I'm not sure anyone has asked any of the Blizzard people about teleport, but I feel it is an issue that needs to be addressed. In Diablo 2 it was by far the most powerful skill in the game. It was so powerful that they had to make Enigma so that the other classes could have it. It made skipping a majority of the game possible and fighting just one monster in order to get high end loot drops possible.
I have since seen that they have included teleport into Diablo 3.
Does anyone know if it will be made so that you cannot just skip through entire areas and kill the end boss, making the Wizard overpowered when it comes to finding items?
I think it is a great skill when it is used for protection. When a caster with low armor is surrounded it is awesome to teleport yourself away. I do not think it is a good skill to have in the game if you are going to skip over a large amount of the games content every time that you play just so you can continuously kill the same boss.
There's a short cooldown and you can't teleport through walls or closed doors, so I'm pretty confident it won't be overpowered, just one way of getting out of a dangerous situation or depending on the rune you use an offensive spell perhaps.
Excellent.
I have been trying to find information on this for a long time and I'm extremely happy to hear that they have addressed this issue.
I believe that all the classes have a skill, not just teleport, to use for getting past obstacles such as a fallen bridge. There was something about this getting past obstacles in the game play video.

I'm not sure they removed it but i know they did say something about manouvering because it was a huge question cause at the time of the gameplay trailer wehn teh barb leaps over that broken bridge people wondered how the wd would get over and later the monk ? they adressed it saying that all would have some sort of movement skill that will allow them to clear obstacles. Ariandus might be right though i hsave no idea if they removed this.

Isn't the bigger issue that you'd actually have to choose to spend points on the teleport skill to get it? You can't make obstacles solvable only by an optional skill.
heh, any ideas of how the other characters could tele? im thinking WD might throw down a smoke ball down and magically move
heh and regarding the first post, how many years after release was enigma released? i dont think we have to worry about such things getting too out of control in diablo 3 till many years when give others skills is the only way to attempt to "balance" the game
Get real, folks, the diablo you all knew is dead, a few years ago i said right here in this forum that D3 had a pretty good chance of being blizzard first bust (i was flamed to death ofc), and what you know, its not even beta and its already looking that way.
If the skill was cool and very nice and easy to use, I would have fun joining a random game and just darting around like a complete idiot, just to piss people off.

I thought they will be implemented but its like a shortcut. Go over the broken bridge w/ movement skill or clib down the ladder fight ten zombies climb up the other side...

Wizard has Teleport, Barbarian has Leap, and Witch Doctor has Spirit Walk.
