New Diablo III Console Preorder Bonuses and Exclusives
The preorder bonuses for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Diablo 3 are officially announced!
Prepare your couch and consider fortifying your living room, because on September 3, Diablo® III will unleash hell on both the PlayStation® 3 and Xbox 360®! It pays to be prepared against the forces of the Burning Hells, so get your preorder lined up for the PS3™ or Xbox 360, as added bonuses are in store for those who take the fight for Sanctuary to their big screen TV.
Xbox 360® and PS3™ Preorder Items:
All preorders of the Xbox 360 and PS3™ versions of Diablo® III will include the following diabolically enticing items, available to all five mortal heroes of Sanctuary—be it the Witch Doctor, Barbarian, Wizard, Demon Hunter, or Monk (players who’ve been keeping on top of console-related news will notice that the bounty for preorders has expanded):
"Infernal Helm" – Wearable at level 1, the console-exclusive Infernal Helm in-game item confers a +EXP bonus to help you whip your new PlayStation® or Xbox characters into shape
"Angelic Wings" – Taunt the forces of the Burning Hells by sprouting a cosmetic pair of glowing angel wings
"Bottled Cloud Dye" – Dye your armor sets a cloudy white with this heavenly dye
"Bottled Smoke Dye" – Dye your armor sets an eerie smoky black with this sinister dye
Exclusive PS3™ In-Game Items:
Players who purchase Diablo® III on the PS3™ will also receive five additional PS3-exclusive in-game items:
"The Hero’s Journey" – A Legendary shoulder item that includes a “Journey” style scarf
"Drake's Amulet"– A Legendary amulet that bears a striking resemblance to the ring that Drake wears around his neck in Uncharted
"Leoric's Gauntlets" – These Legendary gloves summon a ghostly skeleton to fight for you
"Leah's Ring" – A Legendary ring, originally given to Leah by Deckard Cain, that's usable at level 60 and provides bonuses to Magic Find, Gold Find, movement speed, and defenses
Please note that console preorder bonuses and PS3-exclusive in-game items cannot be transferred across platforms, and players will need a connection (to Xbox LIVE® or PlayStation® Network, respectively) in order to receive these items.
The fate of Sanctuary rests in your hands, and the PlayStation® 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Diablo® III will be out before summer's end, so make sure to place your preorders with your local retailer soon.
Ready your reflexes and prepare your thumbs for the demon onslaught ahead!
Cool stuff but I don't think I'll preorder just wait until release to pick it up. I have kerrigan wings on PC version and thats good enough for me!

Look at the stats, Meele attackers take 2 dmg per hit, health globes grant +10 health. Those are very low lvl affixes. They're probably still working out the details of those items.
The noteworthy stuff is Shoulders that give movespeed (which for all we know we could be seeing on PC soon - a great way of achieving max movespeed without relying on lucky legendary drops), a Helmetthat gives experience (and could be used from early levels without having to rely on a socketed Helm, or maybe it will have a socket itself) and what sounds like a pretty awesome Amulet for end-game.
Some little time ago we could buy the soundtrack for Diablo 3, that was included in the Collectors Edition.
Now, the wings and bottles smoke / cloud are also availible outside the C.E.
So im stressing up to get collectors edition on time, pre-ordering from 6 different webs just to receive 2 boxes in the end, paying extra money to get my COLLECTORS EDITION EXCLUSIVE angelic wings, only to see that every console tard who just preordered will have them as well? Fu blizzard, you money munching hore!

The only thing I'm pissed about is those red wings. DAMN those look awesome =D I've got the CE wings, but I'd wear those all the time. Maybe we can see them as a super are drop on PC one day >.>
But hey, on the bright side, I was going to buy a PS4 anyway, and it looks like xbox got the short end of the stick lmao
These items... They're so incredibly powerful! //sarcasm
I mean, they would be fine if they could be equipped by level 1 hero. Starting out with a character that has some nice legendaries on it from the very beginning could be a fun way to reward new players who pre-ordered
My God guys, for crying out loud, you don't have to be Einstein to figure this one out. You could have thought about it for a second before posting this sort of comment (or just read my reply).
And even after I read the reply from Lylirra I thought he was wrong (when he said those were the final intended items).
I feel so disappointed with other people sometimes
I am collectors edition owner and DO NOT feel screwed at all by the play station pre order bonuses.
I ask all dissatisfied D3 players to please continue to use the RMAH, or gold auction house, or flippers as a scapegoat for your poor experience, hell go ahead and use the gold dupe from 3 weeks ago that everyone forgot already that was supposed to damage the economy forever. Because honestly complaining about these items is an all time low for this community.
The collectors edition offered so much more than the stupid wings that have sat in the top left corner of my stash since May 15, 2012

Since when can't I leave a negative comment about another obvious Blizzard fail? The items suck and there is no way around it.
Preorder bonusses should be an added bonus. To be honest, I would probably salvage the items. They aren't even worth the stash space, and seeing console gets 1.0.7, the items will not have a further use for item modification.
The red wings are awesome though.

I feel so disappointed with "smart-ass" mods sometimes
Just because he's a mod he's not allowed to post his opinion? Nothing about his comment was smart-ass, he's just calling for common sense.
Common sense is a rare trait in these forums nowadays.
You almost figured it out Lord, but you didn't. The simple fact that you couldn't figure out that your own suggestion was probably the truth and that was placeholder info is being wrong enough. As I said, you don't have to be Einstein to figure that out.
Where did I say he can't post his opinion because he's a mod?
There's a huge difference between posting your opinion about the topic and writing that "you're disappointed by other people". I don't mind people posting their opinions, no matter how absurd they seem to me, but I don't like when you talk about other users instead of the topic.
Edit: or maybe "smartass" is not the best word for it... Sorry for that, I'm not a native english speaker so sometimes I may choose words incorrectly. Still, I have the impression that Zero's second reply in this topic was meant to basically state something like this: "hey, you're stupid, I'm smart".
I have to talk about other users when they're the ones spreading misinformation as if it was a fact. It's even worse when it's a dozen users instead of just one. Absurd opinions become a mess later on with people complaining about things that aren't there, I've seen their results throughout my 2 years as a moderator on DFans (and still see it nowadays). 1 person makes a dumb comment, 100 other people follow suit and help spread the false info. I'm pretty sure a few of the comments that came after yours were "copycats" of your own comment.
If you check my post history you'd see a big part of it is clarifying stuff, explaining quotes, clarifying and bringing people up to date on the facts. I usually don't mind that, not everyone has the obligation of keeping up with all D3 info as I like to do. What annoys me is when dozens of people read something and draw a wrong and absolutely ignorant conclusion from it.
Knee jerk reactions, and in particular ones that are as shallow and ignorant as the ones we've seen in this thread are, in fact, quite stupid.
To be fair, Zero, most people just don't look at previous posts but just want to comment, in particular as this is a news post. Otherwise, I agree. I remember some really ugly examples...
