Will it really? I don't know how you do it, but personally after IDing, having the vendor/BS tab open, i check the items one by one and sell/salvage them after seeing the bad stats, before moving on to the next item.
Not that i'd be against such a function, no harm, but selling all in one click won't save me any time, only clicks.
As a reminder, you are not speaking directly to 'blizzard' on a fan site.
always get a hate comment first.... doh
I know im not speaking to blizzard, but they are the ones who decide this. And if clicking once as opposed to 50times doesnt save you any time... u must be some sort of wizard :Thumbs Up:

I have to agree with Turtle. You're going to hover your mouse icon over the item to inspect it anyhow....might as well right-click when the item reveals itself as garbage. Not much time being saved here.....
Sell All will have a huge drawback, which is accidentally selling other items you may be carrying with you in your inventory.
For instance, I always have potions, a full stack or so of Exquisite Essences, Tears, Tomes and space for Demonic Essences. I occasionally also carry parts of my CM wizard set if I choose to gear swap for full Hybrid builds.
There are already so many players who complain about accidentally selling or salvaging their main gear, a function like Sell All would open doors to more costly mistakes. At that point, it'll take longer to sort out your inventory prior to setting up for a massive Sell All session.

Very good point and a definitive thread killer. I cannot see anyway for this idea to grow legs.

Yeh it would have to be something like a "sell all id'd items" or something along those lines...or maybe have the first line of the inventory box not "locked" or something. I like the idea of a penalty for selling something you shouldnt have though... want to go fast..take risks

prob right, just thought id throw a quick thread in there today... have have mondays off ...
Not sure about sell all. I really don't think it would save a lot of time considering you have to look at the item to decide to sell or keep for AH, or salvage whatever you are into. You can take the extra .02 seconds to right click and sell. Will reduce a lot of risks.
However, I would love a pick up all option with a filter

Blizzard reads this site quite often ^_~
Though speaking out directly wont get you a reply, feedback is always grabbed from multiple sources from Blizzard.

Checkbox option that says, "Only pick up items when holding down *hotkey.*"
I think having a /nopickup (via D2) to prevent stumbling over loot during combat and picking up tons of junk whites....that would save a lot of time.
Actually it would be even better if white and grey items didn't drop in inferno difficulty. Drops could roll a white or grey item to keep the drop rates the same but it would not drop to prevent the flood of items. It could be done as an option if some players for some reason still want white and grey items in inferno.
I would prefer them to figure out how to make white and blues have some use, some kind of potential.
I'm actually surprised that I never hear anyone complain about mis-clicking on junk loot, and the fact that there isn't a /nopickup option.
This issue drives me nuts but nobody seems to care. Makes me wonder if I'm missing something, because I rant out loud everytime I play about this issue when I'm dumping loads of junk that I accidentally picked up.

Convert them to gold when you run near them? I know I don't want to start having to pick up / examine white / blue items because Blizz decided to make them "useful". I don't even examine rares most of the time, though hopefully the itemization changes will fix that part.
I'd vote for /nopickup though.

I very much THIS...but i dont rant b/c i'll get the usualy whine whine gg statements... (but this is very much an issue that needs to be addressed)....esp when it causes your WTOB to expire prematurely
RIght clicking isn't fast enough for you? You'd save what, 5 seconds? Sell-all is not even worth development time, and in my opinion, a bad idea.
This was the same argument used against the ID-ALL option... However, that argument was not enough to ward off the folks who claim the time it took to ID stuff was the straw that broke their camel’s back and thus quit the game... I can see it now; there will be somebody that quits playing D3 because of the time it takes to sell their trash... You wait, it will happen. lol
Identifying artificially slowed down a process to determine whether or not an item had any worth to you and for what purpose it served (upgrade/vendor/ah/essence), once you are at that point, how quickly you deal with it is entirely up to you. Personally I've found I am quite the expert at turning an entire inventory into essences and banking them in a very professional time. You get pretty good at it after a while.
As the game is item driven, it is no surprise that most of the game is spent fiddling with items, but you don't even really have to kill two champ packs to fill your inventory so I'm ok with I'd all
@nodnarb
They could implement it. I wouldn't use it. I'd simply request that it's made in such a manner that I'm not accidentally clicking the "sell all" button.
@ruksak
I actually think a far better solution would be a "slider" that would let you define the lowest level of loot you wanted to see. Grey - White - Blue - Yellow - Green/Orange. Obviously crafting materials would bypass this filter, but I think it would be far more utilitarian and would be much better-adaptable should they make white items useful in the future.
