I can't stand all the cheater hacker douchebags on Battle.net.
It's totally ridiculous when you see like a Barbarian with a Paladin aura, bone shield, Assassin's burst of speed, plus like four more things swirling around them. And all they do is walk around to say, "Whoa, look at me! I'm gonna wait outside of town so I can kill you in one hit cause my fist does 10,531 damage."
And you try to reassure these douchy players that they're not endearing anyone to them by acting like a dick. But they're not there to make friends I guess.
Everything I want to change in Diablo II is what I want in Diablo III
What that is however I cannot realy put my finger on. I want tons of optional stuff such as a huge stash, avanced guild features, better gambling etc. But in terms of actual action I do not know, I just wait for Blizzard to make the choices they deem best.

hey, i had a legit guy, well no hacks doing 16k dmg concentrate barb lol
and if i could change anything... id go back to patch 1.09
It's because of two things; WW Barbs and less resistances, right?
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.
to expand on that phrozen, maybe expandable stash? or even a connected stash such as in Guild Wars. advanced guild is a given, since its almost necessary for any online game now, and maybe uniques thrown into the gambling game again.
no matter what comes, im sure that we will love it, for blizzard never fails at disappointing when it comes to PC games. Ghost was a definate stretch, since they wanted to expand to the consoles.

Expandable stash goes in with the non-vital parts. Sidequests to gain more storage space is always a good idea, and shared stash between characters is a great idea.
Advanced guild features aren't really a must. Just look at WoW, all that inlcludes is a tabard and a guild chat. That's it. And it pains me.

I wish there had been more quests that you picked up from actual areas and not just towns. Cause most of your quests came from the towns themselves and it took a bit of the spontaneity out of the game. Like, an example would be the first Diablo when you encounter Gharbad the Weak. I know it's an incredibly short quest, but it was still interesting cause you didn't know at first what to make of it. Then it all ends so anti-climactic but it was funny too cause you just kill him and say, "I'm not impressed." Good times.
Maybe patch 1.12 could do the trick. I would dig it but the chances of that hapening are very _........
But actually that is what makes it so epic and Diablo'isk. Your hero being such a Bad*ss that he just wasted demigod, and states he is not impressed. We all know it was tough, anyone that plays the game on Hardcore knows that the game is tough.
Too many quests and you end up with WoW. Running around collecting books people left 30 feet away.
Playing it with do-overs is what kills the toughness.
Thats one thing I would like to see Diablo 3 keep, "Hardcore." Keeps you humble.

"Pking in Softcore, is like two deaf kids yelling at each other."
heh i jus got all my chars killed off my pkers. i would like to be able to have a game with no hostile available and no hacked/bugged items and make alot more items but all of them are alot harder to get. like if you have every item good on your character you are a waste and have no life. make every elite item as rare as tyreals

DIABLO = DEVIL its not supposed to be a nice game autostats are rediclous lack of pots is not welcome if it aint broke dont fix it! (diablo2)
Ho yeah I forgot one thing. To be able to hire more then one mercenary at a time.
If implemented right, maybe. I hate that mercenaries are "necessary" in D2 yet die so much quicker than you because the computer controls them, and I'd hate to have several idiots trailing behind me.
If they become smart and can survive yet aren't necessary, I could take it.

It's not a matter of surviving, it's a matter of realizing that they should retreat just as I do when they start to get whacked by Death Lords and Burning Souls.
Maybe it's because I play with Requiem of Sorrow, monsters have been beefed up there. Yet that still doesn't remove the fact that they are an essential piece of end-game "equipment".

If you ever meet a hafling and a hungry dragon you dont have to outrun the dragon, you only have to outrun the hafling.
