Yes, it did. It exaggerated an aspect of city life to show a point- even the people you pay to protect you and your loved ones can have a price *cough be bribed cough*. Of course that isn't true for everyone, but en mass, it's true. I liked it because it did what it was supposed to do well, but I also disliked it because its a stereotype.
yeah i dont like how almost all the cops were bad, it never even told why
you didnt watch the cartoon or Batman movie that prequels the Dark Knight?
the cops are all paid off by the gangs and mobs and mafias of a very dark and troubled Gotham. its one of the main selling points of the Batman series. a virtually completely corrupt city in the hands of criminals, but one lone vigilante that will don a mask to fight the crime. theres alot of internal conflict as well. 9.33333 bar/10
i didnt like the fact they mainly used Chicago for Gotham this time around, the Gotham in the prequel was much darker and rendered in classic batman style. the one in dark knight wasnt exactly that immersing and sometimes felt out of place. thats just one of three problems i saw other than plot holes which are unavoidable in any good movie. the other one is that ***-**** died in about 20 mins and the ending seemed to be rushed.

i actually liked it better in chicago, they used nihgt scenes good too. But i could see where you would get that but i like it that way.
your from chicago though arnt you? it kinda ruins the atmosphere when you can look and say, 'what a minute, i know that building!'
but the night scenes are good, especially after the Joker ******* from county or whatever and his head is out the window and that buzzing sound is on...sends me chills.
yay 500 posts!!!

When I can feel that parts of a movie are reflecting the current state of affairs I like it more. There were several that I thoroughly enjoyed especially since they were so well meshed into the Batman universe.
Since it’s not a spoiler mentioning lines from the trailers the
The night is always darkest before the dawn
was one of those moments. Though I wish it was commenting about gas prices, certainly some things will be changing for the better that we can still have hope for.

lol, that's actually why the cops there are so corupted, they didn't have enough money for gas:) My mother is in the hospital, the gas prices were going up!
First time I've really gone 'Woah!' in a movie since the movie Shutter (thai version, not the shitty american remake).
And it's not Ledger's last performance, his last one is in The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.

I like the film. I would easily give it a 8 or 9.

Yeah... because this problem is avoidable if you shoot the film in some other giant city..
