Two of my best mates become engineers today after 5 years of study! Congrats to those pooholes!
Is it a 4 year course? Cause I'm also studying Engineering (Civil) and our course is 4 years long...5 years if you had to redo a subject or two of course (dunno the correct english word for this ). Congrats to them!!
The engineering programs at my school are all technically 4 year programs, but if you want a job when you graduate, it is good to get an internship or a coop, which will probably make your degree take 5 years.

Maybe graphic's friend's school is like that.
Well we have to do a mandatory 1 month vacation job before your last year....I actually started mine today, well I was suppose to anyway. The workers was unhappy about certain things so they eventually complied and started working at 13h00 instead of 7h30 after some explanation. But I'm not gonna go into that. I was sent home cause the site manager had to many things on his plate and couldn't "get me started". So tomorrow is actually my real first day!
If I remember correctly, when we do our masters degree, you'll have to be in charge of a project for 6 or 12 months...but I doubt I'm gonna do my masters, to lethargic and my marks might just be high enough to qualify, but that's just it, if you "just" qualify, you'll have to work your arse off.

They are both civil engineers as well :D. Its four years at my uni. One failed a maths unit and also did part time for one semester making it 5 years. The other did a double degree in eng and commerce and overloaded in the first 2 years making it 5 years.
I'm ashamed to admit I laughed my ass off at that, especially the last few seconds.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone, and to all of you who don't celebrate it, be sure sure to enjoy some turkey tomorrow for the hell of it! Besides it a true Barbarian dinner, huge drum stick in one hand and drought of mead in the other.
If I see a spider in my room, I kinda have to kill it or at least run it away. I simply do not have the knowledge to know whether it is dangerous or not. However, I allow them to go about their business as often as possible because I like spiders.

Edit: But I don't want to try it for 60 dollars... When's the price going down?
Oh my..
And that Shitashi thing was pretty hilarious, I'm not sure I get the whole thing since I don't know what "Shitashi" is, but it was funny nonetheless.

(Oh, right, the Chinese)
Today I have to crawl up stairs.
