it seems like an armored class, maybe paladin, the archtype is still mising, that and a summoner, maybe they'll fuse the two an create a dark knight of sorts like a dark paladin/necro mix, who knows...

Those Who Do Not Know True Pain Cannot Possibly Understand True Peace...
I am still hoping for a priest like Inquisitor, a mix of Crusader, Paladin and Priest, kind of like how the Rogue is a mix of Demon Hunter, Assassin and Rogue.
Yeah, a mix of pally + crusader would be great, game could use a brand new class. To be honest, even a Cleric class, as bland as it sounds, would be cooler than Pally or Sader.
Going Pally or Sader means revisting blessed hammer, auras, charge etc etc i think we already got enough of that.
Not sure the name, but I think they will be an embodiment of the "Desert Mercenaries" from D2. They will have auras like a paladin, but use either 1h/shield or a polearm.
1. Could either bee a hood or a sort of templar knight helmet (see these).
2. I could see these being a shaw or that extra bit you see on monastic cloaks overhanging the shoulders (see these shaws/monastic cloak).
3. These could either be the ends of robe sleeves--fantasy games often stylize them overhanging hands a little bit--or gauntlets.
My first guess is that since we already have 3 melee or melee-adjacent classes, that this would be some additional ranged magic class. Maybe like a Vizjerei mage specializing in demon summons and enhancements, or something more generic.
My second guess is that since they go pretty hard on the paladin (or paladin-adjacent) melee/holy magic class every game and in most of the books, it's just going to be that.
As much as I am rooting for Inquisitor, I have a strong feeling that it will be a Templar, They already added Paladin, they added Crusader, and now that we know the Church is involved somehow, and the introduction of the Templars in D3, and the fact that the D3 Templar has some much unfinished business within his shady ass order (The Church?), there is a very strong chance that Kormac will be the Templar that we play.
But I am still rooting for Inquisitor...Give me those holy exorcisms!

Given that D4 is 20 years after D3 i very much doubt Kormac is even alive, but even if he is the dude is around 60+ years, doesn't make for a very effective templar. xD

Me and my buddy were at BlizzCon 2019 and there was a crazy cool looking Diablo IV PC case mod and it definitely had a paladin looking figure on it. My buddy asked one of the reps there "hey is that a Paladin?" and the rep was like "uh... can't tell ya.."
In the characters selection screen we can see the shadow of 5th class, who do you think it could be.

Can't see the shadow in the campfire scene.

Inquisitor would be amazing.
The more i look at it the more it reminds me the concept art of the paladin in D2
Even though I would be happy with the paladin, I would really like to see a completely new class.
Now i saw the shadow.
Seems like a templar knight.

I guess that's two obvious answers but meh.

We actually have very little knowledge on how old Kormac actually is, just that he was a farmer before becoming a Templar.
But I re-did the Kormac quests, and found out, he actually DOES end his story in D3, so I'm back to Inquisitor full time

Will it be paladin?
