If all they know how to do is flame, well, better talk to them in a language they can understand.
This is the philosophy that keeps the forums as messed up as they are. Why go down to their level? They'll beat you with experience as is said. Don't fight fire with fire unless you're sure water is the worst way out.
huh and do you read what it says about you?

Diablo 3 is graphically and artistically great, there needs to be variety in the game, instead of only plain and dark areas!
+Wouldn't it be better and more interesting if from a sunny beautiful day, mist starts covering the screen, rain starts falling, thunders and lightning striking and it starts to darken, instead of constant dark!?
... of arguing what they like about War, i mean Diablo 3...
This is the argument that I have a problem with. The argument that if you like the art direction you MUST be a WoW fanboy, and sleep with your cdkey every night. I mean tell me that that is some critical thinking right there. Better yet are the people saying Blizzard is making World of Warcraft 2, not Diablo 3. Those are the people who's minds I really admire. Lots and lots of thought going into those posts, boy.
I myself agree with both sides. I can definitely see the WoW influence in the close-up of the barbarian. Lo-res textures and oversized armor just doesn't fit in Diablo in my opinion. The pastels of the outdoor area also seem odd. Having said that, the brightness doesn't bother me either. If you think back to Diablo 2 there were quite a few bright colored areas (though not pastels). Almost all of the outdoor areas in Act 3 were bright, and Act 1 had it's bright areas as well. However, once you went down into a dungeon or cave it got darker and murky. They contrasted the two to really bring out the juxtaposition of the dark areas. And really the enemies are what brought the fear-factor for me, not the environments. Knowing I could get my butt kicked around the next corner kept me much more on edge than some dark pixels on the ground texture.
In the end I would sign the petition just because I'm not 100% behind the current direction. I would buy and enjoy the game either way, but I wouldn't mind seeing a change. My main fear is that the petition has been tainted by all of the people spouting "color is so GAAAAY" and "I don't want WoW 2". This is not constructive criticism, and does not show any thought or reasoning. Those are the people who I would WANT to annoy if I were making a game, just to spite them.
if we get Ponies in the game... will we be able to kill them... that would be fun... maybe instead of a Secret Cow Level, we can have a Secret Pony Level...
edit : actually seeing all this WoW talk about the new Diablo i am thinking we need a new video on youtube... with Diablo and his brothers singing "The Internet is for porn"...
That petition of botting retards that think D3 looks like WoW because they haven't actually played the game in four years?
Yeah, heard about it.

Blizzard is not responsible for the death and loss of your hardcore characters for any reason including Internet lag, bugs, Acts of God, your little sister, or any other reason whatsoever. Consult the End User License Agreement for more details. Blizzard will not, and does not have the capability to restore any deceased Hardcore characters. Don't even ask. La-la-la-la-la, we can't hear you..,
guess im just gonna stick with d2... because watching the witch doctor just reminded me of wow... i bought wow and was very disappointed with the number of 14 year olds jerkin off to tauren... this is bullshit
Ya you know D1 and 2 was all about the mood for me..lol not the colors. I loved the game play video of D3 but thought it was a little too "cheerful". Needs darker more gothic tones.
Blizzard is there for the fans..they won't disappoint.
only thing your petition is missing is the gore factor get rid of the vanishing gore and let it stay bloodied on the floor.
As drowning pool said Let the bodies hit the floor.
eh i think the disappearing bodies are in our best interest.... seeing as how it will make the game lag less but its cheerful... but i believe blizzard will darken it up and not disappoint... but i dont like the witch doctor... go the fuck back to wow... bring back our beloved necro

i agree with you on the witch doctor there, blizzard are idiots and the wowheads are morons for even coming up with the idea of implementing him into the game to replace the necro, and bodies making ur game lag?, never happened with me and it still wont happen with me i like to see my hack and slashed mayhem lying bloodied and dismembered on the floor, as we all know D1 and D2 both had this, D3 is looking to Cartoonish and TitanQuestish and this is not a very good path to follow.
They could have just made a Barbarian 3D model looking like the digital art of the Barbarian in Diablo 2, I think it would have looked just as good if not better.

Titan Quest, the hundreds of dead creatures on the ground along with items, didn't slow the game down one bit, so I don't think it would be a problem if they execute it right, and ofcourse they will. TQ actually was released years ago, but it looks good enough to be out in 2007. They don't need to make the game darker, they just need to take away the green/blue lighting, I guess as long as it's not apparent in every inside location, it's not to much of a problem to have.
Lets see, 48000+ signatures, impressive. That leaves only 3,952,000 or so people who either like D3 the way it is or don't care and trust in Blizzard to make a great game. I hope Blizzard doesn't change D3 just please a relatively small number of people. I think you guys want D2 in 3D. The worst possible thing Blizzard can do is make another D2. Is this what you guys want in the end? I want a deeper more immersive game world. Sorry if you disagree but adding some color here and there is gonna help accomplish this. If a few things need to be borrowed from WoW too then so what. WoW is great game. Blizzard, please leave the game as is, it looks great!
If they are going to replace the witch doctor (which personally i hope not (just give him a new facemask for the love of god)) I hope they add being able to blow up your own pets to the necro.

Who cares how long it sets back or takes as long as it's made to the best quality possible in my opinion.
