Right, attacking me with the old ad hominem argument, way to go, chap! Firstly, it was a typo, secondly, learn to read. I'll repeat myself just for you: you were clearly setting people up to denounce their claims in a desperate attempt at humour. Should I say it again, or are you going to read it this time?
I'll provide an adequate counter-argument to whatever drivel you put forth as soon as you re-read my post and provide a relevant argument.
I thought as much.
You've hurt no-one's feelings buddy, that I can assure you. Do you think you're the "cool, cold, tough guy of the Internet" because you act like a dick? Because that's the way you come off, and I'm pretty sure 90% of the people that read your posts are laughing at you, not with you. Either way, I've also reported you.
Yeah I'm a big advocate for leaving the colour in, but he's being a bit of a dick and i don't know if him arguing on my side is in it's best interests, plus his arguments are weak if your just going to port through then it could be dark and gloomy and I shouldn't care about that colours yet i continue to
It is very clear to see where their artstyle for diablo3 has been derived from. Its not bad, but i believe it does indeed need work for it to really be ture to the series. I hope they do fix it.
Ok Dragonov...Use that same pic you have now of D3 with the abomination and put it side by side with the abomination from WoW. They are similar.
And in case you can't see the similarity in your own post...I'll help you.
The texture of the WoW skin is the same as the zombies in the D3 s/s. They are smooth, pale, and bright. It's as if they took the WoW zombie, shrunk it, and stuck it in D3...in fact...I'm sure that's exactly what they did.
LOl don't care I'm just sharing my opinion and using some visuals to represent it, you have you're opinion and I have mine I'll play the game regardless. I just don't want to wait the extra time it takes to fix the "problems"
I think this color scheme is great and doesnt COME CLOSE to that of wow, not at all, im pretty sure the people who voted it needs to be more dark and grey are a little to dark and grey their selves and have to lighten up. and realize what it would actually look like if it were back in those times. diablo3 isnt some chalked up comic book that has way to much black splashed around the page to emphasize evil. if you dont like the colour scheme when the game comes out, you gothic kids get together and make yourself a mod so the game is black, cause if i rember, Lut gholien wasnt very black and grey in diablo 2, now hush up and let blizzard create their game, they havent failed us yet. have more faith get rid of some of that black blocking your brain from thinking realisticly.
Lut gholien ..
Ure right maybe. But lut gholien's textures was more and more sharpen, is not it? This game is not sharp textured and designed.
People say "it must be more dark" , but maybe they mean "more sharp! When i play , it has to make me more angry!"
Ok the graphics themselves are great, but as an oldschool player I didnt like the lighting. It needs to be darker! That is what gave diablo its feel, it seemed to bright and colorful for diablo. Also, make the items like when they are in your inventory where you can see them, amke them so they look like the same thing when you actually put it on. In other words, if the picture of the helmet in the inventory is just a round helmet dont make it have spikes on your character when you put it on. It did look like Warcraft, which isnt bad because I definitely saw the diablo influence, and it did look like diablo, but darker would make it perfect. Also, Light Radius is essential, dont make it so you can see 10 miles ahead of yourself, bring back some of the basics to keep its feel.
As I've stated before, It doesn't need to be dramatically changed, just a tiny bit more darkened for the outside level(s). I still love the graphics now, but would prefer the brightness and contrast tuned down a bit.

I love how the game looks as it is. I have clocked countless hours and diablo and diablo 2, and have loved every minute of it, and never look back on it as time wasted. I trust blizzard completely on however they make diablo 3. All of their games are great because the designers stuck to their original visions of them (starcraft, warcraft, diablo, and wow). Please do not try and tell Blizzard how to make their games. BtW I love how some people doing the Wow/Diablo comparison images are picking light armour for Wow pics and Dark plate mail for the Diablo char pics....try putting up fair comparison pics not biasing towards any 1 game.
I voted great job! But I guess at least the gameplay trailer version is a bit too smooth. Textures could be a bit sharper imo. Otherwise the style is great and the colors are ok aswell.

I have two points -- one on the artwork, one on the play
The artwork, from what I've seen in both the gameplay trailer and the design panels, looks extremely appropriate givven the past games. There are places where it looked a bit dark, but I don't know whether that is my monitor. I don't know whether this makes sense or not, but in WoW, there are places that the artwork and the scenery have a tendency to overpower the gameplay, in my opinion.
I don't know whether this team handles my second point, but another concern is that the depth of play stay true to Diablo and not have the temptation to dumb-down the experience, the journey, like Blizzard has done with World of Warcraft. I want a challenge, and that challenge still draws me into multi-hour sessions of Diablo II on a regular basis. The artwork in D-II is just enough so that it adds to my experience, and I really don't mind that it's nearly a decade old.
Everyone needs to calm down, the game is not coming out for a while, Blizzard has plenty of time to pollish everything and render everything correctly. I am willing to wait as long as I have to for a fully completed game with no cut corners.
