Well, first of all, the game's graphics can be recreated in a WarCraft game, which just goes to show that the graphics are somewhat WarCraft-based. Notice I said somewhat, not wholly. And second, the huge enemies and outlandish boss entries that WarCraft has are set into Diablo 3. It might just be me, but I believe that Diablo 3 owes a lot of credit to WarCraft towards game design...but I highly doubt I'm wrong. Anyway, as for the gameplay, it's perfect. Just like Diablo 3 should be; a Hack n' Slash type game. Now keep in mind, I don't mind that it's turning out this way, I'm just proving a point. Although, I am a bit mad that some concepts were implemented into it. Oh well.
Edit: Also, I can tell that the Diablo 3 Team is trying hard to make the feel of the game seem more Diablo...an example would be the statues at the end of the staircases. They were once deformed-looking griffins of some kind, but are now demon heads. A brilliant improvement, in my opinion. I really hope I see more of these kinds of improvements in the future.

I really don't think the fact that you can skin reasonable interpretations of the three Diablo characters skins into Warcraft III has any great relevance in the "Diablo looks like Warcraft" debate. I'm sure the creator of the mod could skin just about any characters from any game and they would be recognizable to most.
For those who've already seen the mod... well, it's new to me (and Bashiok as well, as you can see from his response), so don't assume everybody else has seen it. If you ever come across something interesting like this that we haven't already posted a news thread about, I encourage you guys to send me (or any of the other staff members) a PM about it. If we think it's something news-worthy, we'll post it up on the homepage and credit you for the scoop!
As I have noted before, it seems far more enjoyable to flex our fan cred and awesome knowledge than to help you in any constructive way. Sorry, mockery. Them's the breaks, and that's the thanks you get for all of your hard work.
Blizzard do you see what you're effing doing to us? Someone had to literally create the game you obviously won't! Alright I'm getting my usual nausea that sets in after about...say...10 seconds of dwelling on the fact that the game isn't out. If anyone needs me I'll be running a hot bath and getting intimate with razor blades.
Yes. I played this map on custom a while back on the ole WC3. It's just like the initial demo video.

All this proves is that Diablo 3 is more like WarCraft than anything else. It just makes me even more mad...

I agree on both. Back when the petitions were going on and all of that uproar (that I was behind) I thought that Blizz would make some changes; even small ones. There is just no way they could completely ignore feedback on a project; no matter how positive, negative, or seen as absurd.
But I'm not opening this can of worms again. I got enough of that shit a few months ago and with what my sig was.

Long, long time Diablo fan; short, short time with DiabloFans. USEast D2 Ladder/1.13 Beta: Accnt = ChezPizmo USEast WCIII Ladder: Accnt = TeeheeSprinkles A cool, unrelated video; "Dude Bids 420 on Price is Right" ("420, Bob") "I'm nasty, I'm old and a little bit ornery; I look like Patrick Stewart and sound like Sean Connery." In multiplayer maps, the 2nd or blue player cannot play as the witch doctor, tested it with a friend, its just that slot that bugs out. if anyone knows the mapmaker tell him, lol. other than that, really fun gameplay...tyrael is hard lmao.
I found there was a problem sustaining mana with the wizard, the mana regen was just way too slow, which slowed down game play, once the mana regen is upped it shouldnt be a problem, it was really slow even with 5/5 regen(250% mana regen)
All and all 4/5 for the wizard class( going to be playing the others soon)

I basically just healed and leeched while he did most of the damage
I think it should be played with at least 3 people, each taking one character
All and all 4/5 for the wizard class( going to be playing the others soon)
really well done map imo
