Hello, drawing its first kills of each boss to guarantee a legendary, is there any other way to achieve guaranteed legendary? Infernal machine as I recall had a proposal like this ...
About infernal machine, offsets make the quest even after u get the ring? or sole purpose is the ring?
1st Kills on act bosses (if you are below lvl 60)
Reset quests (you must have completed every quest to do this) and kill Skelly King (to be moved to Diablo in patch)
Play for a predetermined amount of time (number of hours) without finding a leg.
Only reason is to get the ring (and bragging rights if you can solo it on T6 :p).
With "the ring" I guess you're referring to Leoric's Signet, right? Does it *only* drop from Leoric now? Not really, I guess? I think someone told me they got it from a random mob.
For the life of me I cant imagine why they feel the need to move the SK legendary drop to Diablo - you still have to complete the entire game between SK kills. I made the mistake of resetting, and unless I missed something you spend HOURS finishing the game again. I think for the 1 "freebie"I got 4 more (so far) and I just made it back to Act 4.
Pretty sure he's talking about the hellfire ring since he mentioned infernal machines...in which case the drop rate and even boss mechanics are untouched, same old shit as before, but now the rings roll decently. Dunno where Leoric's ring came into this, but on a sidenote I've gotten the Butcher's Sickle twice in Act 4

Sorry guys, i have to come back haha,
I spoke last night with my friends, and they were interested in that information, anyone know how many hours it takes to effectively drop a legendary if you're unlucky and take too long to drop some? And this time account even if u log out and start a new game? Thxs again
It's playing time - not real world time. Apparently they also have some means of insuring its not just "log in and stand around in town" while you go to work or whatever. I'd say its probably in the neighborhood of a 2 hr max - assuming you're playing. It could be some combo of play time over monsters killed ratio.
I seriously doubt they will ever tell us the exact mechanics behind the "safety net" as there are plenty of people who will immediately go looking for a way to abuse it.

They were kind of specific that the safety net is an *increased* chance of legendaries from 2 hours, scaling up to a guarantee after somewhere around 6 hours of active play.
My advice? Open chests and break objects, as well as killing mobs. I've got a lot of legendaries from objects as well as monsters. Don't spend too much time on it, but bring some splash damage or damaging mobility skills and break some barrels, and take the extra seconds to click on a chest.

... and loot the dead bodies. Quite a few of my legendaries both HC and SC have come from barrels and bodies. It seems it really is worthwhile to click everything now.
Sorry again for giving "up" on the post, but I have one last doubt
Kill diablo and azmodam yesterday for the first time with our characters, however neither Dropout no legendary, it is correct? From what he understood, every first kill major bosses would ensure legendary. And after that was so clicking quest reset and start the game again.

Fundamentally the only thing that changes is that you get the legendary a few hours later.
