we it depends, obviously classes returning and being exactly like hey were before would suck, but if they were similar, the barb was similar to the warrior. heavy on the melee, with a few spells.

I agree with you on that Lord Elfen Lied. My point was that if Blizzard makes a whole new cast of characters, with a little simularities to the previous characters, that would be for the best game. And yes, having the same characters would suck.

Those before me shall quiver in my wake as I unleash the fury within!
first of all id like to say your a retard, necromancer isnt a summon class, thats what a conjurer does, necro IS opposite to a paladin, and for god sakes, keep the thunderstorm in diablo 3, if there is no thunderstorm or traps for that matter, then it would make the game suck, on the other hand, the game might suck anyway,, seeing as how blizzard seems to be heading, with the friken gnomes and the genre of WoW, diablo will be very similar to that, but diablo 2 was good because it was gothic, for that matter, i liked diablo 1 better, plz blizzard make a really gothic game, not too cartoony cuz then it will be stupid and gay, very gay.... keep the TS!
Necro not a summoning class, with a skill set called summoning i find that hard to believe.
you are obviously a one post noob who is looking for trouble and who needs to get his facts straight. or you play the part very well.

I think there should be a tall, skinny guy. Like me:D . I dont know about the class though, but I think a necro or a buddhist monk could work.
And then there could be the opposite, a pygmee. Not a bloody fetish, just a very small black dude. He could have skills like. No magic, but a lot of stealthy skills like the assiassin. and a poison skill tree.
no thats dum why would there be all that stuff in the setting there gonna put it in its gonna be hell raiding heaven so it would only be cool if there was a angel or demons and then the expansion to diablo3 would include tonsof more characters
What do you think of the chronomancer? (a master of time controlling spells)
hmm dont really think they would be that great in the diablo world, a few spells they could have sounds great, like spells that age the target until it turns into a skeleton and dies, but no i think mage types similar to those that have gone before or those described in the list on the previous page, are more likely to be in d3 (an expansion to d3 or a d4)

I like the chrono dude idea. I don't know what he will be like, but I know that he opens a lot of doors for original and cool spells. The name though, gives me some very un-gothic, red alert 2 flashbacks:rolleyes:
Maybe he could be the tall skinny guy I want so badly:D
i think rather than have a set tall skinny guy, why not have the ability to choose body heights and size. but all this is covered in the master list.
so lets get back to talking about characters, or more importantly their classes, as this is the aim of this thread, to discuss possible classes, rather than character attributes.
see list on previous page.

The Drifter The Drifter is a character from an unknown origin, and prefers to travel by shadows to stalk and murder its unsuspecting prey. The Drifter is an enigmatic character, usually cloaked in dark robes, and it roams the night reading from its worn tome. The Drifter has been rarely spotted, but its three main skill trees have been discovered. -Trapping Skills: Unlike the Assassin, these trapping skills include the use of underground spikes, arrowed booby traps, and at higher levels, enchanted mines and sentries. -Draining Skills: The Drifter has multiple skills that have been categorized as draining skills. These skills include passive skills that apply to the traps to cause bleeding, life steal, and/or mana steal. Other skills that do not apply to the traps are a curse-like ritual that manipulates the enemy in a degenerate way. -Nocturnal Magic: These magic skills are most powerful when used in the night hours*, enhancing their abilities to full potential. Skills include some summoning of dark spirits, along with some dark magic skills which can heavily damage the enemy when skill points are invested.
Conjurer (Summoner) specializes in creating creatures and objects to help him. He is capable of summoning anything from flying scimitars, small demons to Balrogs, This is the charatcer that it appears many people want, he is a summoner, summoning powerful daemons and magical beasts to aid him
Conjurer would be interesting to see as well as the drifter...

easily, my preference for religious based characters like paladins and clerics would take priority.

Any1 for dwarves? I reckon they could be kinda cool, as long as they were tanked like a barbarian and a lotmore dark than warcraft looking dwarves are etc. Would excel in axe weilding ofcourse. Fast, strong and high stamina. Very low magic use. Any comments?
