We know that the demons are coming back from the Burning Hells because of Heaven.:( Here's a quote to prove my theory: [quote]: And the Heavens shall tremble [quote]
This is clearly Tyrael not Imperius. If it was Imperius then he would not have the 2 O things on his breastplate.
Don't think anyone disagrees that its Tyrael on the main page. Its pretty obvious DEMONS are going to be coming back (otherwise WTF we doing playing D3?). Not sure what you're trying to say here.
in the lore thing i read Heaven and Hell were always evenly matched and that is why both angels and demons are fighting for power over sanctuary-they need humans to tilt the war to their favor. so even if heaven did absolutely nothing-according to what i read-the demons would still come back to try and turn us all.
oh almost forgot as for it being Tyrael on the hom page i'm pretty sure of that but-it could by Inarius. it says in the book that they both look extremely alike but there are only very minor differences in the armor. But agreed it is probably not Imperius.
I think that this can be related to the quote "what in the hells is that." Bashiok followed up on another thread saying that there are more than one "hell." Perhaps the "Heavens shall tremble" is referring to a possibility of there being more than one heaven.
Anyways, I don't think anybody argued against Tyrael being on the front cover.
Heavens shall tremble probably refers to the christian belief in the three heavens (the sky, the space and stars, and paradise [Where God is]). Since it has been commonly used in real life, it could be supposed that it was used for Diablo 3 because it is such a common noun.

I wish I had read the stories, and I may at some point. I don't think it is necessarily based on the Christian ideas of Heaven and Hell... I don't recall Diablo, Asmodan, Belial, etc being referenced in the Bible so I don't really think that the Heavens would take the Christian belief while the Hells took on some other belief.
I forget which religion or set of beliefs they took the Hells from... I'll have to look it up.
I'm just not sure that their heaven and hell really conform to anything other than the lore they create for it other than the names they lifted from other religions. *shrug*

I don't think so. Iit says Heavens, then it probably does mean that there are several "heavens" in Diablo.

When we say: Up in the skies - we don't really mean there's more than one sky.
Yeah that's a saying. But this is one line which is supposed to describe the entire game more or less. I think there's a bit more to it than just a borrowed phrase.

I don't find anything unusual with it. I don't think there's any hidden meaning or a slip from Blizzard revealing part of the storyline.
They made it so because it sounds more poetic that way. And cooler.
And heaven shall tremble -
And the heavens shall tremble +

The Barbarian is from Arreat, a very cold snowy mountain top, but they are much tougher than normal humans, so they don't need warmth.

Where are Barbarians originally from? Sumeria, or more specifically Mesopotamia, AKA Europe. Think the Alps and the Pyrenees

I would have thought the same if they didn't throw the "what in the hells is that" along with Bashiok's response "there are many hells in Diablo."

It just seems like it's on that same vein.
Also, it would have been just as easy to say "And Heaven shall tremble" or some such. But they specifically said Heavens.
Not that it's all tha timportant anyway. So what, there are more Heavens? It still doesn't change the fact that Heaven, as a collective, is ruled by the Angiris and fights Hell. It's more of an interesting detail for now.

Maybe (referring to someone's quote saying we will get to heaven eventually) it is like the levels of hell in Diablo 1. Maybe they give us levels so that we actually venture through each one in the future.

This quote does not clearly involve anything about the Burning hells, only that there is to be strife in the heavens.
