posted a message on Looking at beta, how many times longer do you think D3 will be?
I think what we play in the beta is only about a third of Act 1 at most. If it is any more than that I would be pretty concerned about the game's length, story wise.

Everything seems to point towards Leah being the new Diablo. Kind of lame but what can you do?

posted a message on How do you feel about only 4 people in party?
It is one of the few changes I actually like. People are kidding themselves if they think 8 players per game was a good system, if you were melee you were just there for your buffs as the ranged would kill everything before you even swung a weapon. It was basically just a clusterfuck with eight people.

Sorry to burst the bubble but I play SC2 on both SEA and NA and I get less lag when using NA. The servers for SEA are still physically in North America.

posted a message on The Three Prime Evils: We've Only Ever Killed Their Human Hosts
As far as I am concerned, Diablo really should be dead as we killed him in hell and that should be that.

But... I can see Blizzard explaining his return by saying that Diablo is still in "Human Form" when we kill him in Hell as the "heroes were able to make their way through the portal and kill him before he could transform back to his natural "hell self".

I've had a nerd boner over this for the last 72 hrs. I know I should go to the hospital but... I don't want to risk missing the info streamed into my ears live. I think the only cure at this point is for them to announce a solid time frame for the beta. I'd blow my nerd load everywhere.

    too graphic?
Not at all, elaborate further please.

All of these Screenshots are so "samey". Would have preferred some new video releases even if it is just 30 seconds per batch.

Yeah, it was a very poor gesture from Blizzard but the good news for us is the less they gave out there at Blizzcon the more chance we have of getting one.

We are in 21st century guys.
The notion of being satisfied with the most basic feature in Battle.net 2.0 quite surprises me.
Why would Blizzard even bother to call it a Battle.net 2.0 when it doesn't achieve any more than what the 1.0 did?

On top of that, the custom game system is completely out of whack. You don't know whose playing what, and for the most part you have to wait in lobby hoping someone clicks the same game, as suppose to there being a list of games waiting to be played. (People can join faster, more importantly newer maps can be played by more players) What bothers me is Battle.net 1.0 had it all right, and it didn't need any change.

If I was in a Battle.net 2.0 design team, I would have left the custom game system the same. It was good as it was, you really can't improve beyond that other than minor tweaks. But Bnet 2.0 really went back in time and made playing any custom games almost impossible. [I don't enjoy it, its pain in the ass to find a good game to play]

Secondly, achievements are great but is it really something that most people care about? Sure, it's cool for the first time and beyond that, no one really cares. [It does not suffice to grant an upgrade from 1.0 to 2.0]

The only thing in Battle.net 2.0 that gives me "wow" factor is the implementation of Auto-matching. This is the only "Good" part of Battle.net 2.0.

It's obvious that Battle.net 2.0 needs some tweaking to be done before Diablo 3 is released. There is no way that Jay Wilson and his team will use a "rushed-Battle.net 2.0 system that is on constant patch" in the mostly anticipated game of the decade. No way.... Jay saw it with his own eyes the failure that SC2 went through, not again.

After all, Battle.net 2.0 was rushed and for that reason, they couldn't implement a working chat channel couple months after the release. How do you expect anything to work properly when they work in a such rushing manner, without much iteration. According to Jay Wilson and his philosophy of iterating multiple times to achieve the best UI, theres no way he would've left Battle.net 2.0 as it is right now. not even close to what it is.... no way...

Dustin Bowder needs to be fired. (Not joking at all)

My thoughts exactly, if someone had have shown me what the Battle Net 2.0 Interface and Features would have been like back in 2002 I would not have believed them and would have been very confused as to why it was so feature-less and difficult to navigate.

The fact that it took them months to even integrate something as basic as chat channels into Battle net 2.0 is an absolute joke. On top of that, the channels are inferior to those of the old battlenet and so many functions like /w are missing.

Let us hope Battlenet undergoes further improvements before Diabloo 3's release.

Auction House will be great, unfortunately people will hate on it just because it was a major part of WoW.
I really think it is the best/only system if you want a strong money based economy in Diablo 3 and I look foward to it.
