So your problem is with unavoidable damage? You're acting as though Monks have 0 other mitigation.

Hey, you know those succubus mobs? (And others) they debuff for 50% armour redux you know how much that screws over armour based toughness? You go from 85+% mitigation to 60% mitigation. Thats nearly 3x the damage. Omg fix. No. Learn to work around it.

Disregarding if the Succubus are elites with other affixes ofc :P

Bottom line. You cannot dodge molten, desecrator, plagued, poison enchanted, arcane sentry, poison cloud, soul siphon, thunderstorm, or orbiter. STR and INT based bonuses (Armor and Resist All respectively) mitigate ALL these effects. Thus, Dodge is the worst damage mitigation bonus because it doesn't mitigate the majority of the damage that you actually take.
You're not really meant to just stand in those things without an amulet to make you immune of Blackthornes 4 set though... I'm not saying your wrong about dodge being bad; just the excuse that you can't stand in all the crap is a bit of a weak one to make.
Horseshit. Thunderstorm is unavoidable damage for the first hit and Plagued in particular is a low-intensity effect that is often stood in. You will also very often get hit by the others whether you want it or not while moving from place to place, due to Vortex/Jailer etc or simply due to the screen being filled to the brim with them. You aren't "meant" to get hit by anything Diablo or Malthael does either, so making your armor and block worthless against them would be fine by you, I assume?
If thunderstorm is one or even 2 shotting you, you're trying too hard. Yes you get hit by these things; of course you do. If they one shot you you're overstepping your bounds :)

Most classes can't actually just stand in loads of crap without paying the price, or compensating elsewhere.

They should just make block and dodge work against all damage types; then monks would be broken ^_^

In my personal experience I find the step up in mob density (perceived or otherwise) between t3 and t4 make t4 more efficient for me :)

People love to fall back on "rng" BS. I have over 100 hours /played just on my WD since RoS, and believe me when I say I've had days where it has rained loots (good loots), and other days where I could play for 3 hours straight and maybe get a soul or two.

I very, highly, seriously doubt that their RNG generator truly works right. I've never believed it did.
But... you just described exactly how RNG is supposed to work. How is it that people don't understand this? RNG means that you will have good days, bad days, and mixed days. I mean, seriously, you have two polar opposite experiences and you can't figure out how that relates to proper RNG?
    The mind boggles really :o

posted a message on Stuck on T2. Please help : )
Swap cains legs and vyrs gloves for ashearas set. This leaves your helm free for Andariels. Sure the MF is fun but meh. +XP% from gear is additive and therefore fucking useless (you get 1150% from t5, 1200 isn't that much more...)

Until you get the Andariels, the Ashearas 4 set is amazing for survivability as it has a very high uptime (like, I rarely ever find myself in combat and not with my followers) and adds damage too. Ofc it means gearing your followers but its not really very hard. On top of being 3 seperate targets for the enemy; the buffs hey provide (crit, AS, armour, resource regen) ontop of the heals and hexes and charms... That set jumped me from t2 to t4 in one fell swoop.

Shield Bash- Pound crits for 30 million on elites for me. With my Piro Marella or w/e the hell its called it costs me 15 Wrath (note: Thats the crafable Cru shield that *DOESN'T REQUIRE A WHITE SHIELD TO CRAFT o.O*

So its Blessed Shiled to clear the rift; Shield Pound to polish off the boss. My next step is to work in Area Damage% to 75+ then my shield pounds can smash anything nearby for 20 mill+ too. Don't think it will work amazingly; but interested in trying it out.
If 740% weapon damage + 500% of shield block is 30 million, how 75% is 20 million? o.O
I'm not claiming to be correct but I understood Area Damage worked like so : Any time you deal damage there is a 20% chance to proc your area damage which will hit for "area damage%" of the hit in a 10 yard radius. If it works that any hit you do deals "Area damage% of weapon damage" in a 10 yard radius its probably the weakest stat they have EVER introduced ^_^

Blessed Shield is already the most popular ability for crusader secondary. It has one flaw, the one you described. If it didn't; it would piss all over any other spell we have.

Single target is only lacklustre if you don't play Holy.

Judgement > Akkarats > Shield Pound x10 = dead boss.

Out of interest when it "bounces onto the crusader" is it going to be hitting us for 10 million too? I mean I'm immune to Arcane and I think the game considers arcane + holy the same damage type (it has the same resistance certainly) so it wouldn't bother me but was there not already some aggro over BleShi killing ppl with friendly fire?

Don't give up! :D Those 18 probably really appreciate what you've done and the more that join certianly will too. Just remember that crusader isn't as derp faceroll as wizard so fewer people play it. If I had the same paper doll damage and toughness on my wizard I'd be ripping through much higher difficulties. Wizard is easymode diablo :D

    What is this?

I farm for about 5 hours a day and average about 10 legendaries in that time. Rifts > Kadala. Got a Blade of Prophecy and a Maximus in the last 150 shards I spent....

Also am I the only person who can read St Archew?

posted a message on Armor of the kind regent is it any good?
    Quote from starzie

Yes armor of the king regent stacks with golden scourage, i'd say it's not really worth it because if you are playing holy you have all the aoe you ever need with shattering throw. however if you lack aoe and are in lower torment say 1 or two you could probably make it work quite efficiently.
"If you are playing holy you use shattering shield"

    Nice.
