Ahem, let me start over. Before the the release push-back to early 2012 announcement made yesterday, there was a collective idea that they were going to announce the real release date at Blizzcon this October.
After the push-back, does this seem less likely? If Blizzard is unable to announce a set release date at Blizzcon, what else will they be able to announce at Blizzcon? A few things come to mind:
-Runestone system
-Alternate PvP modes
-Easter Egg content(?)
And of course, the beta key giveaways, which will probably be something like this...
Just to try to keep people happy they may announce a limited period of open beta near the end of 2011 or early 2012.
Anything else....I don't think people would care that much about runes revamping or what else...we know about runes, we know about resources, we know about anything else.
What we don't know is when we will be able to put our hands on the game.

Sir, you win the day and the night with these pics.
I dont see anything big for Diablo coming out of this. They will talk about bunch of little stuff, their revisions etc... Will be WOW and SC2 expansion . I also hope to god they do not announce any new games that are 4-5 years out from release. Blizzard needs to stop doing that. When it is about ready for beta then announce something.

Agree mostly with what you say here. WOW Expansion & SC: Heart of the Swarm will be shown. One or both may get a "soft" release date. For instance, Wow Exp. Early Q2 12' and SC:HotS Late Q3 12'
Since a month will have passed, hopefully more people get in and more bugs fixed. We'll more than not get a "Hard" release date for Diablo with some more info on PvP side and most likely more information on things we can't do in Beta currently.
We'll have to wait till next year's Blizcon minimum for Titan news. Telling us something now, I think, would be over doing it as far as games and would get lost in all the other established IP's.
im so dissapointed in blizzard atm. I really dont care about this game anymore.
How can u make a game and not set a release date?
Thats like admitting ur fuck ups and better to say anything becuz u already know its not gonna happen anyway...
im so sick of blizzard saying...soon ....soon ...soon
SOON IS NOT 3 MONTHS. Soon is like 1-2 weeks. 1 month tops
but blizzard is imo kina just taking ppl by the hand while they are blind. and letting them believe its raining. while their pissing on our heads
Not poking fun at all. BUT this is Blizzard. This is the way they have come to operate (quality vs sell, sell , sell!). This should not have been a surprise, but is still hard to take. All I can say is take solace in the fact it's Blizzard "soon" and not Valve "soon" which really means, "Game what game?" * five years later " OH - That game....Soon"
Blizzard is one of the FEW companys still out there that actually care about the quality they put out...Look at half the MMO's that come out these days.
LMFAO +1 for the pic, that dude in the 4th pic has an epic face!!!! OMF can't stop laughing. That's prolly a big reason why people go to watch Oprah live, to get a massive amount of shit for free
Nah, I don't think they're gonna announce something about D3, but rather give us an update of the current status of the stuff they have been working on (DH recourse, rune-system if it changes ect). I really hope they do announce something worth announcing...
Also think they'll have some sort of announcement about SC HotS. As long as they give us some sort of update on their progress I'll be happy.

They could announce the release date at Blizzcon. Doesn't sound too unreasonable and it would suffice as huge news regarding our game. I think everyone would be satisfied. It will probably be around Feb 16th 2012. Not too bad. <_< I'm fine with the pushback unless it gets ridiculous and spills into May or something, that would be a bit excessive. And I just hope they haven't pushed it back to develop the damn thing for consoles, that wouldn't be fair imo.

There's two different occurrences to base the release date speculation off of:
1. Diablo 2 was originally slated for Dec. 1999, but was pushed back to July 2000
and..
2. Burning Crusade was pushed back from 2006 to "Early 2007", and was released January 16th 2007.
So it could go either way... the only thing is Burning Crusade was just an expansion pack and not an entire game, so it might take D3 longer.

But otherwise Mists of Pandaria, the SC2 marketplace, SC2 DotA, SC2: exp1.
Ha. Bagstone.
