Speaking of small games, look at this incredible game made by a very creative person. I mean it's really short but the game is really fun.

Nov 6, 2007Sorry, I have this little problem that if anyone quotes me, I feel abligated to reply to. It’s been near five pages of pointless post. Yes, I do feel like a “good” person. But I guess a “good” person this days is just a moron with a false feeling of what’s right and wrong. Now, stop posting, otherwise I’ll be replying forever.Posted in: General Discussion (non-Diablo)

I always have two types of comment:Quote from "Siaynoq" »Any song? Really? That's something a bad director would say when trying to give a scene in a movie some ambiance. He'd say, "Yeah, let's jut insert a generic rock love ballad here."
Stupid: I think any song would do the trick. Nice song by the way.
Silly: I like how the song blend in with the image, you can actually create a cinematic out of it. The camera starts to move forward and leaning towards the Zealot, until it reach the Zealot’s point of view. But the song lasts to long and what would really make it perfect is some sort of environment background sound.
See? That’s why I always go with the stupid comment, the other one always seems so gay. Although, the first one seems poorly written and really hard to reply to. But that’s the objective of it!
And yes, that was exactly what a bad director would say, thankfully they’re not the ones working with the music. I mean, if a director is bad, the song is the least of his worries!
Nov 5, 2007Posted in: General Discussion (non-Diablo)Quote from "DarknessAngel" »That is purely true based on the fact that we are living in an eviroment where English is adopted as the common languaged. If you were to grow up in a Hispanic enviroment, speaking Spanish for all your lifetime, and then suddenly learn a different language, Spanish would feel right, while others would not.
I'm Brazilian, therefore I speak Portuguese. And I hate it. However, I do love English.
I'd to use the wiki for a few words.Quote from "Equinox" »The reason it becomes an oxymoron is because the adjective "unique" is applied to more than one person, so that means all those people with the same adjective are, theoretically, similar, but the thing is, "unique" is the kind of adjective that does not carry a precise meaning. E.g., how do you find unique? You can't. Therefore, this adjective cannot be paralleled...

That wasn't as good as the first one, but it's alright. Of course at least 7 of those I've never watched. But keep'em coming. I'm sure eventually I'll find something I can relate to. Beacuse StarWars is not my forte.

You still enjoy Diablo and Starcraft and you're a regular user of a Blizzard fan forum, so that should make you a little bit of fan. Nonetheless, what you mean by screwed up Warcraft? The game is great and the story line is stunning and it fits like a charm. What could they’ve possibly screwed up?Quote from "Equinox »I'm [b]definitely[/b'] not a fan of Blizzard ever since they screwed up WarCraft. (talking about WC3, not WoW)
I'm not attacking people for downloading illegal software. I’m just pointing out that is not cool as most people think. Maybe I’m exaggerating a little bit, and studies have show that piracy is actually increasing their sells.Quote from "Equinox" »It is always like that. Which is why I don't bother attacking anybody for dling. This world is not fair, never has been, if you want to look for injustice this is the last area to look, really...
-Bottom line: You’re not cool if you download piracy. You’re either a grounded spoiled kid or a cheap guy/girl, for that matter.
Sorry, I used the wrong word. I meant cool, not proud.Quote from "Equinox" »I'm not proud of anything I just may be doing it.
Well, I’m guessing that Starcraft will cost at the very least $59, so you won’t be having much to spend on. I can safely assume that Crysis and Hellgate are heading to the piracy list. So you might as well start saving for Diablo 3.Quote from "Equinox" »So I have like $100 now so it's SC2 and some other lucky game.

Hmm.. good point. But I was refering to people that download pirate games and then make up their minds.Quote from "Equinox" »Before something is shared something has to be bought, which means all those people who share the stuff, who are the actual pirates, have bought the game.
Quote from Equinox »I bought StarCraft in June. Do you know how many StarCraft versions have I had before? And how long have that game been out? I still bought it tho.
Also, I have pirated Oblivion out of curiosity before I bought it.
You're a rare example of a pirate user. People are not like you, they download, play and then it wont matter if it's a damn good game or a bad one.
Are you going to buy Starcraft 2 or pirate it first? I'm sure you're a fan of Blizzard so I guess you wont be looking for Sc2 on the internet.
Quote from "Equinox" »I really don't know what could be sold in a store that can be pirated. I can't relate to your example.
CDs, DVDs, Softwares and Games. I think you misunderstood what I meant about a store.
Again, you misunderstood the whole example.Quote from "Equinox" »The music I enjoy is at least 10 years old for the most part. I think its authors have come and gone long time ago and if I pay $10 more for it it won't make any difference. In fact, it won't go to the band it will go to the store or the publisher or this or that.
Sure, but it's fading away. At least here, pirate is something commun. I'm only a few that are loyal to a product. If there's a way to get it free, loyalty is nowhere to be found.Quote from "Equinox" »Loyalty to the product. Simple.
I meant, people should shut up about being awesome beacuse they pirate stuff.Quote from "Equinox" »No they don't need to shut up because they are not doing anything bad. It's illegal but that's about it.
Quote from "Equinox" »Proud of what? Good internet connection? It's just a normal way of getting information.
Are you proud of pirate stuff? I mean, you said the only reason you pirate games is beacuse you don't think they deserve your money, untill prove they worth. So it doesn't seem you have problems with money, so pirate is just a trial version? Again if you buy after pirate something, it kinda nullified your action.
Hey!!Quote from "Equinox" »Honor code of a pirate "If you like this game, buy it!" Idiots can be found everywhere. Including among those who oppose piracy.

Nice tool!Quote from "Chaos" »@Silver - [img=http://img110.imageshack.us/img110/6657/computerperformanceum9.th.jpg]
I think I'll be having a hard time running Crysis!
Nov 1, 2007Posted in: General Discussion (non-Diablo)Quote from "Equinox" »I miss your point.
People that download games from the internet are unlikely to buy it. If you actually buy it, well then the whole pirate stuff does not apply to you. People usally say something like, "I'll buy if it's good". But once the game is finished they'll reply; "Great game, too bad I already played so there's no point on buying it now."; See what you did there?
In the other hand, games that you admire and are worth the money spent you'll be one of the first to buy it. Pirate it is not even in your mind. That's why people tend to say that games are not worth buying it, beacuse if they're, then there's no reason whatsoever to pirate it. (Yes, not enough money.. blah blah..)
Quote from "Equinox" »*shruggs* I'm not paying non-Russian sellers that's a principle.
I'm lost on these conversation.
Quote from "Equinox" »No one is earning money in the transactions so there is no selling or buying involved.
Example: You walk in a store and you find what you're looking for, however your friend told you that he downloaded it from the internet last night. And you'll start thinking whether you spend this extra cash (Which you could save up for something else, like something you can't pirate.), or go with your friend and enjoy the same music for nothing. We humans tend to go for the easiest and costless side. Now, what could possible make you choose to buy it? It's not racional. Okay, you might not be earninng money but you're indeed saving it.
You're probably going to deny, and that you would buy the CD, no matter how stupid the choice is. But one thing I'm sure, that you're one of a few.
Yes... how about people that wouldn't even be buying it in the first place.. Well those people are the ones that should pirate but yet should shut up. It's not something to be proud of. And it doesn't make you look good either. I dislike people that think it's so cool and say something like; "LAWLS! I l33t! losers pay for games! LAWLZ!".
Oct 29, 2007Posted in: General Discussion (non-Diablo)
Ha! Most games are not worth buying it, and here is where people fool themselves. I mean I don't think any game is worth more than $50. Therefore, I'm saving myself, and spend with something else. And the games that are worth buying it, you don't even think to get on the internet, unless it's from amazon.com.Quote from "Equinox" »I'm thankful to peole who bought a game and shared it with everybody, allowing me to look at it and think if I should perhaps go buy it or erase it off my hard drive.
Well, it's easier to spend $5 for something then waste five days downloading something at 12kbps.Quote from "Equinox" »People who sell what they have copied are a whole other story. In Russia, they are respected for other reasons. In America, I cannot respect them because that's just plain low.
Everyone that download at least one progam, is actually selling it to yourself.Quote from "Equinox" »Do not confuse copying and sharing with copying and selling.

At least we get the games at the same time
At least you can go to any nearby store and buy it  ...
here in the other hand i have to order with a very high price + a damn $39 shipping and mutiple it by 1.9... now that's unfair!

Ya, something like a new starcraft race and SC2 beta-key.
We're pretty much screw!
Jun 8, 2007Posted in: NewsQuote from "Doppelganger" »Aint gonna happen, look at WoW, it began as Warcraft 3 with lots of rpg and it ended up with 2 games, Warcraft 3 (with much less rpg then planned in the beginning) and WoW (with lots more rpg and mmo then planned in beginning)
They did that (combo) cause they thought Warcraft fans wouldnt be happy with the direction of Warcraft 3 (with lots of rpg) but they still had ambition working further at there rpg Warcraft. (with ofcourse the enormous succes of both different games)
I'm almost certain that they wouldnt announce a MMO based on Diablo universe before announcing the actual succesor to Diablo 2, not a spinoff kinda game (wich WoW kinda is to Warcraft)
(and thats not even saying Blizz needs to keep hold of paying WoW accounts wich wouldnt be jeopardized by a normal Diablo game so Diablo mmo would draw to much costumers away from WoW)
I agree with your point, turning Diablo into a MMO would draw a lot of custormers away from WoW ( Since i'm sure mostly were & are Diablo fans ).
But that being said, i'm sure sooner or later a new Game will problaly draw the WoW players away, even with a new Expansion..
May 23, 2007Posted in: NewsQuote from "AcidReign" »August cover of PC Gamer will feature StarCraft II. An article supposedly featured in the magazine (indicated at the bottom) seems to be called, "What happened to Diablo III?" At least that's what it appears to be. It's blurred.
According to the article, PC Gamer spoke with Blizzard and learned about StarCraft II before anyone else. Might be a joke, but if it isn't, their article on "What happened to Diablo III?" might be a good one to read.
Maybe the article is blurred because Diablo III may be announced before the magazine is published, or at BlizzCon in August - the month the magazine is scheduled to cover.
I thought I'd point it out.
I guess the article is right, it does look like "what happend to

I hope they do a great job with the map-editor tool. (i'm not realy a good RTS player, infact i suck).►Groundbreaking single-player "story-mode" campaign.
►Full map-making and scripting tools to give players incredible freedom in customizing and personalizing their gameplay experience.

May 16, 2007Posted in: NewsQuote from "Gaspa" »
I hope it's diablo3 the same as the rest of you, but don't think that if they announce it this week you'll get it this year. Blizzard has a long history of postponing their releases until everything is polished and shinny. (And then a patch is released a week later fixing hundreds of bugs...)
SO, whatever game it is, it's very unlikely that it's planned for a 2007 release.
and IF it's SC2, I hope it's another RTS, not an FPS.
But an 'announce' is better than 'omg i saw the d3.ico, It means something!'
