wonder what Leoric hunted in his backyard
hope the maps will be huge in Inferno.
Wonder who's occupying his manor now, unless he's in the cellar somewhere himself. and beta client is just a bit modded.
kewl kewl. i wanna plaaay
I'd figure if the mansion is on a fixed position you'll be there in no-time. (for so far i reloaded the game a couple of times, it is!)
However, leading towards Leoric's Mansion are the Southern and Northern Highlands, which are quite large!
I also presume that Leoric's Mansion is the last dungeon of Act 1, since there are no further waypoints except the 'Cellar of Agony lvl 2 and 3'

Seriously, how dare people say this game's graphics are not on par with today's standards. For me they're way prettier than anyting I've seen to date (on a isometrical view standpoint).
By the way, I see wut you did there Hpnot1Q.. thnx for saving me some time..

True dat. I've said it in another thread (about people QQ'ing about the graphic and being outdated) and I also remember you commented there. It looks like a painting, which is awesome, and this sort of graphics won't be outdated in 10 years time, unlike D2.

I agree. They may not utilize the latest/greatest DX11 tricks, but my god, the artwork is gorgeous.

It's absolutely stunning from an isometric view -- When zooming in though... the textures really look dated!

i still cant figure out what the whole art-direction dust up was about... these look like the same zone as the pictures that caused issues, and they really look like up-to-date screenshots of D2 act 1 (in a VERY good way).
Man I can't wait to play this game! I guess I've been waiting since 08, unless you count the years of hoping it will even be announced. I guess I can wait a few more months! Nice SS's! Great catch!

Off topic : On the discussion about the painted graphics, people are completely correct when they say that style will last a LOT longer then when trying to get the ultra realistic type. I wondered why, then had this thought of how to explain it :
When was the last time you've seen a cartoon or any type of drawn movie or TV show re done? Possibly remastered, or put in 3D, but the original artwork is the same. While on the other side, we are constantly seeing real life movies being re done to look better. Blizzard chooses this style on purpose because it doesn't put the game in the running with other games meant to look as real as possible, instead it's in a league of it's own.

P.S. God I love the architecture in this game...
I got these from the Diablo 3 beta client

Emulator Client (Am I allowed to give a link??)
PS Use at own risk, I didn't download it and I'm not gonna. Want my first experience to be when I first play the game upon release!

Those screenshots are from the Highlands Crossing.
As far as i can tell from the client:
Wortham Chapel Cellar -> Highlands Crossing -> Southern Highlands -> Northern Highlands -> Leorics' Hunting Grounds -> Leorics' Manor -> Halls of Agony (last dungeon)

The latest version allows you to use the waypoint system to access most of the zones in Act 1.
It is easily doable by any of you here if you want to check it out for yourself. Exciting at first, but nothing special once you walk through it all.
I neeeeed that tool!
