In his video, he's bitching so many times about "items that are much cheaper on EU than on US". I wonder if he was just lucky by finding those items? I tried to build a similar set like the one he did and especially all the Zuni items are at least two times as expensive as in his video. I put in the same numbers and the prices were just twice as high, some even more. As for the ring, there was only one matching his stats, for 10 times more buyout (39m). Was he just lucky, or is it that everyone watched his guide and thus people realize "oh these items are worth something" and therefore prices increased? That would make basically every publicly released guide unusable. He also doesn't offer too many alternatives, like rare belt or black weapon, just to avoid running into this problem that you *need* Chanto set, 3 piece Zuni, and so on (which is not the case).
I liked his previous guides and linked them in my gear guide, but this one is in my opinion not too helpful because it falls short on several aspects: too limited choice of alternative gear, too much "luck" involved in sniping the items, a budget that's not really a budget build anymore, and a lot of assumptions that bring people into trouble who just think that within half an hour and with 50m they can build a perfect CM wizard. He has a lot of experience and is able to compute so much stuff in his head, if people do the same in less than an hour I bet many will end up with a flawed set in the end (just falling short on some important EHP stats for example).

As a solution, I take Jaetch's hybrid build that he initially created for MP10, but I found that it works quite well across almost all MP and gear levels. Whenever Archon drops, I usually only need one group to get Archon back. Of course, it's just one of maaaaany ways you can use to waste your time during Archon cooldown; some use WW or Spectral Blades, for example. I sometimes use Arcane Orbs, which are really fun but drain a lot of arcane power; others like Hydra, Meteor or similar stuff.
Edit: actually, in act 2 what you can do is to run the Vault of the Assassin - there are usually 7-11 elite packs! Just make sure that you have the checkpoint and log out without going any further. The other nice area in act 2 are Zoltun Kulle's archives, but if you go there after the Vault you'll lose the checkpoint (and searching for the Vault in the Desolate Sands is a pain in the ass). You can add the oasis to get a chance for a key drop, though. I use teleport+wormhole+CM to skim the oasis; it's tough (though not impossible) to keep Archon up there, plus I find the mobs very annoying. Anyways, this is definitely not extremely rewarding in terms of XP/loot, because on average you get 10 elite packs which means only half of the time you get the full NV5 bonus.

Oh, really? Didn't know that, sorry. It was just... well... the connotation when you read wix.com... in German, it translates to something like "fap.com" and you can imagine what one would expect on such a website ;-)
Edit: I second deletion (or extraction of the offtopic posts, including this one) and sticky.

I guess my nickname is "nobody" then. I always try to get at least 10k health globe bonus, and my purely tank spec'd barb has even 20k. You won't feel any difference with +2k, but at 10k or 20 it IS noticeable.

Not to be nitpicking... but it's 4 seconds for legendaries, afaik. And about the ID process - it's always been part of Diablo. Won't happen.
THIS!

Happened to me both ways, too (got lucky by winning an item on the literally last second, but also got outbid on another item).
What you probably can do (haven't tried): When the auction is below 1 hour, you just watch the time, hit the search button constantly and wait for the minute change (e.g., when it switches from 32 to 31 minutes). Then you do your math and you should know what second exactly the auction ends. It's just a guess - I don't think there's anything else you can do to get closer to winning. Oh, besides putting in a higher bid, of course :-)

Many people just look at DPS when they put weapons into the AH and don't value other stats as much. I once found a wand with socket, LS, crit damage and int - but only 7xx DPS, which was an upgrade to my 9xx DPS sword back then. The stats can compensate a lot for the lost DPS; weapons with 4-digit DPS or brown/green color just have this extra price tag.
So the answer is: no, you will not necessarily gimp yourself, just take a look at the stats. Just load your character into D3up.com and use the D3Bit tool to get a quick check for the resulting DPS for your wizard. It's sometimes difficult to do the quick calculation in your head, especially for weapons. Or you use Loroese's spreadsheet (link in his sig) ;-)

Yeah, especially when you see the post count. There are better ways to introduce oneself to a forum :-)

It's always annoying how many clicks you need to look up a legendary, just to check if whether you got a good or bad roll on its stats. *Bookmarked* (and in fact, also downloaded to have it available offline ;-))
Could an admin edit the links?

After the "which MP level do you play on" another one of these threads for people to show off. Just like in the other thread some people said they were farming on MP5+ while their gear is crappy as hell, there will be some people here saying "50 is my daily average".
Ok, just to stay on topic: even with my relatively low paragon level (about to hit 40 soon), I have days where I find multiple legendaries - but there are also days where I find none at all. But if there are more than 3 or 5, I keep losing track. I don't know what's wrong with some people, the Internet really has caused some strange behavior... "I'm playing the game as fast as I can but I also really need to keep track of the exact accurate number of my brown drops to show people my e-penis size".
