Well, recently I hinted this would be my last work on Diablofans. I thought it would happen after BlizzCon, but I just found out a few minutes ago my leave should be immediate as of Monday. Prior to BlizzCon.
I will be in contact with Thasador and Silversurfnstud to take care of delivering your questions to the developers, and to organize the remaining ones to be asked at the Q&A panels. So that my farewell doesn't affect what has been already put in motion. I don't leave necessarily in bad terms with Mockery or with this community.
In fact, it saddens me to leave. I have grown attached to this community. I have read a lot of threads and besides the isolated disturbances and wishes to strangle LinkX and a few others (joke), I enjoyed this community. Heck, I wish I could still stay and continue with my new venture. But it isn't possible.
When I was at the Blizzard Worldwide Invitationals in Paris, I met two folks who offered me a job opportunity. For respect to the admins here I won't mention the names/network.
As some of you know, I have been unemployed for a while. This job opportunity will help me a lot. I will continue doing what I have loved doing the past seven years reporting news about Blizzard games, interviews, and content.
Since it is a different network that places my stay here in conflict with both networks' interests. Personally, I wish I could work in both. I start work as soon as this Monday -- which caught me off-guard.
Mockery understands my position, and released me in good terms. If I ever leave the new venture, Mockery said I would be welcomed back.
As everyone knows, Wall Street got hit hard lately and things will get pretty bad in the economy. Being unemployed worsens that a few notches. So my decision to grab this job opportunity is a necessity. Home is always priority. Hope everyone understands.
I may continue visiting as another fan from time to time. Some people will think there is something amiss I am not commenting. I would be lying if I said there isn't, but nothing to do with Mockery. In fact, I leave in good terms with him. He's been kind when talking over messenger. But some stuff don't correspond me. Announcements will be made when the time is right and by whom should make them.
Hope Diablo 3 turns out to be the best RPG experience for everyone since Diablo II/LOD. Thanks everyone. I appreciate this community.
Thanks, Krow. I am already missing Diablofans. I really wish to stay, but the new paid job enters into conflict as it is also a Blizzard games site. This job offer was around since WWI. I had declined the job offer around August, but now it's definite. Can't reject it a second time when it is there in the open for the taking.
I just fired 21 rounds in the air because of this thread.
Seriously though, regardless of the fact that I know you as much as I know John Doe, take good care. You were about the taking a job bit, since it's a shit condition for anyone without one in America. Best of luck man.
Even though we never talked, MD, I will still miss you and your updates regularily. Diablofans will most certainly not be the same without you around, mate - and we'll all hope for the best of your future. Kudos on the job prospect though, man, and good luck with life!

Well, I can say that I am going to miss your news articles. The first one I remember from you was, I think, a ladder reset or a patch- my memory is a bit fuzzy. You've provided us with a steady stream of wonderful information for a good amount of time and were a wonderful addition to the site. See you around
Wait what? Owning a website is not a job. Even if you work like me, I can still go a website in my free time and talk around (post or even update). Like myspace for example.... so just becuase you have a job now, how would it stop you from owning this site etc? (with the help of mods like mockory of course)
He doesn't own this site, he kidn of works for Mockery/Umaro and gives updates and reports on Blizzard. But now he ahs a paying job for another fansite for blizzard. And because it competes with this site, he can't really help out here anymore.

You have a sexy sig ;;)
Anyway, drop by whenever you can man..we appreciate the updates.
We're definitely going to miss Medievaldragon... he's been a big part of this web site over the years and I please join me in wishing him well. It's unfortunate that money comes before preference, but as he stated, these aren't the greatest of times in the economy and he has a family that needs to be taken care of. He also wants to take classes so he can pursue some other career goals. Unfortunately, we aren't in the position to pay that kind of freelancing salary yet, so please don't think badly of him in any way. He's done a lot for this community and nobody should ever forget that.
Thanks again Medievaldragon... and yes, you'll always be welcome around here.
As for DiabloFans, while the site won't be the same without him, you can count on this still being the source for all your Diablo related news. We've got a fantastic community and it's only going to continue to grow over the years as we draw closer to the release of Diablo 3 and any other Diablo games that come our way.

Something wrong with him? I'm not trying to say MD is replacable! Not at all. I was just meaning that despite we lose MD's daily updates, we still have a large enough fan base for others to check up on blizzard and the interviews going on regarding DIII and updating us.

Yep, and if anybody ever has news that we haven't posted yet, they're always welcome to send it to me in a PM and if I think it's worth mentioning, I'll gladly post it on the homepage. This has always been a community driven site, so we're all in this together to share our latest Diablo findings with each other... so don't be shy if you've got some cool news you think everybody should know about.

Good luck and good bye.
It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.
It would be foolish.

Yeah I think this place is screwed in all honesty.

But you're right, we are doomed. T_T

A lot of the time.
And they don't really have news there, but the articles can be damn funny.
