People couldn't keep up with seperate skirmishes, so I decided to go for seperate threads. I had thought of it before the idea was put forward in this thread.
I can't wait.
Do we get to meet link?
Ill need to check where the OOT timeline slots in with the SICK timeline before I could confirm or deny that. I'll do that now.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
If i put all three parts, Amn, Hyrule, and Kalimdor, in the one thread, there is too much jumping around between them, and people will get confused/lost. so I will be making seperate threads for each part. pretty sure this has already been mentioned, several times I believe.
1 thread will become 3, then will become 1 again, when we all join back up.
There will be links from the current thread to each of the new ones, and when the three new ones conclude they will link back to the current thread.

There are a few "players" yet to choose a destination.
There are also a few people have posted characters, but have yet to post.
Also the thread is open to new comers at this point.
I'll probably give it another day or two and if by then there are no new posts, I shall throw up the new threads, and we will continue. I might eve nbe "forced" to pick a destination for some, though I would prefer to avoid doing that if I can.

Basically we are just waiting for people to decide where they want to go next. I'd like to avoid being a hard ass, and be all you go here you go there.
Basically you have;
-Amn a province in Fae'run (Dungeons and Dragons/Baldur's Gate)
-Hyrule a large kingdom (Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time)
-Azshara a coastal area in northern Kalimdor (Warcraft III/World of Warcraft)
Also if any new comers wish to join, you may do so now. Just read through the storyline thread to get an idea of how things go, although it's not the greatest example as some of those who have already posted are fairly new to this sort of thing, and so learned along the way.

Yeh. I don't mind too much, but yeh, you are a big perpentrator of the "story jump". everytime I bring us all back together you "jump" again.
Entertaining defintiely, though it does mean I have to work a little harder than I should.

we are at a point where the story has effectively started again, i guess would be one way of looking at it. A "square one' of sorts. everyone is pretty much in the same location at the same time.
so unless you are going to be absent, there really isn't much need for someone to play your guy, also your one of the few characters, that can pretty much only be played by you. No offense meant, but your character has different stage of appearance and whatnot, being triggered by different events. Even I forget them half the time.

Elfen, seeing as how things have gotten fairly confused and people are separated feeling like they can't post I have a suggestion.
For the next section of the story you should make different threads for each seperate quest. That way we can keep things a little more organized and won't have to jump around storywise.
Also, Alpha, Jetrall, Silver, and Sofa, if you don't want your characters left behind find a way to get back with the rest of the story. Although it was an entertaining read (I did enjoy it by the way) you should generally wait for the Dungeon Master to make quests. We're done in Dun Craig, just be patient for Elfen to get us on track for the next section. If you guys take too long you'll get left behind.
I don't mind a bit of jumping around, LOTR worked fine enough.
I might look into different threads, though that will require alittle more attention on my part, "DM"ing 3 or how many threads there are.
I should be getting my group of people out of Dun Craig and on to the next part of the journey soon. I leave some time for those of you wishing to join me on the next leg of the journey. to post that your coming with. Then yeh I'll think about seperate threads. Right now, that is more of a "last resort" I'd perfer not to go that route just yet, but when faced with no other option, I shall yield to it's will.

Elfen's chars are chatting as a group about the talisman.
They have since discovered the materials used to make the talisman come from far and varied areas, and as they are so far apart they felt it best to get some reast and head out in the morning. you are free to accompany them, as that is the main story.

One exception are my characters, as technically the fall under the realms of NPCs and are usuable by all, so long as what you have them say or do is not out of character.
But yes, generally speaking, giving lines for someone else character is technically playing with/as their character. And as a rule is not allowed without prior consent, but if they don't mind by all means go ahead and do it.

People jump all over the place. We are looking for information regarding the talisman, no better place than a tavern, people are more likely to talk when intoxicated.
And besides, I never mentioned you were there, (Alpha did) There are how many characters in this story, why couldn't some be in a tavern looking for answers while others are on the battlefield.

yeh, that basically covers the prologue or chapter one.
now we just have to find someone who looks like the might know more about the talisman than we do. We might have to ask pretty hard. *slams fist into cupped hand*

That's from the Monster Manual, basically if you make eye contact, it's insanity bleeds into you, making you confused, not knowing friend from foe.
yeh that sounds about right. thanks for the info, i lost my copy somewhere.
but if you do ever get around to playing BGII, when you fight an Umber Hulk you will seem them throw something at you, and it will confuse you. it's a kinda cool little animation. I'm just not 100% sure what exactly it is that it throws at you, but sometimes i swear what ever it is getting hurled my way is brown looking, and not because my vid card is on the fritz.
Well anyways that's what we are fighting right now. Yeh I will be confusing a few of my own characters, probably my Barb. he would have low charisma. so he probably wouldn't have very good saves and thus easily become confused.

For those of you unfamiliar with DND creatures, i've decided to post pics/links in here. I will be using a few of them
Umber Hulk
They attack with their claws and they have an unusal way of confusing people, in a computerised DnD game it looks like they throw shit at you, no lies it does!! But that's not actually what it is, err least I'm sure that its not shit. Anyway the effects of the confusion being hit by their "shit" is only temporary.

I will be introducing the annoying reoccuring runs away, err teleports away to fight another day lackey mini boss guy soon.
It should be fairly obvious which one he is, so please dont be an asshat and rush in there and (try to) cut his head of with one attack, and not take some damage yourself.

Though i did have to bring my Squire character back to kill something I figured others might of had a go at.
