This was his last resort after trying EVERYTHING even a Big Bang Kamehameha as SSJ4 Gogeta. NEITHER of which actually manage to destroy a planet, meanwhile Superman withstands attacks all the time that can destroy planets, even solar systems. The spirit bomb also only harms evil beings. So Goku's strongest attack wouldn't even hurt Superman.

You bring some pretty badass evidence and I must say you have swayed my opinion but please remember that DBZ had some obvious flaws. A planet could be destroyed with a power level of over 9000 if you have a billion by all logic anything that person does should destroy planets even galaxies with no issue. Spirit bomb wouldn't do shit you're right. Instant transmission has its flaw of the finger thing but a shadow flare should take care of that Powering up to do a kamehameha takes like 4 episodes in DBZ because they are obvious content filler issues, in all reality of a fight it wouldn’t take more than a mili second. If we really wanted to get to logistics neither character would harm each other because of their good nature at best you would get a sparring session and in the end even if Goku lost he'd just get stronger and eventually overtake Superman in future sparring sessions.

Playing Diablo since 97. I know nothing and having nothing good to say, I be a troll.
Here's why you wasted your time Dae: Evidence is defined by observable data we can not manipulate.
Superman has had many different writers and many different storylines with abilities to sometimes simply support the plot line. There could be a new one coming out where he becomes god because it suites the story. There are no set rules to how far any of this can be taken. That is why this is a popularity contest, not a contest of actual power.

But if we are to measure this it's only fair to measure strongest incarnation vs strongest incarnation. I'd agree there are probably some incarnations I'm not as familiar with that Goku could kill easily. Smallville Clark Kent for one.
My overall problem with superman winning is the lack of continuity in cannon of lore. There's nothing set in stone with him. While, DBZ is like the bible of the Goku story.

Uhh each and every comic has it's own continuity. Like... Kingdom Come Superman, All-Star Superman, Mainstream Superman which is the one that's still ongoing, the one that was killed by Doomsday and then brought back to life.
It's sort of like how in DB/DBZ/DBGT the characters seemed to get less and less powerful. For example Master Roshi in DB blows up the moon. Later in early DBZ I believe piccolo also blows up the moon to turn Gohan back from Ozaru form. Then everyone progressively either gets weaker or seemingly plateaus and SSJ4 Gogeta and Goku are barely scraping the earth with their most powerful attacks.
I have no clue what you're talking about. Are you suggesting the big bang was like a fire cracker?
Imperiex was going to destroy the universe because he detected imperfections in it.
Yes, yes it is. The Big Bang wasn't an explosion, it was a separation of forces. It really isn't all that impressive to recreate given the right materials.

Freeza is able to destroy a planet in his first form, and Goku defeats him. If Goku is able to defeat a guy who is able to defeat a person (Goten is even able to defeat a guy able to destroy a planet) then Goku would be strong enough to destroy a planet.
Also, if Goku was really out to defeat Superman and kept loosing and dying and being revived with the dragon balls (Assuming Superman understands that the dragon balls are needed to revive innocents and thus doesn't destroy them.)
But yea, at SSJ4, condering we know the powerlevel of Freeza, and the amazing increases in strength from SSJ1 to SSJ4 Goku, it would be foolhearty to say Goku wouldn't at the very least be an even match with Superman.
I would say Soth would win because I like the genre that he is part of better. Fantasy is better than Science Fantasy.
Although, I believe Artemis Entreri would slaughter them both while using his dagger and Charon's Claw. Especially if he teamed up with his once-sole-enemy, now beneficial ally, the drow of ironies, Drizzt Do'Urden.

Even if Entreri is one of the most powerful humans and wields magical items and has decades of experience in fighting, he still could not beat Soth. I mean, first of all Lord Soth is technically undead, and he can just kill a human by using a power word spell like death. Drizzt could possibly ruin Soth's plans and get away with it, but kill him or beat him in a fight, i dont think so. Unless he aqquires the right magical items that could help him at the time.
But Soth Vs Darth Vader is epic because they both really resemble each other and have similar powers.

It...was a joke.
But Goku wins anyway because...because...i like him best.
Somebody asked me what team I was on, I said no team since a good piece of silver can fix them both right up.

And yea, maybe not Freeza, probably Super Buu.
Well, liking him isn't part of it.
I like these debates.

Raistlin Majere VS Gandalf the white?
Isn't there 500 books in that series? I just finished a pirate king one... I think the Orc king was more badass.
