I've occasionally posed as a female on Battle.net.
I always get more assistance whenever I do. What mostly convinces them I'm a girl is that I type all my words out. And apparently guys never do that...or something.
Cecilia? No! Damn you, Internet! I'll hunt you down! Though that the scratch part kinda gave it away but my heart fooled me. -Note: You'd better delete the e-mail I sent you, Cecilia.
Seriously, how can someone fall for that? People should treat everyone like I do. Since we're talking about that, could you send us a few screenshots?
I also type correctly on online games. It's kinda stupid to think people are actually trying to skip a few letters. Which sometimes they end up typing even more.

But I guess I only enjoy it cause I could just switch the illusion on and off.
Haha, that should be the quote of the day.

No one regards you seriously. And they make all these comments: "Are you PMSing or something?" "Meh that's woman's logic that didn't make any sense." "Girls usually quit SC after the first month."
...
That gets on the nerves eventually.
You don't like people to know you as a girl and yet you make sure everyone knows it. Kinda stupid.
It's called being honest. Something you will probably not learn for another five years. And you probably belong to the 98% in my signature, too.
When did I lie? If you're referring to my stupid comments(such as Cecila), then I'm sorry but I think they're funny, if you look at the right angle you'll understand. But I should stop doing that.
And no, I don't. I belong to the population that doesn't drink, smoke nor do drugs. And I'm damn proud of it! So don't say something if you don't even know me, which I also did, sorry.
Hmm. 20? 30? <_> We need an official "Who are you" poll, that asks what gender, age, and other stuff so we can end the repeating of these type of threads. (Even though they are admittedly amusing to an extent.) XP
Yea but you know the girls are scared of being known they're even near a fooruum.. or whatever that is right, do they really care what forums say even if they occasionally played diablo? It's fair to say we're all guys here even you there above
 Ooookay, so you're calling me a man because according to you no girl would be caught dead on a forum?

I'm not a guy.
Scared being near a forum? More like, annoyed. "oooh, you're a girl? You're lying. Girls don't play StarCraft..." (US East Broodwar USA channel)
I've gotten used to having the occasional female around here. I remember I was shocked when I found out Equinox was a female. Though I don't care anymore, because as far as forums go, there really isn't a difference.

It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.
Hahaha - I was wondering how long it would take before one of the "are there any females here" threads reappeared.
Last count I believe we still numbered below 20 - but that was before the onslaught of newcomers.

Guess we can add Artemis to the list now. Kudos on the name. Fits well with Aphrodite.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
Once people know there are females here, then soon endeavour to find exactly how many there are. That list is the ones that I know of, I am sure it is by no means complete.

Last time I checked I was a girl, and as far as I know, I still am, which will make it 14? Would be quite interesting to know excactly how many there were, and how many that were infact girls, not guys pretending to be
I did? Hmm prehaps I am growing forgetful in my old age. Age as in time I have been here. 3 years next febuary. That is a life time for people here.
People don't have to 'know' there are females here though. Females are on the Internet a lot these days, people should expect it, it's a lot different to around 10 years ago.
Listing the names and counting them does seem a bit much.
I don't mean to de-rail the topic or anything though - carry on.
People will ask. Not all, but some will ask. others will know full well there are females here and leave it at that. But those that a curious, I can save them some time and effort by provided a service, or sorts, and listing several of the most prominent females here. There are bound to be several I have forgotten to mention. As evident in the opening line of this post.
Maybe we should make a thread about how many of us males have girlfriends...that might be interesting...ha.
Interesting? or sadly depressing? I would rather not know I think. But to those of you out there with girlfriends, niiice . Prehaps you could convince them to join us here.
Nothing like a man and his woman taking swords to evil!!!!

I welcome you to the forums with out stretched arms. I have often pondered just how much of our total fan base, or prehaps user population is a better term, are in fact female. It is an interesting question.

Heh thanks, sure does. I suppose it would be redundant to say where I got the inspiration
Yes, I dare say it does.
Wuld prove quite interesting to see how many other females turn up using the names of other greek goddesses and heoines and other famous ladies.
Athena, Hera, Vespa, Atalanta, Helen.
Come to think of it, how many have done a similar thing with male characters from greek myths and legends?

Works for me.
I do not mean an unnatural calmness.

Haha. Reminds me of when I was less than 10 years old playing games with guys over twice my age. They would freeeak oouuut.
(My older brothers started me on gaming at a young age. :P)
