in hell/inferno. mobs wont die in a measely 6 seconds. you can see this in blizzcon previews where it shows the monk beating a mob over and over and over and it still standing. so DoTs will be extremely useful later on in the game. blizzard got a buff IMO because its longer and acts as a slow, blizzard was never meant to be a main dmg dealer its a nice AOE slower that allows you to use other spells more effeciently while the blizzard is going on, and since its longer = more time to effeciently use spells. such as meteor. since meteor takes a second to come down blizzard is perfect used in conjunction.
Very good point sir, I completely agree. The slow does make it feasible in certain situations: what that's like in inferno, who knows
It'll be nice in inferno, however, actually needing to slow mobs.
Ok they updated the Patch note to clarify:
The non-hired version of the Templar has had its damage reduced and will now deal approximately the same amount of damage as the hired version
So they have. I wonder why that version of the Templar needed changing at all; didn't seem like he was overpowered.

i know right...but basically recently blizzard said they are just there for some tanking and buffs

He wasn't overpowered, but it was obvious that after he became your follower, his damage went way down. It seemed stupid. He's just more consistent now. I'd like his damage output to be a little higher; but at least he's the same weaponless and with weapons (ie, useless).
Would it be possible putting those long threads in appropriated spoiler boxes so that I don't get a finger cramp scrolling down the main page?
Thanks :$
wow awesome. patch 15 permanantly crashed the servers. sign of delay*
Yeah, the servers caught the digital version of the flu.
i bet they arent even working on it over the weekend. there like "shit its gonna take awhile to fix, lets just go home, start again monday, beta is beta"
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
"once the pretty hardcore gamers we had testing inferno found it fairly difficult, we then we doubled it" -trolololol jay wilson
It just makes me worried about live servers ... the patch team seems a little shaky. But maybe that's the way they treat beta. Who's betting on midnight connection issues on launch
I guess there could be a silver lining to this, relatively speaking. Supposing the beta servers are back up on Monday, we'll not only have D3 to play, but also loads of new information about MoP to read about.
