you all can be smartasses but the guy still has a point.
wasn't the server status page initially used to show us if the servers were up or down?
now what, they don't even bother to update it?
He tried logging in, but didn't read the message on the login screen saying it was going down. If you check a status page before logging in, I don't know what to tell you. Oh I know, you want something more to cry about regarding Blizzard.
It has never been updated since I started playing. But to be fair I only started recently. Not sure why the status page isn't auto updated. Perhaps its a security issue but annoying nonetheless.

Im actually quite supportive of this game and of Blizzard. Glad you know me so well. I love this game and love where it is going and don't think I've ever bitched about it here. And I absolutely despise people who have nothing better to do than bitch about it.
Doesn't mean they can't actually use their status update page or just remove it.
They have very often brought up the servers LONG before the scheduled end point, so why not assume maybe this is one of those occasions when seeing the status claims the servers are up.
Anymore brilliant assumptions you want to make internet tough guy?
There is a technical difference between the servers being up and the game being up. So, the status page is probably correct in that the servers are up, but the portal or the game is down for maintenance.
It would be nice to have a game status page and not just a server status.

You don't even know what you are arguing about so I'm done with you and this thread. Recognizing that someone can't read the obvious when it smacks them right in the face on the login screen is a far cry in trying to be an internet tough guy. I must be alone here in when I read the message when I logged in this morning for a few minutes that oh, there must be some f'ing downtime today. Maybe I was deceived by the message, I should check the status page and then hope Blizzard is just deceiving me! Good day.
Jesus, you guys are dicks this morning! OP is right....they created a page for the sake of seeing the server status and now they ---you know what, just forget it.
yeah, the 3 day notice the game was going to be down for approx 8 hours at 3 AM PST today via blue post wasn't enough, the notice on the login screens wasn't enough. They need to update the server status screen as that is the most important way to tell people whats going on with the servers.
To the people trying to be smart: I read the message. However they only give a time estimate. That doesn't mean this is exactly when servers will come up. The server status list should be updated regularly to reflect the actual server status. It's on the Blizzard D3 site, why would it inconsistent?
