They said maintenance was until 1:30 Pacific... in case you guys don't know timezones.... and didn't realize...
Thats RIGHT NOW.
Maintenance ending at exactly the hour posted almost never happens in any Blizzard game. Its almost always before or after by at least 5-10 mins, and commonly has a larger time difference.

I'm not sure why people continually expect launches to go perfectly. There's no way they can truly stress test the hardware, even with an open beta weekend. I saw a maximum of around 400k people online during peak hours while playing the beta, and we were probably looking at over a MILLION just in the US, not to mention Latin America, South America, and any other locations that are part of the NA region. Probably at least double to triple that number total. I personally didn't even request the day off, ended up getting hours cut because my tech bench wasn't selling enough, and my manager had to cut hours. So personally? I'm still laughing. Launch days will NOT be perfect, and a day or two of waiting won't kill someone, even though we've been waiting for over 10 years.
LOL. Nearly 5 hours of down time. This is unbelievable. Is EU having these same issues? Surely it must just be a way to get Athene world first 60~
I cried when I saw this. And thought, "Gee, you can take them offline REALLY easily. They're already down!"
And Athene won't get world first 60. Someone in Asia probably will, as well as the world first Inferno Diablo kill.
