I know the witch doctor is fairly unique even though it taps into Necro like skills...But I want something completely NEW!
Something like a Demon/Minion that used to be on diablos side and is now pissed off at him or his brothers for some reason (maybe he was betrayed or affronted in some way) and he wants to destroy everything to do with the 'dark side.'
It doesnt have to be some beast looking creature, even though that could be pretty cool, but maybe some dark evilish looking char would be sweet. And could also tap into some wicked skills.
Just my opinion, what do you think?

I really don't know about the skills or its strengths, but if it was a demon, perhaps it would be naturally stronger against demon class monsters or something...like the item affixes in D2 that added dmg against demons, or undead.
I just picture a human like figure, with a sweet breast plate and a helmet or hooded cloak but only being able to see some red or yellow eyes. almost like a black mist and the glowing eyes are the only thing within the helmet/hood. Or it could be something that looks like a monster, but wears armor and other gear.
Then I just think they could come up with some EVIL/Dark spells...I'm just letting my imagination loose.
I just wanna play this game...Too bad its so far off.

As cool as the "Demon" class sounds, i don't think its a good idea. It just is too far fetched and out of place in diablo. It has always been the humans destroying evil monsters, and it should stay that way IMO. The necro is the closest we have been to a dark sinister character. Maybe someone similar to him (in style, not playing) will arise in a unique class.
I dont get what in the character you really want to be unique.
I just think they should have one class be something fresh. Maybe they'll save that for the expansion...who knows. I just liked my idea. But i see what you're saying about it being difficult to include something unique.
I think they should have the char look evil and the skills could be evil related. I know its hard to get away from summoning and the other generic skill types. I'm not suggesting they deviate from those, but they could just put a different twist on it. Instead of having a Paladin with Holy Shield, Auras, etc... Or a zon with spam shots.
Like what they did with the wizard and the slow time bubble. That is friggin awesome! it makes me excited (no worries my pants aren't tight) because its new/unique (to diablo).

Yes!!! He/she could have a spell that unleashes the beast within and they transform into some sweet demon! Thatd could be cool, but maybe difficult to impliment in a good/fun way???

I think that's an OK idea, but I still want the original rogue from diablo 1 to come back. Or maybe the original sorcerer. He was cool.

I was thinking something like that too. Or perhaps a cultist that has decided to fight for the forces of light. With skills like possession or dark calling.
I just want a character that is "dark" like my beloved necro

War tactics tree, assassinating tree and something different, dunno.
Or better yet, seperate the "war tactics" to one tree that has daggers, short swords and more stealth type ranged weapons, and another tree that has bigger weapons like swords, glaives and bows etc..
I should write a class idea some time.

Well, technically, the only reason the mortal of Dverse fight hell is because of their invasion. So, what if there's a 'warlord of blood' type of class?
As a kind of reverse paladin who only fight for 'evil' because Heaven decided its high time they invade Sanctuary for themselves.
Well i've jus started reading the Diablo books so I don't really know Sanctuary so much (just in the game and too liitle about )!

Well... The worldstone is destroyed. Maybe a character whos the member of some kind of clan that know about the Nephalem (their ancestors), and try to unlock their powers?
People always mention the idea of a knight that has both paladin-like and necromantic powers. That doesnt really make sense as paladins get their strength from angels and angels wouldnt allow them to use those abilities if they also use necromancy.
But as nephalem are angel/demon theirselves, this class could take a role similar to the mentioned above.
Yeah... Possible. But not likely.
but according to the heretical books all humans are part angels and demons not just the nephalem.

Not all demons are diablo's minion. And if a angel betrayed the High Heavens, a demon could betray the Burning Hell.
