LOL so its like a chemical reaction. C + O ---> CO (which does not keep the characteristics of C and O).
That was actually a very good analogy
but according to the heretical books all humans are part angels and demons not just the nephalem.
Since humans are all the descendants of the Nephalem, every human is equally both human and demon. However, humans do not have the abilities or qualities of demons or angels, as observed by the in-game experience. When the Nephalem were created/born, they were an entirely new race, even though they came from demonics/angelics. Their powers were then suppressed by the Wordlstone (tainted by Inarius), and then the slow weakening of the Worldstone (which is mostly just hypothetical) led to the birth of humans with the power to defeat the evil (both demon and angel alike) that plagues Sanctuary.
Yeah, your right, I'm thinking (for those who tried Age of Conan) a Herald of Xolti type of class (It's was a melee mage that could turn into a demon) and that was a pretty cool class, like light armored with a big melee wep. (Btw I haven't played diablo 1 or 2, but I'm gunna buy 2 tomorrow and I am SO going to let diablo 3 rape my life.... diablo 3... I want you .... inside of me!)
I'd like to see a powerful priest, maybe something like Malic was after Lucion made him a new arm. Something human/demon hybrid thingy Human priestly skills and some demonic.
I know the witch doctor is fairly unique even though it taps into Necro like skills...But I want something completely NEW!
Something like a Demon/Minion that used to be on diablos side and is now pissed off at him or his brothers for some reason (maybe he was betrayed or affronted in some way) and he wants to destroy everything to do with the 'dark side.'
It doesnt have to be some beast looking creature, even though that could be pretty cool, but maybe some dark evilish looking char would be sweet. And could also tap into some wicked skills.
I'm not sure how they would incorporate stealth in this game.
Would they use an invisibility spell? Or how would that work?
I don't know that I'd like it if there were a "stealth" class in this game.
Also, I don't think they will make the typical ranged class we think of if they do use one. Because they aren't going to remake the amazon, by any means. SO, if it is a ranged class it'll be something new (to the diablo realm of course).
I stand by my original idea as being the best new class. Just my opinion

You can think of stealth like th shadow mastery skills of the LOD assa. Otherwise i know real stealth has no place in a hack&slash.
There has to be something to satisfy stealth fans, LOL.
Your idea is really not bad. As i said before, there IS a tiny chance of putting some class in that has some demon stuff in his blood. But you know Diablo is usually human-only so it has to be really like a human.
Dont worry, it fits beside my class idea.
Getting more and more curious about the remaining classes...
Okay, yeah I wasn't sure what you meant when you mentioned the stealth class. I think stealth is cool and I'm all for it, but I'm curious as to how they would impliment true "stealth" into the game.
And thank you for the support! Yeah I know Diablo is all about humans vs. inhuman (unhuman?) but I just thought that could provide some more story and would be pretty cool in gameplay as well. Plus it's really different from anything we'v seen in a diablo game so far.
I know what you mean about curiosity! I know info will be spread all over the place when they have the Next Blizzcon or WWI and reveal more d3 stuff but I am really motivated to go to one now so I can be there and see it live in person. Plus I want to play a demo!

If there is some sort of stealth, i hope it is not a huge part of whatever class has it. If there IS stealth, I hope it's more like leap attack, in that it is just a) a temporary escape by becoming invisible for a few seconds, and/or occasionally something to lead into attacks for a damage boost. I don't think the character should spend much time walking around stealthed, and stealth should be magical in nature. Nothing is sillier in a game when a character just hunches over and suddenly you cant see him anymore.

Just my opinion, what do you think?
LOL! that is a character that I would most definitely play first. What you are describing to me is Spawn (hellspawn) something who has somehow become "detached" from the realm of hell, not by Diablo or Malebogia or Lucifer, but by some other force, possible the heavens... and is now a rogue.
Just imagine how comical the npc speech would be for that char, -indroduction "AHHH DON'T EAT ME PLEASE!!":P
Just think of the range of possibilites for skills, for a character like this..... endless.
I would really like to see a pure evil character like this emerge, niether living nor dead nor undead, just consumed by darkness.
Question: what would this class be called?? perhaps Unknown, Hells Angel?
imo for the playing as a demon, i think it would be like instead of female-male for the human classes, you would have either play as demon or angel. and depending on the class you chose will have it's own unique story. besides, the other classes have their own unique subquest, why wouldnt an angel/demon player?
ive mentioned this a few times before, but i wana bring it up again: the light/dark items rumored to be in the game, and how they could work (idk with a with a demon/angel class. it would be weird the have a demon wearing angelic gear and vise versa but it could be like defecting.) but having a human character wearing angelic gear makes them more on heavens side and more demonic gear on hells side affecting what kinds of quests you would get, stats, etc. it would introduce an interesting spin to existing characters to make em less boring for ya.

I don't know that I'd like it if there were a "stealth" class in this game.
The only way I could conceive of a stealth class is if the character casts a stealth spell (or stealth skill) that enables him/her to run ahead (as an outline of the character) to find a group of enemies to lay a trap amongst them and then return to the group or where the player initially entered "stealth mode" from and when that group of monsters is located, the trap goes off.

That'd be a way to do it. I just don't think I'd like this...Doesn't seem like a 'Diablo' type class...imo.
I think maye they'd be able to go invisible for a certain duration or something but still be able to attack and lay traps or whatever.

It just shouldn't be a permanent stealth.. it should have a short time.. so you would stealth and make an attack etc. You couldn't just sneak around trough the whole map.
I have always felt that there should be a some sort of revised assassin class:
1) Someone that has the ability to use two light weapons simultaneously, like the katar or samurai style wielding two short swords (or a sword dagger combo...ect), and has the appropriate special skills to accompany such weaponry.
2) A character that also has more assassin-esque skills such as traps but also ranged weaponry; at least bow/crossbow capabilities (this would allow a character to be more versatile and not depend on a single skill tree, which is what the games designers have been trying to do with creating a system in which players depend on a variety of spells rather than spamming a single one).
3) And of course a character that uses some sort of 'dark arts.' Being able to use stealth to sneak up on enemies for attacks or to lay traps (a temporary effect that doesnt work against all enemies such as spirits; perhaps looking like the stealth cloak of 'Predator' lol, or even allowing you to look like the enemy that you are approaching which would sort of satisfy all those who wish for a demonic shapeshifter). Someone that can use buffs to add poison/fire/magic/etc damage to their attacks. Passive skills that increase perception(if it becomes a factor in D3), agility, endurance, defense, ect.
You can easily label this class as a revise Assasin, or if you wanted to slightly alter a skill or two it could easily become a Ronin/Samurai class (which would be cool and tacky simultaneously). If the class took on a few more 'magic' abilities, both good and bad, it could become either a Demonologist (or Demon-Hunter) or a new Paladin style class (perhaps in the last twenty years since the events of D2 and the corruption of the Zakarum a new religion has arisen and these are their own 'holy/sacred knights/protectors'). If you substitute axes and spears/polearms for the duel weaponries, and add some light summoning skills the character suddenly becomes a Ranger/Woodsman or even a revamped Druid if you play your cards right.

Me thinks you want a Hellboy class!
LoL. I never watched those movies, but judging by what I've seen in previews and such, yeah sounds about right.

I'd like to see the assassin re-done, actually ...
And there'd need to be a ranger class ...
So, that's five. Ya.

and believe me, that was not nearly an exaggeration in my terms!!
I'll have to put together some drawings of what I picture. I know Diablo has always been "humans" but this would eb a sweet change-up. IMO.
