Are people reading previous posts and continuing on from where they left off? because you all really should be.
Bout the only exception to this is Jetrall, because he hasn't caught up with the group yet.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
That is generally how things go, some people don't quite get how these things work, but learn along the way.

Elfen, i think you have an npc for every characer, eh?
yes I do, and I plan to have a portrait for as many other characters we come across, sep. for maybe minions, bosses and the like should have portraits. most major caharacters will. This isn't Neverwinter Nights, where every character had a portrait, I just do have the resources for that, will actually I do, it would just be time consuming on my part, and would give me less time to work on the story.

Technically as summon skeleton is a spell, that would mean that "Johnny" is an effect of a spell, rather than a character.
My Necromancer is often followed by his Iron Golem, yet I did not make the Iron Golem as a seperate entry in the character thread, but I did mention him.

I will indeed, but for now, i'm good with just an accent. they aren't actually from germany, just an area modeled on it.

I have the Hellsing Manga, its covers german, Scottish (well technically its Irish but in the way they look on paper they are the same) and French.

Thanks , elfen. Now i can slay a lot of undead, hehe. I'm specializing in that.
So is my Drow Cleric and Cavalier, they both have the skill Turn Undead, which either brings an Undead creature under your control, or obliterates it.
Those who have posted characters, will be all that is in the story for now, if other people want to join in, I'll let you know in this thread when you can join.

If we "jump" straight into battle, there is limited room for people to do some initial character development and to see how writing dialogue for the characters work (esp. if you gave your character an accent). Also I need to confer with my Co-"DM" Lord Mantis with how attacking works. I do know the basics, but I may have to be the Bad Guy/demon/boss for some banters/combat situations.

I would like the RP thread to start off not too big. I don't want demon slaying and world domination right away. You know what I mean?
I wouldn't do that.
first mission is stop a siege, much like in BGII: TOB, LOD or IWDII, but you don't even start in the city right away, it's about a day's march away.
so yes Zubin it's possible for you to come across a graveyard on your way to the city. Also the besieging forces is most demon, there is not law against some of them being Undead.

We will see, just adding some dialogue now to my opening post for the story thread.

I'll more than likely be dealing with the other sides of your conversations/battles. But I will also be working the enviroments, falling debris, bogs, swamps, rivers, forests, scree (loose rocks) slopes, etc.
Murderface dropped out, just waiting on Ajax, 24 hours, he doesnt post, then i'll post up the "storyline" thread.
oh BTW once the story thread is up, with there being about 18 of us playing, it would probably be a good idea to refresh the thread often, incase someone got in and posted before you did.
1 open thread
2 begin making post
3 copy text
4 refresh
5 paste text
6 continue writing
7 repeat 3-6 until finished with post
and hoepfully no one beat you to it.
you don't quote posts in these sorts of threads, and while I can just delete out posts, i'd prefer to not have too.

With the addition of Stormcat, that makes 17 people, excluding me. And no, I won't be my SICK char, as is the case with Silver, there would be some balance issues. Plus I have enough characters to be as it is (see below, under players list)
I won't throw the actual RP thread up just yet, (partially becuase i'm still fine tuning it), incase people want to edit some things, and/or we get a few more players. but 17, should be fine.
Currently we have;
TehStickleman
Winston
Sessler
AlphaX
Carloseus
Genesis
Caliban
Zubin
Lord Mantis
Jetrall
Sofawall
Thasador
Phrozen Dragon
No Explanation
Silver
Stormcat
Think we are just waiting on Ajax and Murderface, if they are still interested.
17 + 11 (that i made) 28 characters. plus I have to be any and all townsfolk, villagers, city dwellers, enemies, Mini bosses, Bosses, random quest assigning NPCs, talking sentient weapons/suits of armor (if there are any, and I might add one for funzies), random magically talking objects like a statue.
so yeh i think we got enough.
I don't really want to spoil things, but neither do I want people to be aww gay, if i had know that was the story i wouldn't have joined, so the basic storyline for the prologue, (i.e the bit we all have to do) is a city under siege by demons, mostly low level minions but there are some tougher guys too.

Like I said before, the "storyline" thread won't go up until there has been a few more people posting their characters, and they have made sure that both they and myself are happy with the character, I'm pretty laxed on characters, not everyone here is a total game world nerd, and knows a world like the back of their hand, so a few minor issues are bound to happen. But I am allowing some time to "iron" them out.

It doesn't deal with attacking though. Lord Mantis' follow post has a link for attacking.
