Unlock #3 - Developer Diary II
Three weeks before preliminary Diablo III internal alpha testing, Jay Wilson, Christian Lichtner, and Jason Regier met again to talk about how employee feedback will help them polish the game in this second video installment of Developer Diaries.
In preparation for the upcoming launch of Diablo® III, we’ve updated the Battle.net® Terms of Use to cover some key changes that will be occurring prior to the game’s release.
New Battle.net Balance Limits and Security Requirements: With the upcoming release of Diablo III’s currency-based auction house, account security will become more important than ever; we are making a few changes to ensure that players who wish to use the auction house have a safe and worry-free experience. Beginning prior to the launch of Diablo III, in order to carry a Battle.net Balance greater than $100 USD (or equivalent), players will be required to attach a Battle.net Authenticator or Battle.net Mobile Authenticator to their Battle.net account. In addition, we will be instituting a Battle.net Balance maximum limit of $250 USD (or equivalent). We’ll go into more detail about the different options for making purchases in the currency-based auction house prior to launch.
Global Play: When Diablo III presales began, we mentioned as part of the purchase process that Diablo III players would be able to choose to play on game servers based in the Americas, Europe, or Asia, regardless of what region they were connecting from or which language-version of the game they purchased (with certain restrictions). As you’ll see in the updated TOU, the name for this functionality is “Global Play,” and we’ll be providing more information about exactly how it works, including the restrictions noted above, prior to Diablo III’s launch.
Stay tuned to diablo3.com for further details on the currency-based auction house and Global Play in the coming weeks.
I thought these videos were in the past but them agreeing with the UI Issues this must be in the future hehe, But this was not a bad video. I kind disliked the past diaries but it does kind of give you a bit of lore of the background development and that's pretty cool.
Can I make a *suggestion* that in future or even as a small edit to this one there is a link to the post that says what all the next unlocks will be that way people can see what it is if they so choose without having to scroll back through all the things to find it.
If you like ill post it in the comments first thing, Just dont think it belongs in the news after that first post

I have that sleep problem too lol... good thing I work from home so I can counter-balance it with sleeping in...
I can't believe that they wouldn't just reshoot some new dev. diaries from this year. Im behind the way blizz makes games, and i don't mind waiting, but i'm sort of embarrassed for them watching jay get excited as 'the game comes together'... a year before the game comes together. regier is going to be tying his shoes with his diableard by the time we get to %90. i just can't figure out why they wouldn't reshoot a new interview, asking them all the same questions. underwhelmed again, i'd take a short gameplay clip over these so far.
The last bit about sleep was the best advise ever. I used to stay up really late - 2 or 3 in the morning and wake up at 7. I realized that I wasn't performing very well and I was always tired. I soon learned you simply must sleep and enjoy sleeping a full 7 to 8 hours, and sometimes if you're a little more tired than usual, go for 10 hours of sleep. I feel SO good after 10 hours.

I'm not sure you understand the point of a dairy vidoe
They are old on purpose, it's a history of how things were at that time, it's really interesting ( to some of course)
They have told us most of all the current stuff in blues , pls this will get to current soon

Tell me how many game companies even waste their time keeping their fans updated on this personal a level? We get news like every other day now...Ever think they're busy because other people are crying about release and a million other things? <_<
I heard it's bad to sleep more than 6hrs a night...You know the same reason its bad to drink too much milk, how it can actually harm your body after years of being told it does a body good
