The DiabloFans Minecraft Server will be a server that I host so that everyone here can play Minecraft together. Working together, we can build an amazing world. Aimed at having fun, everyone and anyone is welcomed to join. If you are interested in playing, please feel free to post your interest or send me a PM.

DIVISIONS -
To help keep things organized on the server, there will be divisions for the players. All divisions and jobs are not restrictive to their roles. Anybody is free to do whatever they would like. However, the leaders of each division will be expected to somewhat active in their fields.

Head Director: Host of the sever, the director will be in charge of overseeing the entire world. He will work directly with the leaders of the other divisions as well as everyone else playing to offer help, make decisions, make rulings, and make sure that everyone is having fun.

• Co-Director: The Co-Director will work with the Head Director and make choices in the absence of the Head Director. He will also be the only player with Admin abilities on the server.

Lead Architect: The Architect is responsible for overseeing any construction projects.

• Engineer: The Engineer will be responsible for helping anyone construct complex mechanism and wiring with redstone.
• Conductor: The Conductor will be in charge of setting up transportation around the world with paths, tracks, and any other forms of navigation.
• Exterior Decorator: They will be responsible for keeping our map looking fabulous.
• Builder: Builders will be anyone else interested in building our world.

Master Explorer: Traversing the world, the Explorer will be the lead of all expeditions and expansions of our world above and below ground.

• Spelunker: The Spelunker will lead digs underground looking for more resources.
• Traveler: The Traveler will lead expeditions on land looking for new areas to develop.
• Miner: Miners will be anyone who wants to dig up the world beneath us.

Chief Security Guard: Making sure we are safe at night will be the primary responsibility of the Security Guard

• Soldiers: Anyone else who would like to go out and kill the monsters at night.

Expert Farmer: The Expert Farmer will be responsible for setting up and harvesting farms for both wood and food.

• Farmer: Will help maintain farms.

PvP: With health working in multiplayer, I would like to set up some fun PvP matches. Eventually building a coliseum to duel in. There will be different types of matches like barehands, weapons, no armor, and many more interesting combinations to test out your skills as a fighter. Hopefully adding a prize system of some sort into it.


RULES -

1. Absolutely no griefing will be tolerated. If you destroy somebody's work or steal personal items, you will be automatically banned from the server.

2. All divisions and jobs are not restrictive to their roles. Anybody is free to do whatever they would like. However, the leaders of each division will be expected to somewhat active in their fields.

3. Everybody will be treated equally regardless of what position they hold.

4. There will be no formal currency or trade system. Players will be expected to help each other with materials and other goods.

5. There will be community chests for anyone to add and take from. Any player is also free to have a private chest but it must be marked clearly as such.

6. There is no requirement of play time or contribution. We are all here to have fun, not take on another job. However, leaders of each division will be expected to be fairly active.

7. Any items found by any player will be theirs to use how they want. However, since we are trying to build a city together, I ask that any materials needed for construction projects be shared.

8. Anybody is welcome to join at any time. All current players are also encouraged to recruit new players to join. Any new player is asked to join DiabloFans because this is where we will be communicating all plans for the server.

Tomorrow (Friday 9/24) I will begin working on a home base for us.

So, how do i joinand log in? and which version should i have? can i get a version with sound yet?

You should have the current version that is out, alpha 1.12. once you are signed in, select multiplayer. I will give you the IP for the server, you enter that and you are in.Send me a PM when you are ready to enter the IP.

If I am not mistaken, there is a free multiplayer-only version that Notch put out.

Granted, I am often mistaken.

Next friday, when I get paid, I'll join the server.

I believe there was a free weekend last weekend because his server was done but to play now, everyone must pay. It is definitely worth the small costs though.

No, I'm not talking about the free weekend when Notch killed his servers. I'm talking about the multiplayer-only version.

Edit: No, nevermind. The Multiplayer-only version is an in-browser version that connects to public servers. :/

Yeah. I wanted to keep it private mainly to keep out griefers and so we could all work together knowing each other.

I am also planning on making some diablo skins so we can all look like our favorite diablo characters.

Alright so a couple things you need to know about multiplayer:

1. There are NO monsters. I'll repeat, there are NO monsters.

2. Mining is pretty much useless, since you can automatically get stuff by asking the server for it.

3. This mode will be updated in the Beta, and will have monsters in it as well.

I would recommend buying it now since he'll probably increase the price on it when the game reaches beta.

yeah, it sucks that there are no monsters yet. We are still mining for our mats instead of using the command. Both Junction3 and I will be on around 3pm est if anyone wants to get on.

I don't have the money to buy it, since I'm saving up for a car and I am not willing to spend a penny. But when I buy one, I'll buy this

Why not get a car loan? Besides, 9 Euro (13 USD) isn't gonna break your wallet or anything, is it? Besides, it will cost more if you wait too long, because the price will go up when beta comes out.

my laptop cant really handle the framrates when new areas are rendered, or rather, it can but i cant handle it lol.

so maybe when i upgrade in the near future. im having fun on sp atm.

I actually haven't explored the map too much because there is an extensive cave/mining spot right next to the spawn point. But overall, it seems pretty good. I reset it about 10 times to get this one that I was happy with.

You should get Cartographer and post a map on what the world looks like :thumbsup: Could be really cool once buildings and stuff start to pop up as well.
