I was just watching the gamescom livestream and josh said "patch 2.1 is comming out in a couple of weeks",
since with patch 2.0 josh twitted the same thing and it really was true do you guys think he let it slip or was it a hint to the release date?
With the current state of PTR will it be ready in 2 weeks? thoughts?

Those Who Do Not Know True Pain Cannot Possibly Understand True Peace...
Not everyone means exactly "two" when they say "couple". To me the only thing we can infer from that is that 2.1 is *at least* 2 weeks away. But it might also be 3 or 4 weeks. Anyways, 2-3 weeks sounds reasonable to me; from the latest patches it's obvious that they're not making too many fundamental changes anymore but getting into fine-tuning.
Edit: Still doesn't change the fact that a lot of the stuff they have made is pretty pointless. I mean, sure, extremely competitive players or completionist players will see a reason to do conquests, and players who want that starting over feel will see seasons as a nice new thing, but for anyone who is outside those specific groups, those things just don't offer much. I mean, I would just love to hear their reasoning behind it. When RoS was released, they had so many design philosophies that I could support, and lately I just find it more and more difficult to do that.
I actually feel like they added a lot. The greater rifts, legendary gems, and skill changes are just what I needed to keep it going.

Which is why I mentioned the other things, since they are the things I don't understand. Also, greater rifts couldn't possibly have taken very long to implement, since they are basically the exact same thing as regular rifts, but with a few twists (No drops, scaling tied to grift level, orbs drop from elites). The legendary gems are nice, the upgrade system is ridicoulusly poorly implemented (Yay, more RNG!), and the skill changes were slow and few.
New upgrade system has little to no RNG, but alot of longevity was removed. :\

Those Who Do Not Know True Pain Cannot Possibly Understand True Peace...
of course it is.. i have posted about it several times here (last week of aug, first two weeks of sept)..
blizz are morons and like to time patches and expansions with the beginning of school years and mid terms, making the online population of the game that much smaller when compared to summer when most can dedicate 2-8 + online.
Who cares?? Blizz suck at all, comprehend it finally, they don't care about they users and don't read their thousand ideas. I say my name on the forum, they stop my chat permanently, then delete my threat...If you don't kiss their assess - you're not a good guy and you recieve penalties As i said (the thing that they hate it) they NEVER BE like good old Diablo 2 team (David Brevik,Stieg Hedlund.Erich Schaefer.Chase Clements,Max Schaefer.Eric Sexton).everything in D2 is making with love, nomatter pure balanced or just a little disbalanced items at all.
So think about that things if you want,my advice to you - Delete ALL launcher games,if you're sick blizz fan, just keep diablo 2,starcraft...it's fair enough. I'm waiting for the PoE expansion (will release after 5 days) and start to play again. The game is total free, you may chat directly with developers, they're so kind! Chris (the big boss) is my friend of the start of the beta,we chat many times on mails and he never ask me "why you choose to play d3 instead of PoE" ,That make it a real good person at all,I realize my fail and now I'll start thinking and take a blue pill (matrix decision) and get out of the matrix finally! I don't want anyone to reply me (don't know if i see that topic anymore)..just wanna change your mind to play a awesome truly free game,to recieve free updates for free & you know WHEN that update released! Are you bored enough to heard a "Soon™" ,or to test on some PTR server 2months+ for the future patch, but not all the data included there hah ?
P.s. That's not advert,it's just a true story!I was there,I know it's hard to believe and exit from there, but make it when you already have a chance
looks like someone registered in the wrong site... PoE lovers - its in another direction --->

I don't understand people who hate the game but spend the time to post on a fan site.
Getting back on topic, does anyone know the answer to the following two questions?
1. What is the drop rate of Grift keys?
2. Does the affix for the gems scale? For example, poison gem DOT scales with +poison affix.
In truth the only stuff im waiting for in this patch are the fixes to classes such as the dex->armor change for monks and dh.
Also changes to class sets such as the firebird(got all pieces rdy on my wiz waiting to be used)
The gems aren't that good in my opinion(only 3-4 of them are probably worth using and I will still won't use them most likely) and the GRifts will only make me need to farm less keys(IMO at least) even more with the change to the amount of keys needed to open rifts(if this change was implemented sooner I would have enough keys for 2k rifts but now only got enough for about 150 with this change).
The recent legendary gem/GRift changes have me about as excited for 2.1 as I am for a sharp stick to the eye.
I used to be pretty excited about legendary gems in particular. This most recent PTR build put the kibosh on that with an efficiency previously unknown to Blizzard customers.
why would you grind uber keys. immunity amulets will be BiS unlike hellfire amulet
how they will be BiS exactly? in greater rift you cant swap them and they are insanely hard to find specialy that in seasons you dont have much time to hope you will find this necklaces i think the extra passive for some heroes is just BiS running with 5 passives is awsome
Blue Post : This month
So... Couple weak+ This month = August 19 or 26
Really hoping for the 19th. But doubtful. I guess 26.
Diablo is dead atm. Ive been playing nonstop the last 6 days to get ready for 2.1 and there is no activity. My clan is dead. All the communities im in is dead. General chat is dead, cept the the disease ridden assspammers. And public games hardly got peeps in it

Most people on Reddit believe that the PTR isn't even close to being ready.
For example, Blizzard recently asked the players how they would scale difficulty without simply making massive HP/damage increases. If they were serious about that for Greater Rifts, which most posters had hoped they were, there's no way they could overhaul difficulty scaling in GRifts and still release it "this month." But if they aren't serious about that then we get something that people are NOT excited about: ridiculous HP/damage scaling. Eventually you will reach a GR level where, without an arcane (or lightning) immunity neck you will simply get one-shotted by jailer or thunderstorm. To me, and many others, that sounds pretty fuckin stupid. Getting one-shotted by something you can't avoid doesn't sound fun. It sounds like an asinine "and then we doubled it" gone even more wrong than Jay's Inferno.
Monks are still not exactly in a good place.
There are still numerous sets that need attention. Helltooth, Nat's, and Slayer's come to mind immediately.
The most recent PTR build made legendary gems bad enough that many people won't even use them now. There's tons of backlash about their touted "design philosophy" and how they promised infinitely-upgradable gems and now they are literally hard-capped based on what GRift level you can get to. There have been dozens of suggestions as to how to fix this, but none of them will ever be implemented if they are seriously considering pushing 2.1 live in August.
Guys who cares for "a couple of weeks". PoE: Forsaken Masters gona be launched in three days from now There will be a time to get back to D3 if they improve game No one will call us betreyals if we give shot to PoE for a few weeks while waiting for a new patch.
No one chose PoE over d3. Free to play piece of shit. Just a matter of time before it goes pay to win anyways
