They're probably not going with moba because they're going to make it so extremely casual that it couldn't be fairly titled as one.Quote from overneatheor as Blizzard like to define the game themselves - Hero Brawler.

Oh just shut up. Maybe people hope that not every portion of their lives - especially their virtual gaming lives - should be governed by their economic status? You probably don't know this because you haven't been around for long enough, but before vanilla's release we were given a promise from Jay Wilson, the lead developer, that we'd be given "definitely more than 20 character slots, but probably less than 50". Then we were given 10 which is just enough to make one char of each type in both softcore and hardcore with no wiggle room. Now with another class along the way, where's the room? Oh, it's in the more expensive copies of the game.Quote from The_Truth
It's hilarious, Really. all you people bitching about extra slots, Slots you probably wouldn't even use but hey lucky for me i know your kind just try digging up any old rehashed invalid reason to try and dirt stain a good game. I swear half you folks have to be them types of people that just never leave you house, Don't work and let family do everything for you. Let me tell you how the world works. The people that have more money and spend more money normally have nicer and better stuff. its the same for this game..if you bitching because of the price, I have some pretty fucking amazing news for you. DON'T BUY IT. STFU and move on to the next game your probably going to bitch about because you cant be happy. or mabye, just mabye you could get a job and stop leeching you could affoid the CE like me Fuck all you hates, die in a hole alone.
By the way, it's spelled "maybe". -

Followed D3 religiously from its announcement and bought the collector's edition for vanilla without a second thought.
Now I don't even want to buy the expac until I see the reviews. Money has no bearing for me, but my disgrace in what D3 has become is. -

Now with RoS, we have different game modes and pretty much the same amount of difficulty modes.
I really worry RoS will suffer the same multiplayer issues the current version has. We need to be able to queue up for multiple difficulties.
A valid concern that I also feel worried about.
It's true that Reaper of Souls will have a Campaign and Adventure Mode (you can read a bit more about Adventure Mode here), but you should still see a healthy pool of multiplayer games. We anticipate a lot of players will spend most of their farming time in Adventure Mode, which is typically when/where players will want to group up,
So essentially, the already tiny population of public players will further diminish slightly by splitting the game into campaign and adventure mode.
and you'll be able to join a clan or community for even more social options.
even more (private game) social options.
To answer your question specifically, though, there are nine different difficulty levels (Normal, Hard, Expert, Master [unlocks at level 60], and Tormet I-V [unlocks at level 70]) and currently you’ll only be able to select one difficulty whenever queuing for Public Games. This is because, right now, there’s a pretty significant difficulty jump between each setting.
I'm currently playing Path of Exile and even though I've completed cruel (equivalent to nightmare in d2), since my gear still isn't good enough, I'm totally fine with farming more in cruel before moving onto merciless (hell in d2).
Now everyone is entitled to be able to play through normal to inferno in 1 run without any backtracking to farm. Just play on any of the 10 difficulty settings that you feel comfortable with which begins at super fucking easy.
We’ll definitely keep an eye on things, and if finding games becomes a problem then we’ll be sure to communicate that to the developers
Finding games is ALREADY a problem. Thank you so much for the console matchmaking system we were given. -

Yeah, PL800 is effectively the level cap. Everything beyond that is just a token increase in primary stat, and +5 per level is not that big a deal compared to the +800 or whatever you can find on an item in RoS.
+5 per level for 1200 levels is 6000 though.
I'm glad that you're all excited for these extra paragon levels, but it just ruins it for me knowing that Blizzard is going to create bind on account items to hinder bot selling, but then have all these stat boosting paragon levels which gives an incentive for bots to exist.
I just preferred the way D2 had it and which PoE has right now. -
Nov 3, 2013Puttah posted a message on Transmogrification No Longer Binds items, "Stay Awhile and Listen" Review, Community Commentary: To Live is to Dieelvy makes a good point though. Sure, we'd get more appearance variability solely with loot 2.0 than we have now, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the item that you've set your eyes on will also look good. Transmog fixes that problem.Posted in: News

Notice it says "torment difficulty or higher" so I'd hazard a guess that the monster power numbered levels will be replaced for fewer and more meaningful difficulty levels.
Keep in mind what those achievements used to be:
- Kill the Butcher without being burned by floor fires or being grabbed by Ancient Spear on Hell difficulty or higher.
- Kill the Butcher in under 2 minutes on Inferno difficulty.
- Kill the Butcher while he is stunned by his own charge attack on Nightmare difficulty or higher.
It sounds like this is a new proper difficulty mode. They've talked about getting rid of Hell before - my guess is they're revamping the difficulty progression to be Normal -> Torment -> Inferno, and the renaming is to prevent confusion since all the level requirements are changing.
That's a good point you make. I've always wanted the number of difficulty levels to be cut back down to 3, but I just gave up hope on that dream. -

But the rest of us are doing it right and switching to mf, killing the elite or boss quickly, then switching back in a matter of seconds.Quote from Kblavkalash
Yeah Number1337 is right. Even though you get more mf, you lose precious time when trying to kill mob with mf gear. I personally die a lot when i change my gear in last seconds.
And I find it stupid and ruins the flow of the game. I'm glad Blizz is going to do something about this.. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

Have you ever tried macroing? It is anything but easy to consider and account for all the possible variations in the environment, monsters, your life, spells, positioning, mouse movements, lag, item drops, etc. etc.
Macroing is for the pros, just my 2 cents.
Exactly why it's against the spirit* of the game.
* = would be replaced for 'rules' if Blizzard weren't greedy hypocrites.

Amongst all the fighting and the fact that I played back when hardly any legendaries would drop so you could get a good idea for what it sounded like, I'd say that they are pretty similar.
And besides, if I had "fail ears" then Blizzard wouldn't be changing the sound now, would they.

I would keep hearing a legendary drop and I would look around frantically for it. Eventually through trial and error after countless false hopes of the sound actually being a legendary ping, I realized it was the barb's overpower.

He mistakenly meant that we're overhyping it in our heads, and it's making us hope that it's going to be something awesome.

I feel like I'm playing a single player game with all my friends having left, and public games? This game isn't going to leap from a single player experience to a multiplayer one when you have 2 bots filling up the 4 player cap in each public game you join.

How many times have I been scammed since then? 0.
Why? Because I've learnt from my experiences.
OP, you will learn too.
