARE the largest pack around you to refil it and continue. At low levels of gear crusader do suffer somewhat from resource starvation; you did stipulate no unique shield or weapon; however getting the plans for "REAPERS WRAPS" from Malthael and making yourself a tasty Fire/Str/Vit/Crit pair should be a farming priority for when you need a break from riftriftriftriftriftss...
Never been a fan of the fancy web links so I'll write mine out
Passives:
Heavenly Strength
Divine Fortress
Hold Your Ground
CHOICE (I use Holy Cause; but there are a handful which are nice; Wrathful is good; Fervor and Finery also highly rated. Finery is kinda wank until you have 6 gems in your gear)
Button 2 : Akkarats Champion: Prophet (Oh shit button, 150% extra armor makes you tough as hell. Can be used to wreck champion packs of course; but with this rune it becomes much more a defensive CD than offensive)
Button 3 : CHOICE (I used Falling Sword : Superheated, Steed Charge is also nice for mobility, its your call - what ability do you like the look of?)
Button 4 : Law of Valor : Answered Prayer, running with 3 stacks of Nephalem Glory (and its pretty easy to maintain 100% uptime on 3 stacks with this rune) is a marginal damage upgrade but the extra 10% movement will make life so much easier after Heavenly Strength guts it.
Pretty straightforward fire build. If you don't like the Blessed Shield: Combust; swap for Sweep Attack: Blazing Sweep for a full melee crusader, however ranged attacks are so useful when facing any of the innumerable "monsters that prefer to run away"
I think its a wonderful idea; I@m stuck with my clan as they're the peeps I've played WoW with for 7+ years; and I'm happy with that; but I'm currently the only Crusader so it can be a bit of a glumfest watching all the wizards trading up
Seeing as this is a weapon thread; may as well ask here - as most stats on weapons can be found on other items of gear; is it not best to have pure DPS stats on a weapon (x-y dmg, 10%dmg 7% AS socket) and let your armour provide the primary, CDR, RCR etc.
I can't get 10% damage affix on my shoulders but I can get 500 Str; so why would I worry about getting 750 str on my weapon...
Natalya's will give the set bonuses (boni is a word only ever used by people with large objects blocking up their anus) more readily when you have the weapon; possible combo with Marauders set also...
Pre-ROS I heard a lot about build changing gear... yet I haven't found anything of the sort yet. I know that a few pieces exist, but many of us haven't seen one of them (I'd bet most of us), so who are these intended for? Is their idea that only a small number of players get to enjoy these "build changers" and the rest of us are just stuck with "find more main stat + cch + chc"? I don't think the gear "revamp" was executed very well.
What class do you play? I've been mostly on the Crusader so far in RoS and found multiple build-changing legendaries... More than I have exhausted the fun from the builds yet; so armor sets are building up in my stash ready for when I want to swap. Sure some stats are staples for any build; is that really such a problem?
The glas shalf full side of you even loaded you're answer with "disappointment"
I'd prefer to not have to interrupt runs to indentify stuff; and I like that I can have (like tonight for example) an Akkhan's Gloves in my bag that I *know* are Akkhan's gloves; waiting till the end of the run to ID and see the stats.
I know its obviously not as simple as just saying "get this one" but is there a higher dps shield for your templar than a Defender of Westmarch; or Lidless Wall with + Physical?
Never understood why they didn't give jewelry sockets a different effect
Socketing Ring/Neck with:
Ruby = Crit hit chance / Fire dmg
Emerald = Area Damage / Poison Dmg
Amethyst = %Armour / Arcane Dmg
Topaz = Crit hit damage / Holy Dmg
Diamond = Reduced resource cost / Cold dmg.
More on-topic; I like the idea of there being legendary gem *plans* so that once I've found it I can make multiple copies; if the gem can roll a randomised result too that could make it fun; for example:
Akkarats Eye: Legendary Gem, mats = 1x Flawless gem of each colour + legendary crafting mat from rift bosses only;
Can only be socketed in a weapon
Increase duration of Akkarat's Champion by [35-50]% Increase IAS during Akkarats Champion by a further [8-15]%
Something along those lines would give alternative farming objectives; as well as provide some build alternatives; that was an off-the-cuff example but I'm sure you could think of some of your own
EDIT: Blizzard really need to just automatically give legendary weapons sockets ofc
Update: New 2H Flail just dropped, its not been reforged at all yet; waiting for the %damage affix bug to be fixed in case it isn't retroactive (just in case)
