Apr 2, 2010Murderface posted a message on Vote for Blizzard! This is an atrocity, I'm just gonna stop using the internet altogether if zynga or whatever wins this. I cannot be partied to this insanity.I can live with Bioware beating Blizz but I just cant stand to see zynga beat Valve. I mean CSS, TF2, DoD, L4D, L4D2, Portal, and FUCKING HL2! Beat by a bunch of stay-at-home moms and twilight fans. :'(Posted in: News

Dec 11, 2009Murderface posted a message on The Wait is Over -- PTR Patch 1.13Posted in: NewsBecause this is why:
1.)Fixed an item dupe bug.
- Fixed an item dupe bug rather then work on hacks. Tried to fix an economy that was already trashed and this will play very little part in fixing it, otherwise this is wasted man power.
Dupes are the only reason the economy is trash.
2.)Increased the drop rate of high runes.
Increased drop rate which is good, but there is already a huge abundance of them out there this just makes them worth less.
There wont be any abundance once the ladder resets.
3.)Nightmare/Hell WilloWisps champions/uniques have had their damage greatly reduced.
These were never an issue if you actually had some resistance on your character and knew how to play your character.
They make your first couple of runs through the game hell. Once you get a good item base they aren't much of a problem but it's still broken.
4.)Uber Mephisto and Uber Baal's summoned minions no longer give experience.
So now instead of doing Ubers to make my guy level 90 in an hour
That doesn't sound extremely broken to you?
An instakill challenge isn't fun at all.:mad:5.)Removed Oblivion Knight's Iron Maiden curse.
So now chaos sanc has absolutely no threat in it...again yippee! Now any newb can go in there unscathed and kill Diablo.
6.)Blessed Hammer - No longer ignores resistances of undead and demons.
This is probably only good thing they did, except you know hammers are still retardly overpowered and should be nerfed.
Maybe they will nerf it more, the patch is still in testing. -

How are people not stoked about this patch?
They have cleared up almost every gripe I had with the game.
They introduced respec to see how it works in d2 so that they can better implement it in d3. I had an inkling that they were going to do this with some aspect of d3.
Sure, there is no new lore content and that is a let down, but something tells me we wont have to wait too much longer for our lore fix.

Dec 10, 2009Murderface posted a message on #7 According to DestructoidIf this list was based on originality it would be a decent list. If it was based on replayability this list would be absolute garbage. Mass Effect and Bioshock should have been at least top 20, and while I despise halo it still deserves a slot in the top 50 even if it was dead last. Left 4 Dead should have been in the top 10. I do agree with SotC being first however. All around great game, it didn't have much of a story line but it felt like you were living the story so it didn't matter. The visuals were so excellent that I didn't mind riding my horse for 20 minutes to get to the next boss. Every boss fight was unique and every one of them struck a chord with me. I almost felt bad killing some of them.Posted in: News

Nov 2, 2009Murderface posted a message on Griefing, Health Orb Mechanics and More with Jay WilsonI love how douche bags are upset that they can't go out and ruin someones experience of D3. TPPKers are finally getting what they had coming to them, an omission from D3. They never said they were going to remove PvP, they just said that the hostile system is generally unneeded for PvP. If an arena was implemented it would make dueling tournies much easier to organize, and there could be wagers and prizes and all kinds of perks and acheivments.Posted in: News

My account is Murderface#1556 I'll try to be on more, I've been going between D3 and medieval II recently.
My views have somewhat stayed the same. A little less extreme. I've come to understand the failings of society on a deeper level, and in doing so realized that volition of the people is the only deciding factor in any socio-economic system. I no longer align with conservatism or liberalism because I believe them to be a sort of false dichotomy, and an assault on free thought. Religious views have stayed the same. I believe anything is possible and nothing is certain. I leave it at that.

Not abad idea though, it's already a pretty well established class, themeatically speaking. Magic carpet ride as a spell? Summon a huge snake that coils around a group of monsters and explodes? Wind magic stuff like sandstorm, or sonic blades? Sand armor? A spell that increases your attack speed by 400% that gives you 8 scimitar wielding arms for a duration like akarats, archon, or wotb? Summon giant scarabs? SUMMON FLOATING SCIMITARS?!? Yes please.

I'm thinkingabout emailing them, but if you know how to get hold of anyone it'd be a big help. It's good to see you around though. When I look around the general forums the only familiar names I see are the staff. It makes me sad. I really miss everyone, and all their forum shenanigans.

Well, let's see. I went to college, couldn't figure out which career to enslave myself to, so I started a band. We've played a few shows now, and hope to be recording soon. For money I do contract work at a local elderly community. You?

Good tosee a familiar face. I dissapeared around launch and almost all of the old guard dissapeared before that, around the time of the Curse buyout. I quit playing D3 because of AH like I'm sure a lot did, but came back cause I heard they killed AH. The game is 10x what it was for me at launch. I actually find things now. Imagine that. Plus, the crusader is solid, and so is act 5.
So, do you keep in touch with anyone from the glory days?
