I already posted a list of the petition and almost all signatures have comments, it would be a really, super natural job to make 1000 signatures / hour with different, distinct, long comments, yes, there's some duplicated signatures but i cant believe that more than 5% of the signatures are false.
I'm somewhat against the petition (did not sign), but I have to agree Ultra here.
I'm deffinetly going to get flamed now. But I fucking hope that blizzard doesnt listen to you whiners. This is getting too fucking annoying hearing you emo/goth kids. You guys are ungrateful, you've only seen like opening stages of act 1 and you fucking crying about what you already got. It's just the fucking beginning, chill the fuck out. Not all of the game is going to be bright and shiny, some settings will be dark and eerie just like you want. And there are techniques that you can do with the monitors or ingame settings, which I'm sure blizzard will make possible, to adjust the tone and contrast fo the game. Grow the fuck up!

Actually, I agree with you.
I'm just wondering if you could have squeezed in a few more "fucks."
I'm surprised at how many people don't like the art direction, especially considering that you can't determine the look of an entire game based on one dungeon. If you want them to change everything, you will have to wait longer for the game, and it will only make it more like a D2 expansion. Fuck that.

Please don't sign that ridiculous art direction petition. I've waited eight long years for Diablo III, not for another Diablo II expansion. And shut up about the Necromancer being gone. Diablo II didn't have any of the same classes as the first game (except for Sorcerer/Sorceress).

That's the exact problem, these imbeciles are bitching over ONE VIDEO. They want Blizzard to change something that doesnt even need fixing, seriously, when was the last time you were scared when playing Diablo? Diablo isnt about graphics, it's about gameplay, and they are just ignoring the fact that it's one act and its been 20 years since the events of D2. And they had to get the fucking losers over at G4 involved.

Oh and let's not forget these aren't opinions anymore. They're arguments against Blizzard's decision. "Colors are you friends".
The Starcraft 2 community offered feedback and got them to tone the game down. All was said and done. Here you guys are foaming at the mouth and suddenly a petition goes up within a day or two after the video is out.
There is currently a bot adding signatures to the petition. If you refresh, there is a new petition added every 15-30 seconds. After the initial announcement, there wouldn't continue to be a constant trickle of signatures.
Very lame of whomever is doing that. Very lame.

No, they are opinions and the things you see in the petitions are the arguments that support their opinions. You see, this is what a mature person would do - he would say something and then support it with examples and arguments.
This is the same thing as what the SC community did. These are suggestions on how to improve the game, this is feedback. A petition is just used so it would prove that a lot of people think this way instead of having to sort out through flame threads who is against it and who is for it.
No, THIS is the problem: some imbeciles are too insecure about themselves and can't accept other people's opinions and always think that they (most likely the minority) are always right and anyone who doesn't agree is an idiot and are always showing their own idiocy by trying to insult others. Go see a shrink.
Your opinions are based on a game that you dont even know how far it is completed yet. Have you ever seen the pictures of starcraft now and when it was announced? You're all jumping on Blizzard without knowing what they plan to do. Blizzard hasnt said: This is what you're going to get, this is Diablocraft, we hope you like it.

I dont think it's a bot, there are plenty of gaming publications and tv spot mentions ive seen about the petition. With that kind of publicity You can imagine people signing the petition all damn day
The thing about this debates is that huge majority of those who like the art-direction are completely dumb and don't know the good arguments for their position from the bad.
This probably follows from the fact that most of the Internet is mind-numbingly stupid.
It's OK to disagree with the petition holders. It may be your personal choice to like them, and you can point out many different ways the new direction is unique and helps the game. It's great to do this using good, concrete examples.
The thing I want to point out here is that I start getting annoyed when it crosses the line from disagreements to just bad arguments.
Like arguing that the game is "just" pre-alpha. When the facts would show that Rob Pardo clearly stated they were looking more to create content that just to update the graphics engine.
Like flaming people for having a different opinion. Opinions are different, respect that shit, or just reveal yourself to be an uninteresting mouthbreather. Take time to understand where the other side is coming from. For example, as a supporter of changing the graphical style, I understand that Blizzard had to compromise for the most realistic graphics, for say gameplay. I UNDERSTAND WHERE THE OTHER SIDE IS COMING FROM, AND I RESPECT THAT.
But wankers on these forums like to circle-jerk by pretending they are "true fans" and Blizzard gives a crap about that status. No, they don't. They care about what sells more and personally, their artistic vision. All we are trying to do is appeal to that vision.
Of course there are plenty of dumbasses on my side as well (for example I don't agree with the "rainbow" critique). But since being against the art is a contrarian position, meaning UNPOPULAR, they are less likely to be completely out and out dumb than the mob flaming people for disagreeing with them.

It's quite ironic that you accuse us of flaming while you pin labels like 'dumbass', 'wanker', 'retard' and 'mouthbreather' on people who don't happen to share your opinion.
No, no, it's definitely OK to disagree with me with good arguments.
I will definitely flame hard anyone who uses BAD ARGUMENTS to support their side, because it shows they can't use logic and don't deserve respect.
It's really easy to shout whatever slogans the mob uses and not use any critical thinking skills. In contrast, it is much harder to do so when you are constantly attacked, as say, an "untrue" fan for not falling in lockstep with everyone else.
Anyone who uses good arguments I engage with constructively. Unfortunately, many people on this forum like use to use one-liners, exaggerations, and flaming and don't know how discuss things. If all they know how to do is flame, well, better talk to them in a language they can understand.

Seriously? That many people have signed for a change of art direction?
Wow, you all seriously might get it changed.

I'm somewhat against the petition (did not sign), but I have to agree Ultra here.
BTW... nice to get linked to MTV web site.
Ah, I usually stay away from the threads involving this, I hate people that bitch.
Good to know. I hope they don't change anything other than more detailed textures.

Sure.... they do, tell that to your grandma
