i think it will once again be the 99 max limit on the leval. Or possibly maybe 100 but from 99 to 100 takes a certain items(very hard to find/rare) to get u that last power leval. Upon finding all the items having the requried experiance there should still be a chance of the conversion to 100 failing and loss of all required items
Upon finally hitting 100 u should be granted 1 more skill point and unlocked skill tree becomes available. It has no prerequist and have say 10 diff skills in it which all can only have a max of 1 skill point in them. Theses could be ultimate skills and have major cool down times but pretty much kick some ass
I go for level 100 max cap. 99 seems weird to me. Wow maxes out at 60 and guild wars maxes out at 20. So I think that 100 will seem right...especially since it is very difficult to reach <---Fun. (Without rushes)

so d3 max will be 150. but it will probalby be around 100.

sounds good to me. got to be some reason for maxing out your char's level.

if its so boring to take the levels as it was in Diablo 2 then i'd prefer around 60-70. With usefull talent lines and spells ofc. I dont really believe that levelling will be the exact same way as in Diablo 2 tho.
if the game is only fairly long and you finish just about everthing in the game around lvl 70, i dont want to have to sit there for hours doing mass runs to get max my char out at 100, id rather you max out at 70 or maybe 80.
but if the game is longer and you finish at around say 90, then yeh sure maxing out at 100 is ok.

i think 100 just would look kick ass with its 3 digits 100 would look goldly ... ive seen a few 99's an di was just like wow thats cool but 100 now hahah how kick ass would that look ;-)

SICK...SILVER Inferno Crusading Knights ... Coming to Diablo 3 Realm Near You!
over 100 is getting a bit excessive... but under 80 is a little low... i didnt like gw for the reason of max lvl being 20 and not hard to get to...
i'm playing eq2 right now and even 70 seems a bit short... leaves ya wanting more... now that they added a second line of alternate experience though I'm fine... (aa is like a seperate set of skills that actually enhance your other skills)
I really think the level depends on the skill set up though... if its like diablo 2 then 99 is necessary but if its different then it may not be
I personally think it will be a max lvl of 99 but I would enjoy it if the levels grew well over 150. They should keep the levelling up rate the same as d2 (meaning it is still hard to get to 99) but they should let you keep going up to like 350.
I mean, what is the point of having 'skill on lvl up' if you have to dump it after lv 99. If they had it upto lvl 350 then they could have something like:
Cast lvl 349 Hurricane on lvl up (Based on character lvl)
So after you actually get all that experience and doing all that hard work, you get to unleash this massive wave of death upon every creature in the game for like 10 minutes! Or they could have:
Cast lvl 350 Poison Nova on death (Based on character lvl)
That would be so wicked!
Plus it would give you a chance to max or your skills. it just means you would have to put alot more time into your characters. Plus it means there is a reward for using you characters no matter what level they are, because the chance of you maxing your level is nearly none.
you max out around 99 because your skills stop at 20, 5x20 is 100. fairly hard to max out 5 skills. even with quest rewards and items. seeing as your have to get all the prerequisites too.
if skills max out higher like say at 30 instead of 20, then you should max out at a higher lvl.

yea i said 151+ for basically the same reason. Its not like alot of people are going to b even lvl 100 but if they did it and did it all legit that would b very kool to see some like lvl 100 or even lvl 200.
i doubt you would get much higher than 150, unless the game is massive in scope and length, there would have to be a lot of content to raise you EXP.
considering the lengths you have to go to raise your lvl from 98 to 99, i think people will see going from 149 to 150 as almost impossible, let alone 199 to 200. but if there is significant content to help you then it will much easier.
but there has to be a good reason for maxing out well above 100 or even 150. i dont want to do it just because i can. i want more of a reason that that. prehaps some exceptionally hard quests somewhat on par with the ubers, but it restricted to say lvl 100+ due to its difficulty or something.

That is true that it would be hard to actually increase you level beyond 100 but if they were to allow you to increase your level beyond 150 then it would almost force Blizzard to create more content for the game.
A level activated quest would be a good thing to entice you to level up but I can garantee even in LOD that if they allowed you to increase your level to over 150 then there would be people doing so. Just so they could be on the top of the ladder.
Plus everyone would want to have the chance to create the ultimate character and max out all the skills they want, so why not give them the chance? I reckon a lvl 300 sorceress could easily defeat a lvl 99 barbarian or paladin just using melee damage. Imagine the potential if they were to max every skill in every element!
i was just thinking what possible reason, other than because you can, would there be for maxing out your char, then it hit me, extra content.

game content and length. a short game you shouldnt max out at 100 if the best you can do in your initial run thru is 80. you might as well max out at 80 if thats the case. but a longer game with more content, sure a higher max level is all good.

exactly my point. if you have reason to do so you will

i dont own WOW, and probably never will, so i dont know.
with the expansion, the max level is 70, and im guessing the second expansion will push it up another 10, so then the max will be 80, which i think is much better.

not sure how truthful it is, this is from wiki but;
New dungeons will have two difficulty levels: Normal and Heroic. Once a player reaches level 70, they may choose to run a lower-level instance at the Heroic difficulty. While the harder difficulty will present a much greater challenge to the group, it will also yield better rewards. Blizzard is considering adding this feature to currently existing dungeons but has no plans to implement them yet.
it says level 70.

If a great game with such good replay value has a high maximum level, why is it that World of Warcraft only has a maximum level of 60?
