Maybe I'll try this sometime if I'm feeling bored and want to do something in a mindless grindy fashion. I was thinking about going back to Dota 2 since the game is already losing its fun factor, but since I just got to Inferno I could give this run a shot.

Some people tell me I'm going to hell. I just let them know that I've already packed my bags!
Yeah but he doesn't really drop good loot. Very rarely is it even level 50 stuff. (In hell difficulty)
Agreed. 12 runs and got 3 yellows but they're all crap. Good for farming for AH fodder and gems though. Every other run there's 1-2 chests and often a Blessing of Fortune totem.
While I was waiting for my work uniform to wash this morning I spent maybe an hour here. He is a simple enough person to kill, sometimes got a whammy of an ability combo but also helps to teach you how to deal with it in a controlled environment.
Filled up my bag twice over with blues and maybe 8-10 rares. Only 1 works for me sadly rest were, meh.
It's actually a nice little area because there are two caves that offer this same opportunity - "Warrior's Rest" and "Crypt of the Ancients" - as well as the "Last Stand of the Ancients" event that also spawns an Elite monster. The best part is that none of these spots really require you to run far, so you can make it a 3-part trip if you want.
A note on farming spots, the more often within a certain time period you farm a boss or area, the worst loot you will get. Blizzard has a system that tracks this sort of thing so farm quick areas like these about 3 times and then try a new place.

Blizzard used to care about releasing Diablo III, then they all took an arrow in the knee...
Before the release at Blizzcon they said they wanted to make sure that players farmed more than one area and would offer incentives to move some where else so i guess the incentive would be the diminishing returns on the loot and availability of certain areas. they where concerned about the pindle and meph bots running over and over farming one area and doing nothing else. Also stated was they wanted players to experience more of the game hence the reason of the nerf on farming one area. Yeah it it a game about farming till you get that one item or what ever it is you are farming for. And i do know that after a few hours the drops do seem to become worse and worse just means that one needs to find 2 maybe 3 spots that they can rotate to farm and not get the diminishing returns on the loots.

Very good place to farm for better gear to progress throughout the game or to sell on the Auction House.
