So you're upset that people who don't play PC games are going to get a chance to play this game? And you're also mad because for some reason you think this game sucks? Furthermore, You're mad that Blizzard is trying to make some more money?... Well god and here i thought Blizzard was a business seems like they're just some chill dudes making games for free.
Good Company: Releases a PC port of a console game. These guys show respect for the gaming community by breaking down exclusivity barriers and opening up their IPs to a wider market instead of locking purchases into a single platform.
Evil Company: Releases a console port of a PC game. These guys show contempt for the gaming community by dumbing down their product and chasing sales instead of caring about the platform that made them great.
All clear now?
At the risk of undermining my snark with actual considered opinion:
Split-screen multiplayer obviously makes more sense for a couch-based game. The devil is in the (missing) details here... but I fully expect this thing to be online-only, and to have an RMAH... probably hooked in to Sony's online account thingy, the name of which I cbf looking up.
My computer is already beast, but I'm still picking up the PS4 because of all those awesome looking announcemnts =D And defiantly I'll be getting D3 for it as well.
Also the 4 players on one screen gauntlet-legends style sounds amazing =D
can't wait for the console sales figures to just see how it compares to the initial pc sales
They're not directly comparable... hell, I'm not sure they're comparable at all. This is a major PC-exclusive IP making its console debut a year and a half after PC release in a woefully under-represented genre ill-suited to console controllers. TBH, I can't actually figure out why Blizzard is even bothering. I can understand why Blizzcorp wants in on the console gravy-train, but porting an ARPG seems like a seriously ass-backwards way to do it, even if it's the least-bad of the three major IPs they've got going at the moment.
Maybe it's time to speculate on a cross-platform Titan?

So what you're telling me is that Blizzard shouldn't release this game for the PS3 & 4 because, and again tell me if i'm wrong here, they're going to make more money off a game that was already released last year... So If it came out on the PS3 &4 at initial release this would still be bad? Attracting more consumers is a bad thing to do...

So what you're telling me is that Blizzard shouldn't release this game for the PS3 & 4 because....
the PC-Port is shit, and they should worry about that first.
How many Sales are they gonna generate on the PS3/4...after the PC Disaster? http://us.battle.net...23534101?page=1

The PC port is shit to you, I happen to think it's good, just some tweaking and stuff needs to be done but nothing that can't be patched and/ or fixed entirely.
Second, So you're telling me the only people who play or would ever buy Diablo is on the Battle.net forums right now.... You're more ludicrous than i thought. Comeon, have you ever gone into gamestop or a local shop noticed a game read the back cover and decided it looked good enough to buy? Do you honestly think EVERY PS3 gamer has a gaming PC and bought D3? If you do you're dead wrong. they're opening sales to a new market, not re-purchasers although I'm sure many will re purchase, I might if its cheap enough or i see it used I don't mind re-buying but mostly the people that buy it will be purchasing for the first time cause they don't game on PC. So to say its a bad thing is retarded I'm sure it wont have record setting sales like the PC did but it'll sure entertain a market and bring in new comers and that alone is enough reason to make it for the Ps3 and 4.

99% of the time people who like to state that the PC version was a disaster have over 100 hours played.
I have yet to encounter one person who bought the game and played only 10 hours and said the game was dumpster..
I'm just gonna copy/paste, because this news deserves no more (and no less):
I'm surprised. I really am. From looking at the game, I never would've guessed it would come out for consoles.
I also love the slap in the face that is the addition of a dynamic camera and LOCAL CO-OP. Seriously. I love the fact that those are not in the PC version. And the jury's still out on whether it'll have an AH/RMAH at all. Thank you, Blizzard.
But hey, at least we can all rejoice in the fact that time, money and effort was/is being diverted from fixing the game into making this port/version ("But they're two indepenten teams; one has absolutely no effect over the other" - suuuuuuuure).
99% of the time people who like to state that the PC version was a disaster have over 100 hours played.
I have close to 1000 hours, thank you... whats next?
You gonna ask me "When the Game is so bad, why did you play it 1000 Hours?"
And after that you gonna state "1000 hours is pretty good for a $50 Game!"

What was it, 6 months of beta, where everyone with an internet connection could see for themselves or play a preview? What was it, a couple months of continuous sales after release before it reached about 12 millions copies sold?
There was no PC disaster, as the overwhelming majority of players accepted / liked the game, as proven by the CONTINUOUS sales after release. All you're doing is spreading a false narrative, when the truth is it's one of, if not the best selling PC game of all time. I'm *pretty* sure it'l do just fine on consoles.
Either it's an april fools joke or we have to wait for it like the period it took them from first D3 announcement until the release last year.
But in the end you could simply lay in your bed with your controler and while half asleep doing farm runs
Damn Blizzard... damn them for doing the same shit they did in 1998. Clearly they're just an evil corporation, and clearly we've known that from 1998 when they first used this massive moneygrab to fuck all the customers over.
You guys never fail to astound me with your lack of perspective on the history of the series. I believe they call it selective memories.
EDIT
Also, this isn't news. They announced they were exploring the console market with D3 in January of 2012. Stop acting like a bunch of malcontents who have nothing else to do than bitch over everything because, frankly, you're over 12 months late on this one.

And Rock n Roll Racing! What was that all about? You greedy jerks!
Console/PC, I could care less really so long as the game is fun. And Diablo 3 is FUN.

Absolutely. You don't really have an argument for how the game is bad when you plow and put that many hours into one. I don't think anyone will ever put 1000 hours into Aliens Colonial Marines which is basically the argument that your bunch have been making. That D3 has been a big disaster.
They have every right to port their game to other platforms. Thing is they haven't sufficiently improved Diablo 3 to make it worthwhile for console gamers imo.
Diablo 1 was already a true classic.
I'm not sure why a game has to be a "classic" for it to get ported to another platform. I've seen three screenshots of the console version and the only change that I can see is in terms of UI. Does it really look like its pulling huge resources from game development?
I think they could drop the price of the game to ten dollars and people would find a way to complain about it.
