Diablo Killer Build: http://us.battle.net...XdVj!eYX!ccZbab

The item set used to kill Diablo was purchased via Gold Auction House for less than 660,000 gold which is easily attainable by the end of Hell if not sooner.

The basic idea behind this build is High Critical % Chance and + Maximum Discipline. Using a 1 handed crossbow, a cloak, and a quiver you are able to add on a maximum of +30 Discipline (+10 each). Using this high discipline reserve you are able to easily survive the Diablo encounter with little to no damage done to you. The item build should be based on the item stats below which are listed in order of importance. These stats reflect the ideal stats desired on a very cheap item pricing under 150,000 gold for the most expensive items (weapon and amulet). Some of these items may even go for 10,000 gold or less. Feel free to go for higher stats if money is less of an issue.

Items:

Weapon: 750+ base DPS with greater than or equal to +8 max discipline and as a secondary stat either 1 socket with a green gem inside (Critical Hit Damage), or a base Critical Hit Damage of at least 50%.

Quiver:  +14% Increased Attack Speed with at least 7% Critical Hit Chance including greater than or equal to +8 maximum Discipline.

Amulet: At least +100 Dexterity with at least +6% Critical Hit Chance

Two Rings: +100 Dexterity with at least +2% Critical Hit Chance

Gloves: +180 Dexterity with at least +9% Critical Hit Chance

Boots: 12% movement speed with at least +150 Dexterity

Chest: Greater or equal to +8 Maximum Discipline with at least 70 Base Dexterity and 3 sockets full of
green gems or a total Dexterity of at least +180

Helm:  +3% Critical Hit Chance with at least +100 Dexterity

Bracers: +3% Critical Hit Chance with at least +100 Dexterity

Pants: +100 base dexterity with 2 sockets full of green gems or a total dexterity of at least +170

Shoulders: At least +120 Dexterity

Belt: At least +120 Dexterity

Tactics:

Step 1: Rain of Vengeance to stun Diablo at the start, which will give you time to mark him giving you bonus damage. Each time rain of vengeance is up, use it and re-mark Diablo.

Step 2: Kite Diablo around the soul Shard pillars (white shard looking rocks protruding from the holes in the middle of the map) while orb-walking (using your movement and attack speed correctly; Attacking, then moving while attack speed is cooling down, then attacking when attack is available)

Step 3: DO NOT touch the edges of the map or the edges of the shard areas. Stick to open areas and kite around the shards. If Diablo does teleport on you, you have inadvertently touched an edge of either the map or shard areas but don’t fret, just use Smoke Screen and Vault away to safety.

Step 4: During Phase 2, use Smoke Screen .5 seconds before the shadow clone appears (right after Diablo vanishes) and instantly cast Rain of Vengeance on the Clone which will stun it. Immediately afterwards, mark the clone which will improve visibility of its movements and increase damage done to the target. Vault away to safety before the clone is out of the stun duration. Shoot towards the clone while orb-walking away from it, not allowing the target to get into shooting range. Again DO NOT touch edges of the Map or the edges of the chasms otherwise Diablo will teleport to you and kill you. Save your last Rain of Vengeance for when Diablo is at around 15-20% hp so you can phase him safely.

Step 5: For Phase 3 be sure to stay max distance from Diablo (at least 1 screen's distance). Be sure to watch your feet for cages that will be popping up periodically. Also be watching the sky as Stars/Shards will be falling from the sky and will 1 shot you. Continue to kite and orb-walk around the soul shard areas. Stun with Rain of Vengeance every time it is up and put up Mark of Death for more damage. In the end be sure to stay focused as nevers may get the best of you and a cage or star may cause you to die suddenly with short warning.

Yeah it's probably an expensive crossbow and quiver, but anything less 'would not make it more difficult, it would only take longer."

Just like jogging down the street isn't more difficult than jogging a marathon, right?

This is almost exactly the strat I used to kill Diablo on Hell difficulty the first time.

It kind of doesn't matter whether you're fighting a boss in Nightmare, Hell or Inferno on a Demon Hunter (if you're wearing junk gear like I was anyway) because any of their attacks will 1-shot you regardless... so once you master dodging every single attack in the lower difficulties you already know how to beat the fight in higher ones :P

kinda what I was thinking.. OP, is this build good enough to get you TO Diablo.. its no use showing a guide on how to kill the guy if you cant get to him in the first place.. elite's and champs are way more difficult than Diablo.......... another tut plz :)

Even though I don't like people doing hater comments to -at least- very understandable guides, this guide is really the biggest nominee of the most useless guide ever.

Can't really kill things up until diablo with 660k worth of gear (or at least with that talent) and can't really get to diablo if you don't clear previous parts. So as Catalept said:
Step 1: Buy XXm worth of gear
Step 2: Get to Diablo
Step 3: Buy 660k worth of gear
Step 4: Kill Diablo

Sounds right and silly to me. (And the number choice of 660.. )

The only thing hard to kill is Ghom. Everything else is a piece of cake if you have the skill to perform the strategy presented in the video. And that ain't easy either.

You'll need a 2h xbow with chd (and/or socket) for around 100-200k more, and just swap in Elemental Arrow - Ball Lightning instead of Rain of Vengeance, and you might want to use Caltrops on Fast elites and Shadow Power on Reflect Damage elites.

That should get you to Diablo without spending 50 m ^.^ Even do some farming in Act 3 tbh. I'll emphasize: if you have the skill. Demon Hunter is about active defenses, move away from shit, stand out of shit, and not letting anything melee you. That's totally doable, and even if oh shit happens you have SS. You don't need defensive stats if you can use the tools provided to you. You will die sometimes. But who cares? You got to kill Diablo!

For all the people saying you need XXmil to get to Diablo, I suggest you take a look at this post: http://www.diablofan...with-100k-gold/

With a DH you need either two things to be able to completelly beat the game: Loads of cash to be able to equip it so it can handle all the bosses/elites/champs without problems or skill in handling the DH and avoiding all or most of the attacks. Remember that if you can dodge/avoid an attack, you don't need to have fat HP/res/armor. A decent amount of HP/res/armor and good skill can get you to diablo with a cheap budget (most of the time below 2 mil).

Thanks loads for this post RG ! I was stuck on the clones and kiting Diablo in phase2.
I killed Diablo today by following your tactics.
I swapped the Marked for Death for Shadow Power Gloom to be able to face the clone at the spawn spot.
