I'm certain the last class will have strong physical damage by wielding ranged weapons.
And i don't believe the game will have more then 6 elements (fire, poison, frost, lightning, arcane, holy*not confirmed*).
It's very unlikely to have another "holy" class and since our last class is a archer type, i think it will focus on the usage of poison, fire and lightning (poison and fire arrows, gas bombs, eletric traps...).
Maybe i'm too close minded, but blizzard gave me a reason to be so.
I guess it is possible for the last class to have some of a few different types of magic form different categories but the character would loose some identity and specialty. I just hope they find a away to make the last class different enough from the pure physical melee of the Barbarian other than just giving him range. I also think that this last class has to have some form of magic.

Exactly, no elemental damage. Either traps with physical damage or utility. Maybe a trap the roots or pulls monsters together making it easier to shoot them with a bow.

Hmm. We're still missing mind/mental, earth/nature and unholy/shadow. I guess the ranged class could be like the Amazon and just use Lightning and Ice even though they're already being used by another class. I'd rather have a class that's not so much of a watered down Wizard though.
Wizard have a fire spell too, and wind is a kind of tornado (maybe physical) and I never see a spell of water ?
I think we can all (if not most) agree that the last class will use bows, but beyond their weapon, what type of damage will the last class do. I don't think they can leave it plain physical and I don't think that they will overlap most magic types. There still has to be something else that will distinguish this class form the rest beyond their weapon of choice.

Well the Wizard, I think (s)he's meant to be quite versatile, I remember they gave her a poison spell too but gave it to the Witch Doctor later... So okay, fire too. Wind/lightning... whatever, it's all Air Magic to me. And ice, that's just Water Magic imo... But the question mark is there because maybe they'll actually give her real water magic, like drowning an enemy by casting water in it's lungs or something like that..

I don't like !!! I think water will not be in a spell, only ice (what will be the resistance for water ?) nothing ?! that's mean your spell idea "drowning an enemy" will instantly kill. Yeah I'll cast it for boss and duel :thumbsup:
I just think physical is too similar to the barbarian and all of the known elements of damage are already being used. This is not to say that it can not be any of those. I just think blizzard is really trying to get each character to stand out and using the "magic" that other classes already have will make it hard for this class to stand out.

I like the scyberdragons idea which would include snares and other curses that would resemble the necro curses somewhat but wouldn't it be a pain to lay out traps every single time your encounter a horde of mobs?
I really like traps and all that but i see a problem with the flow of gameplay if you have to stop and lay out a lot of stuff before pulling mobs.

I think the last class will be a ranged melee class with some healing/spell casting powers. If you think about it as a 5 person party, we already have 2 close range classes (Barb,Monk) a mid range class (Which Doctor) and a far range class (Wizard). All the classes can jump forward and back in distance if necessary, but I think they do have a preferred distance by nature. So that leaves us with 2 close and 1 mid and 1 far, I think the last class with fit somewhere between mid and far.

Yeah, there is always the possibilty of being able tothrow the traps. I hink this ability would coincide with a ranged class plus help keep the game play up.

Unless monser AI is insanely better than any previous game, I think throwable traps would be way overpowered. Open a door, throw a few traps wait 5 minutes, then go in and collect the loot.
Boring, unintuitive, and way overpowered. This is the kinda shit I would expect people to start doing immediately to MF, LVL, and RUSH.
So, no thanks.
However if they gave it life points, and made AI so that they would prioritize killing the sentry, then it might be slightly better.
But even then I still think players would find ways to take advantage of bugs/or the such to hide traps in unreachable places.
The trap should be a critically weak structure, unable to do much if not well positioned. Easily destroyed in other words.

Im not a big fan of traps unless they are really super good and they can pwn. I mean, all you are doing is sitting around hoping someone walks on your trap, and unless the monsters are stupid or the person you are playing against in PVP is stupid, they are going to go out of their way to not walk over your traps. Investing skill points into those things are boring to me unless they are torrents. Torrent traps.... that could be cool.
Now in terms of the last class, ill be very happy if it is a ranged class. Given that the reanged class is my favorite of all the classes i sure hope they dont mess up my favorite class I want some really cool skills! Skills that can kill monsters. lol

I fear that could be boring, I find any ranged (bow) characters that they never pwn.
