Ive never even attempted an RP before, Lord Mantis is my character information (which I've altered slightly) acceptable for a RP?
The common games worlds used are Sanctuary (Diablo), Azeroth (Warcraft), Fae'run (DnD) Old World (Warhammer), and Hyrule (Legend of Zelda), but they are not the only ones you can use, so long as the world you use is medieval, for example you could use Erathia (Heroes of Might and Magic), Albion (Fable), Middle Earth (LOTRO) if you wanted to.
you character must also be true to the world you come from, ok so throughout the course of the games you come across a few oddities, in BGII you came across Drow, yet you couldnt be one yourself, for example. But since Drow do exist in the BGII game world, Fae'run BTW, thus you can be one in the RP thread, if you want to.
I made my class, Vampire slayer, is it okay cuz it isn't given here.
I'm not overly familiar with that world and/or it's classes, but if you want to be a Vampire slayer or hunter, there are several options available to you from DnD, the Paladin sub class, the Undead Hunter, or a Ranger who's favourite enemies is Vampires. But I suppose we could always try working something out prior to the "storyline" thread going up.
Most of you are aware i use MSN/AIM/XFire, so you can contact me on them to get some quicker responses than trying to do it through Email/PM/threads

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
This thread is for the discussion of the story, where its going, where you’d like it to go, also questions about the campaign (which hopefully can be answered) these sorts of things.
Rules
-After the Initial part (prologue) is over and done with, if you want to take a small group of the people from the thread and shoot off somewhere and go kill a dragon or go treasure hunting in some abandoned tomb, you can.
-Also the NPCs I made in the character thread are available for you to use, (just don’t go killing them off, ok)
-There shall be no in-fighting, save it for the forces of evil, or rip each other new ones in PMs, so do not do it in my threads!!! Well if an evil mage were to charm you or use a domination spell, then maybe you could fight someone else in the thread.
-Due to this taking place in the world of Sanctuary, or any of the other worlds for that matter, this does mean you can find/have items from that world, but I will make this absolutely clear You are writing a story not coding a game! A Sword of the Flame does not do +24 fire damage, its burns with such an intense heat, it quarterizes flesh as it tears through it.
-In regards to the use of the various skills in the games, your character is assumed to be capable of performing all the skills of their class, so long as you are fully aware of the limitations of the average character and/or the spell/skill you are using. Trying to “Bash” a mega demon is probably not going to kill it in one hit, though it might do some serious damage to it. You don’t have to make your character pound away at a demon for hours on end, but neither should you make them Über powerful, most of you are capable of finding a middle ground.
-In regards to DnD portions of this little campaign, you can use which ever edition DnD rules you are most familiar with. This includes the use of sub classes and sub races, as different versions, have different sub races and sub classes, some not found or available in previous versions.
Example of sub classing: Fighter (Berserker) Example of sub racing: Elf (Moon Elf)
-If you need to go inactive, you can give someone permission to use your character, otherwise you better get your character to the nearest town and have them hold up in an Inn or Tavern for the duration of you inactivity.
-There shall be no leet, no text or chat speak in here. You are to use language conventions present in medieval times and that which is found in medieval literature, or medieval fantasy. Basically what you would find in LOTR, or from a whole host of medieval fantasy games; Diablo, Warcraft, Icewind Dale, Baldur’s Gate, etc. This is medieval fantasy role playing, not crazy barely able to understand it mumbo jumbo.
-Your character can curse, cuss or swear, but like stated above, it must be medieval-esque. “I shall send you to Hell you evil Bastard!” or “You arrogant mongrel half breed bitch!” This is not GTA, so I do not want to see a whole bunch of more modern words we use commonly that did not exist back then.
New Rules may be added if they are needed, Rules may also be edited if the need arises.
