Had to find a way to work him in though. Hopefully he gets in a post soon. I don't want to put you guys off posting or anything, but I don't want you guys pulling the thread in one direction, while I'm (or Jetrall) is trying to take it in another.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
Even so, you two should try to be more open to what us players post up.
It's basically pushed forwards by the players, and finding ways to build off what they post up would really encourage people to post up quality and creative posts, instead of the usual "I comply with where the story is going."
For example, you could have taken what I had posted, ran with it, and introduced Jetrall as a ranger from the woods hunting Riddians, and happened upon them as we were fighting, or a traitor Riddian soldier, even a woodland hermit defending his home.
Not to say how you're running things is bad, but you need to try to be more open to what we the players post, since the RP is focused on, and pushed forwards by the players.
If you don't get what I mean, basically picture you and Jetrall sitting here pushing a story forwards with nobody to actually take part in it.

I would use what other people write, and often do in RPs that I run, but if I can't use it, which seldom happens, then I don't have much choice. Ignore or delete are kinda the only two options left other than use it.
That is also why I soft deleted your post. It's technically still there, and can actually be "undeleted" if Jetrall wants to. Pretty sure thats possible. problem is my place holder, it will technically be a post from me not him.

Sorry for this last little bit of slowness. I intend to post up my new character and his appearance tonight when I get home from work. Hang-tight everyone.
Btw, the reason my character is not flexible is that we have already determined exactly who he is, what his 'job' is (so to speak), and how he fits into the storyline - of which he is an integral part. As such, his appearance is pretty specific. After that though things should be getting a little more open.
Zhar, I've put your post back in, maybe it can be built off from, if not it will need to be edited so that it can, or it will be deleted. Ignoring it would be kinda the same but less confusing for some people. You can't refer to a post if it's not there.
And yah, Jetrall is back.

I am instituting a new revision to the rules, which is a similar rule to the one I hold in my real life roleplaying games:
You may literally do whatever you want (assuming it is phyisically possible within the game universe and for your character) HOWEVER you will suffer the consequences of your actions. If you run off to fight a Riddian patrol alone, you may not simply slaughter them. I, the "DM" for this game, will determine whether it ends in stalemate or, in the case of a bloody mess, whether it is your entrails that wind up spread all over the ground or if it is theirs.
From now on, if you intend to go up against more than 1:3 odds in combat you will have to wait for my decision on the outcome (assuming your foes are the same level of combateer as you). Basically this means if you go up against three (or less) evenly matched enemies you may choose your own outcome. More than three and it's up to me. Also, if your enemies are significantly more skilled and/or powerful than you it will be up to me.
Sound good, all?
Also, I have made an addition to the story thread where I post as the 'Storyteller', who is not an actual character - just a third party that will be used from time to time to set up exposition and so on, so forth - and my new character, Atrion, who will be replacing Jamis in terms of my main player-character.

Well this is an unexpected turn! Ahh, I can't wait until I'm let in on all of this, it looks like the story is getting better and better. And now we get to see Bramwell! Simply awesome!
On another note, it looks to me like Riddia and Tappas were destroyed by the same unknown force. Noice.

Is there some posts missing in here? Seems like pople are referring to conversations that happened somewhere else, particularily PMs. Just thought it was odd.

Kinda hard to come back if he wants to, if he pulls a Leroy Jenkins and gets himself killed.
