Before I answer your questions, I'd like you to answer some. You know, it's not my job to sit around here and explain the rules of the forum to you when they're clearly spelled out in the thread I linked you to.
It's my turn to ask...
1) Why do you feel like the banner needs to be replaced with one fan-made?
2) Why instead can't you offer suggestions to the design team (who are more than willing to take them and put them to use) rather than submitting ones that won't be accepted? This would be totally within the rules and allow for fan influence over the design decisions - to a reasonable degree.
That is all.
1)I feel that a popular vote would single out the most attractive banner and might ultimately attract more users with its aesthetic appeal.
2)I recently thought you were the lone designer. So I submitted a concept to you. But, to be honest, I really wanted to do something for the site. I mean, the current banner is ok but its got issues such as: poorly blended areas, pixely roughness near the borders, and a big open space. I put some effort into fixing those issues and I was turned down, I was admittedly angered by the blatant wall set in front of me. It felt like you crushed my baby with a 20 pound sledge:O:( I'm sorry for being snappy.
So the only way around this barrier is to become a design member. The rule around here is apparently "ask and you shall never receive" when it comes to any sort of staff position, so I am hesitant to ask. But can I be a design member, pwetty pwease?:cute:
And, yeah, asking really wont get you on the team. Show us what you can do (and by that I mean through suggestion and display, not submissions) and you may wind up on the team.
PS: You are forgiven. Just remember in the future that even if the reason is not immediately evident for a staff decision or a rule, there usually is a good one.

I get you, I'm glad we came to an understanding. So I work on a few concepts and submit the basic ideas (not full production pieces) here, right? I already have a few.:)
Idea #1) The Diablofans community spans the globe and is referred to as the World of Sanctuary, so the globe of Sanctuary may be befitting to place at the header.

It looks like someone spilled coffee on our banner:D I dig the tarnished look but that big stain in the upper left is too big and solid. I would break it up a bit, but thats just me:rolleyes:
I'm not sure if this belongs in here or not, I couldn't find a questions thread and I'm loath to create to ones- but how do you know if you have an infraction or not? Where does it show up?
53.
well if i may ask, im thinking of a shoutbox for each forum (for lore and storyline, for diablo 3, suggestions etc) this would speed up the process of chatting, i think it's a good idea. wat u guys think? (NOTE: if there are too many ppl in a chat box, there might be some apparent lag or server overload)
-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
im sorry ive been gone a few days so i have no idea what has happend, but what has happend to the starcraft and warcraft forums, our we turning to purly diablo now? * also im not complaining just wondering*
A lot of threads have been closed due to double thread topics. However, I do agree that the site should be a little more organized. I'm not saying this is a bad site, Diablofans.com brings in recent news very quickly and I'm happy for that!:) However, the forum topics could be organized a little more. There is not much difference discussing topics from Diablo 3 to Diablo 3 Game suggestion. The topic of just diablo 3... is too vague and it only has 2 sub topics. Threads get lost because of too many new threads popping up there since people are posting anything related to Diablo III in that section. May I suggest more subtopics? Diablo III Classes, Diablo III Story, Diablo III Gameplay, Diablo III Art/Graphics (Which exists but for some reason in a different area). Maybe not those topics, but you get what I'm saying.

Visual aid:
[this is not any form of submission]
Fuck you, I'm a dragon.

Visual aids aren't necessary, but neither are they prohibited.

I dont know, but you dont have an infraction
I've never been given an infraction either so I'm not sure
My Site suggestion is easy (sorry if its already been posted):
Make the default skin of the site be "SpeedVision." The current skin contrast is really bad.
My thoughts- yours may vary.
ETA: Or at least change the thread titles from "red" to a color of text that is used within the topic. Much easier to read.

the closed we have is the chatroom, which does work, you just have to use the right one.

Movies and TV, and Book,Comics,Stories w/e should all go in general chat.
Making Controversial points one post at a time!
This is mainly a graphics quibble.
Make the header image at the top blend seamlessly into the repeating image behind it.
I recommend using a transparent PNG.
It's time to welcome the other 80% of the color wheel to a Diablo game.
